AFFORDABLE APPLIANCE SERVICE

I called on Sunday to try to set up an appointment to repair a refrigerator and an oven. I knew he was closed on Sunday so left a message explaining the problem. I gave my name and number twice. He never called back on Monday.

Tried to schedule repair several times with little to no response. Submitted all info over text messages and said he would be in touch to schedule the repair. Had to follow-up several times where he replied he would be in touch. I never heard back. This company has little regard for customer service, not sure how this company is rated an A on Angie's List after seeing similar complaints.

Jeff was extremely helpful on such short notice. My fridge/freezer stopped cooling in the morning, and Jeff came out to fix the issue within a couple hours. He was able to determine that the heating element had burned out and needed to be replaced. The next morning, there was a burning smell coming from the fridge. Jeff came out again within a couple hours and found a small piece of plastic that dislodged and fell on the element. This was no fault of Jeff's, as this was really just bad luck. He replaced the element again at no cost and had the fridge working within an hour. I would highly recommend Affordable Appliance.

Wowsers! Very responsive and quick. We had suspected our dryer door tension switch was busted, as our dryer worked one moment and then the next morning nothing. The little door switch was all flappy and useless. After making the initial call, Jeff got back to me quickly, arrived quickly, and (luckily the tension switch was the issue) repaired our dryer quickly. We are talking The Flash fast for appliance repair. Here's a timetable. 11:45am - Called and left a message of the issue. 12:04pm - Received a Text for Model # and Address. 12:45pm - Arrived to check everything out and make repair. 1:00pm - Finished, left, and didn't wake the baby! Nothing moves quickly in Florida, except this guy. I'm so impressed! He presented himself well and was friendly, for the 15 minutes he was here. I have a nice detailed slip of the repair and warranty too. If any appliance issues come up, I will definitely be calling Jeff "The Flash" at Affordable Appliance Service again. In fact, I'm going to be sure my friends who own homes have his info on hand.

We can't say enough about Jeff and his response time, professionalism and ability to diagnose the issue within seconds. We sent Jeff a message on the evening of 12/29/2014 explaining our dryer stopped working mid cycle and we had just returned home with our new baby. It's hard to believe how much laundry one little girl can create within less than a 24 hour period! He called the very next day and came out to our home in the morning - explained what it was and he had to get the part and would be back in the afternoon. True to his word he returned sometime around 3 PM and repaired the dryer. We have utilized his services in the past and will continue to do so. He definitely takes pride in what he does and his business.

Determine cause of problem and ordered part. All work was done quickly.

This is the second time we used Affordable Appliance Service.He comes out when he says he is going to.He seems to know what the problem is before he arrives just by your description of the problem.He ask for the make and model and the model number.Both times I used him he had the part with him so he fixes it in one trip.He is dependable and does his work for a fair price.

My washing machine would make banging sounds in the spin cycle. Also, the top of the top ring was frayed & shards of materials would be frayed off. He replaced the tub suspension & tub ring. It came with a 90-day warranty. My washer is less than 2 years old. I would recommend his service to anyone who needs there washing machine fixed.

Received prompt response from Jeff who was able to diagnose the problem by email. A repair price was quoted and part was ordered the same day. Repairs were done the following day - sooner than expected - and for a few dollars less than quoted. Jeff arrived when promised. Maybe one of the easiest repair experiences ever.

The LAST thing I expected was to come home and find what I thought was a quality, relatively new Whirlpool Gold refrigerator not doing its job. We rent from the nicest and most accommodating landlords in the world. They replaced the aging and crippled top-freezer model that came with the house in January 2011. It was considerate of them to purchase "Consumer Reports" best rated refrigerator at that time. We try to maintain the house as our own, and were delighted with the large capacity, bottom freezer and French doors when it arrived to replace the old one. We did not expect any problems for a long, long time, especially since we brought our older Whirlpool side-by-side, using it as a spare in the garage. It was purchased at least 15 years ago, and still going strong! But, I came home to find the lights on, the freezer working okay, but the main top compartment was barely cool. It was Wednesday, and I hoped I could get someone out before the weekend. Immediately checking Angie's under Appliance Repair, I was impressed with the more than one hundred, plus, top-rated reviews for Jeff Wilson at Affordable Appliance Service. I called and left a message expecting a return call soon. However, I had not heard from Mr. Wilson by 7pm that evening. I called again and left another message, adding that if I did not hear from him soon, I would presume he was not available or interested. Mr. Wilson called almost immediately. He was pleasant and business-like. He asked a number of analytical questions, including model number and type. He stated that he believed he knew the problem, and would call me back when he located a part. I presumed it would be that evening, but he did not call again until early the next morning. The GOOD news was that he would be arriving here in about an hour. True to his word, he was there about 10am; rang the doorbell; introduced himself and went directly to work. He wasted no time with trivial conversation, and worked diligently, explaining that there was a faulty "damper control" and the rear panel was frozen over and not allowing for defrost and cool air conduction to the top compartment. Also, the doors were slightly out of alignment and could stick partly open allowing warm damp air to contribute to the problem. He worked continuously, knowledgeably and professionally, knowing exactly what he was doing. He defrosted the ice, adjusted the doors and a little over an hour later, had the unit working well. He explained, however, that he had to pick up the replacement part and would have to double back to complete the job. He accepted no compensation at that time and promised he would return later in the afternoon. Again, true to his word, he was back by mid-afternoon and installed the new control part. He tested the system and made sure everything was working smoothly before presenting the bill and leaving. Mr. Wilson indicated there was a 90 day warranty on his work and urged me to call him if there were any further questions or problems. His charges seemed to be in line with other similar repairs. He was honest, polite and well-groomed. We chatted about the different makes of appliances, and Jeff seemed to really know the industry and the current appliance market. I would certainly trust Jeff, his opinions and worth ethics for future repairs and appliance purchases. I would most certainly call him back for any future needs.

I contacted him yesterday and made the appointment for today. He phoned first to get the model number of the appliance. He arrived on time, took a look and listen, and told me what the problem was and the cost to repair. I agreed to have him repair it and he had the replacement part with him. He told me he had been in the business long enough to be able to have a good guess on the problem. This transaction was a pleasure. I would recommend him to all my friends.

This is the 2nd time this year I have used Affordable Appliance Service since I was very pleased with my last repair (on my refrig). My 8 year old SS elec range stopped baking and broiling so I called and left a VM for Jeff and he called back later in the day. He knew exactly what the issue was based on my description of the problem. I provided him the make/model and he said he was able to get the part the next day and gave me an estimate over the phone. We scheduled a day/time for service and he came out and got the job done. On time, professional, reasonable. Very happy.

Jeff contacted me the same day I left a message for him. Off to a great start! He came out and looked at my washer, got the part and it was done in an hour! Not only that, my washer isn't the easiest thing to get to and everything was put back in place with NO mess. My mom's dishwasher went the next day and Jeff took care of that as well. I HIGHLY recommend him! Did I mention he was HUNDREDS less than I was quoted from LG?!?

Sent Jeff an email using Angie's list. He responded quickly and an appointment was set the next day. He figured out the problem quickly by checking the motor to find a small nail had fallen from the washer from pants that were washed having a few nails in the pocket. He fixed the problem and replaced a new belt.

This is the second time I've used this provider. My refrigerator stopped cooling and within 48 hours. evaluated the issue and replaced the faulty control. Excellent service from start to finish. Affordable Appliance was on time , friendly, and is a reliable service. I would use Affordable Appliance again and refer them to anyone who needs small and large appliance service.

All around, it was a fantastic experience. The service person did not repair the machine because it wasn't worth the money to fix it. For a bit more, we could buy a new and efficient unit. Good and honest suggestion. I recommend this company at 100%.

Rusty colored spots were showing up on clothing after being in the dryer. From the first contact to the completion of the repair job, the service from this company was excellent in every way. The owner, Jeff Wilson, was totally professional, honest, and very efficient. He provided an estimate covering the parts required and installation, which turned out to be exactly as presented. We were very pleased with all aspects of this appliance repair and will definitely use this company in the future.

My wife called Jeff first thing Monday morning after our washer stopped working over the weekend. He checked his schedule for the day and called back a bit later to schedule an appointment the same morning. He arrived on time, determined the problem and had us up and running in about an hour. Jeff was very professional and competent and we wouldn't hesitate to call him in the future.

Jeff did his usual great job. He arrived on-time, diagnosed the problem, went and got the necessary component to complete the repair, and finished the job the same afternoon. He was below the estimated cost by 40-50 dollars. We are very happy with his work and will use him again.

Per my wife excellent work in removing old dishwasher and installing new one. Reasonable price especially compared to what I would have had to pay if I booked through Hhgregg.

Called and left message. Needed refrigerator repaired. No return call.

Lots of good valid reasons why, but it went SLOWLY. Jeff's a really good guy and delays were caused by both Jeff and myself. His: AC and valid family-oriented things. Mine: Making sure I had the $$$ available when he came. Yes, I would recommend Jeff. He tries to work within your budget, and tries to do an excellent job.

Woke up this morning to a puddle on the floor and melting frozen foods. Freezer was not getting cold. Checked a couple of DIY things myself and then looked on Angie's list for a refrigerator repair company. Found Affordable Appliance Repair and, after reading a few reviews, I called and left a voicemail for Jeff. He called back a short time later and scheduled a service call for after lunch. He diagnosed the problem immediately and replaced the melted parts.
