American Air & Heat said we needed a condenser, and a whole new system would be best since ours was old. I was skeptical and didn't like the price, but I knew the one we had was old, and it was HOT in August. They could do it the next day, so we just went with them. They seemed to do a good job and even changed some of the air ducts to distribute the air better.

Salesman was knowledgeable and professional. Duct crew was efficient & neat. Air-cond. crew was efficient, professional and neat.

Service was ok, however, I did not appreciate the hard sell telling me that this unit, just 9 years old at the time, needed to be replaced. The unit had a bad circuit board, 2 capacitors and a start switch which were in need of replacement, but I was also told by Todd that the coil was leaking and that the compressor is on it's last leg based on the readings from a wonky resistance meter he hooked up to it, neither of which were true. Todd replaced the faulty parts and the system started right up, but over 1.5 years later, the compressor is still going strong and the coil is not leaking, never has. System pressure is still perfectly normal. I really didn't appreciate being lied to. Another technician that came out six months later for a routine service told me everything was fine and the system was in good shape - no leaks, compressor readings normal. A third technician that came out six months later gave me a similar song and dance about needing to replace the system, yet all readings were normal or better. He told me I needed a new start capacitor, which it did need, but I chose to buy the part from Rheem and do the work myself. Just don't trust them at this point. I did not renew my maintenance agreement. At almost eleven years old, the system is still working perfectly and keeps the house as comfortable as the day it was installed. Be Leary of service techs that are also salesmen. I don't mind paying for good service, but at least be honest with the diagnoses.

The price was very competitive. The quality of their service was good. They are very courteous, clean, and do not track dirt in my house. Everything about them is just very professional. I have not had them yet try to sell me a part of my AC that I did not need. They have always been honest with me. They are on time and they call before they get here.

They are good. I never had a problem with them. That is why I am still with them today and been with them for years not particularly because they are cheap but because of the quality of the people and the work that they do. I would recommend them.

They've been my service provider for years.

He came a couple of times & I expected him to tell me how much he owned for the service but he never showed up. He did not finish the service because somebody else told him it was not necessary. His van is full of flags and signs of America. He came out and was charging me $5000 to replace the whole system and then a co-worker of mine told me he needed to check before I pay. My co-worker came over and said there was a part that needed to be replaced and it would only cost $75. He was very punctual and professional. He almost stole from me $5000 and I would not recommend him.

Both the consultation and the installation went very smoothly. Todd, the sales consultant we worked with, helped us find several rebates which reduced the cost of the new unit. The installation technicians were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and clean. I would highly recommend American Air & Heat based on this experience.

Its a very unethical way they talk to people and do business. They think the consumer will accept anything they say about correcting they're error.

On 7/22/2015 I had the usual Summer service, and it was found I had rust in the air handler, and there was a Freon leak, and the outside main unit had parts that were ready to go, so a whole new HVAC was needed. It was put in today, and the two fellows that did the job were very good, efficient, and cleaned up afterward. I have been a client of American Air and Heat for many years, and keep up with the service contract which brought the cost down a little. I didn't see a need to get other estimates since I have been with American Air and Heat for I am guessing probably 25 - 30 years or more. Their service techs are always good, and happy to pat the little dogs, and just very personable. I haven't had any issues with being uncomfortable with them or feeling like they were anything but very honest and trustworthy. Being a widow, and a senior that is very important. They call to remind you of the appointment, and then to let you know they are on their way, and that is helpful.

after the service man left we both felt taken advantage of. we just paid someone to give us a quote on a new air system. There was no service done! He suggested and quoted a system that he said was best deal for a contractor system a better system would run up to Ten thousand dollars. We contacted another company who came out at no cost to us and walked us through the best type of system for our needs and gave us a better price for a better system and with no pressure. There was pushing us to find financing and they were willing to wait until we were ready. they also stated that they would pull the proper permits and apply for any additional rebates if available. American representative said we didn' t need a permit and did not mention rebates available. We also were given a discount because I am a school teacher. I would not recommend American Air and Heat based on our experience

We have used American Air and Heat for several years now and even had them put in a new AC unit. We have always been happy until recently. We have a maintence contract with them where they come and check out our units. We have had visit scheduled twice now which they have called and cancelled the day before. We ask for a 8:00 appointment as we both work. On both occasions they have called the afternoon before and said they have to reschedule because an "emergency meeting" has been called. Then they they'll us they can see us between 9-12. We can't do that. How many emergency meetings do they have? Forget about arranging a Saturday appointment. We have now rescheduled for a 3rd time. There was no consideration that they were canceling a appointment.. My problem is this is a maintenance contract we already paid for. Could that be it, they will not make any money on us. Well we have 2 units and will need to replace the other and we will think long and hard before calling them. Very unprofessional. Could they have changed management? Not sure what is happening but very disappointed. Not the same company. That being said the work they did when putting in the new AC was very good and they were clean courteous and very professional. We were very happy with that work. Wonder if maintenance work is handled under different management.

I call to purchase a ac service plan the technician that show up was very knowledgeable and did a OK job. After he was done with the service he came to told me my ac was on is last mile and I needed to think about changing it. From there everything when down hill look like the technician was also a sale rep. He was very good at selling even maybe better at this that performing the work I paid him to do. He was very pushy and before he left I sign a financing contract for above $12000 to change the ac the next day. After he left when I had time to think about what I just did without him pressuring me I call them back and THANK GOOD I cancelled everything. I just change my ac with a other company I paid half the price for the same product. and I am very happy with the work the do. Please call other company to make sure they are the best fit for you before you buy from them. One more think when I first start this processes their listing on Angie list was not a A I do not know if every year the restart new.

This companies workers were very thorough. They were prompt, they were pleasant, they were hard workers. They were very professional. They made sure before they left that everything worked perfectly, and looked nice. They came back a couple days later to make sure we were happy with the way the new equipment was working, and that it was indeed working perfectly.

I am delighted with services provided by American Air and Heat. Have used their services and purchased equipment from them for at least 10 years, most recently this last Friday. As always, the technician arrived during the specified time frame and work was executed in a timely and profession manner (and at a very reasonable price). They always meet their commitments and provide special courtesies to support their customer?s needs. I will continue to promote this company to my friends and neighbors with complete confidence.

This is the company which had been doing maintenance and inspections on the now 20 year old system in our house which we rented for 2 years before buying last year. Our system drain clogged and backed up and we called them to come unclog it and inspect the system, which they did. They talked us into a new "maintenance agreement" which covered the inspection and the repair and would offer us 10% off all parts, including a new system install, which they ended up recommending. We had an estimator come out 7/15/2014 (after trying to come a day early when he got confused). He was over an hour late. When all finished he recommended 4 levels of systems and pushed the 0% financing hard, trying to sell on monthly payments. Also pushed an electronic air cleaner (for $718 at their 10% discount). The prices on all four systems were way, way above every other quote we have gotten even with the supposed 10% discount applied. As he was leaving he tried to convince me that they were a little slow and I could get an additional 5% off these prices if I acted within a week (classic high ball technique). Needless to say, they won't be the ones installing that system when we replace it. They seem reasonably competent and nice but are outrageously priced.

The sales associate and the company staff were all so very helpful. They immediately came out and gave me their estimate for total replacement. The company offers an "Apples to Apples" comparison of product and services. They DID drop their price to compete with the other estimates. They were in the TOP 2 choices.

He's pretty happy with them. When we first we had the AC unit installed, they kinda messed up they had to come back three times to get everything working properly but the thing was they came back. We were happy with that.

Very satisfied. I gave the pricing of this work a "B" because it wasn't cheap but I am very satisfied with the quality of the merchandise. Richard & Mike the two technicians arrived on time to perform the work. They were very neat and professional and were careful to ask me throughout the process before proceeding with tasks that needed my attention to insure my satisfaction. It took them approximately eight hours to replace all the components and perform system testing. They also replaced the circuit breaker for the A/C system in my circuit box. There were no issues that prevented them from completing the work. Fortunately it was a beautiful day and any air discomfort was at a minimum. They also submitted the necessary paperwork to my energy company to insure I received my $100 rebate from my electric bill. Angies list also provided a $150.00 discount on the installation cost.

Troy arrived on time and gave a very understandable description of what he was going to do. He did a great job in making certain our system was working at peak efficiency. We happily renewed our service contract and look forward to their visit in the spring. We have been regular customers of American Air and Heat for around 20 years and have found them to be reliable and friendly folks who stand behind their work. I recommend them without reservation.
