AFFORDABLE APPLIANCE SERVICE

The dryer in the rental house we had just moved into wasn't working. I called Affordable Appliance Service and Jeff came over the next day. He arrived right on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. He replaced the belt and checked to make sure the dryer was working properly. It's been working fine ever since.

The dishwasher in our rental house was taking about 2 1/2 hours to complete the cycle, which was about and hour longer than it should have taken. Jeff from Affordable Appliance came out the day after we called and determined that the heating element of the dishwasher had burned out. He replaced it and now the dishwasher only takes a little over an hour to wash the dishes, just like the owner's manual says it should. This was the second time we hired Affordable Appliance and we were just as pleased this time as we were the first time. Jeff is our go-to appliance guy from now on!

Came out on Sunday and repaired our refrigerator that had completely stopped cooling. He was responsive and competent and had necessary parts and had it running in just a few minutes.

The repairman arrived within 20 minutes of my call, quickly saw the problem, fixed it and did some adjustments on his own that were very helpful. The machine sounds and works great! I would definately call him (Jeff) back and refer him to others.

The owner, Jeff, arrived very promptly on Saturday morning. He was able to show up earlier, but I asked for a later date. He diagnosed and fixed the problem withing 20 minutes and was on his way. He was professional in appearance and conduct, his prices seemed fair (although I didnt shop other companies because he is so close to my home) and my dryer works again. I would recommend him.

Jeff was a pleasure to deal with - very courteous and professional. The job went perfectly, except for one extra, unexpected part replacement. The extra part added about 15% to the repair cost, and about 1-1/2 weeks for the total repair time (while waiting for the part). Jeff did not request payment until the entire job was finished.

What can you say more about this company that hasn't already been said....PERFECT!! Only thing that would be better is for the refrigerator to have not needed to be repaired.

Jeff, the owner, diagnosed the problem: the key pad was bad. He could not get the parts for three weeks, but I could get it in two days. He worked with me in understanding what was wrong and how to fix it. I will call him again if I can't install the key pad (or screw it up)

Jeff was very professional. He did not ask for any money up front. We paid him after all the work was completed.

Jeff handled everything from the appointment to the service call efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism. He made sure to have the correct part before scheduling exact time, and got back to make the appointment very quickly. He arrived on time, performed the task well, left the area clean with everything back in it's place. Jeff is definitely the person we will call in the future with any appliance repairs that are needed. We'll also recommend him to others.

It took him about 30 seconds to diagnose the problem with the washer and he promptly installed the new parts - he was only in my home about 45 minutes. used Affordable Applicance Service to fix a broken dryer, and dishwasher in a rental unit. I contacted them because of their rating on Angie's List. After some miscommunication between Jeff and my renter, we were able to set a firm time. Jeff was prompt, did an excellent job, and was finished in record time. A few days later, we had a problem with out refrigerator at our home, and again summoned Jeff for the job. Very dependable and professional. Definitely will use again.

Came out to my home within two hours of my phone call. Promptly diagnosed and repaired the problem. After one week, we have yet to have any problems, so it would appear that the repair was done properly.

Called Jeff in the morning due to a malfunctioning microwave. He was able to come out later that day and even determined the problem was less than he originally quoted for, so I wound up spending less than half of what he first told me. The quality of their work was good. They fixed the problem. I still have a problem with that washer, so I am not sure if it is related to the original problem or if it is a new problem. He was very responsive. He was really quick. He had the part, and he just came out and did it the same day.

Without a doubt, the most professional, reasonably priced repairman I have ever encountered! I called and left a message about my appliance problems, he called back very shortly and an appt. was set up for the next day. He arrived on time (after calling to let me know he was on his way), was in my home for about 45 minutes- an hour. He got down to business immediately and spent quite a while defrosting my freezer and replacing the thermostat. It was repaired perfectly. He then turned his attention to my dishwasher, which has never cleaned well, but has gotten worse lately. After a brief, but thorough check of all working parts, he concluded it was a model with numerous problems and design flaws--he was familiar with it --there was nothing he could do to "fix" it, as it was not broken in any way--had to do with the arm not rotating well because of the uneven design of the top shelf-- I was not surprised, as other neighbors had the same problems (builder's model). He was honest, just charged me a very small amount for the time it took to check it out and did not waste my time and money on an unnecessary "repair". He told me he would try to find any suggestions online for tricks to get it to work better in light of the design flaws. Sure enough, he called back several days later to tell me he had attempted to find any hints on various technical websites he is familiar with and amongst other folks in the business, but couldn't find any. He said he would get back to me if he hears anything in the future that would help! He traveled a fair distance to get to my house, was inside for 45 min-hour, installed a part and did research online later, all for $117. Absolutely the best--could not recommend him more highly to anyone.

We have an 8 year old Whirlpool refrigerator that stopped cooling, both in the freezer and refrigerated compartments. We went to Whirlpool's website and were able to make an appointment for the next day with one of their warranty providers, AE Factory Service. The next day we called them at 8 a.m. to ask when they would arrive. We were told in the morning. Needless to say we kept calling for updates and they couldn't contact the repairman. Finally, by 1:00 pm we got tired of waiting and called Jeff at Affordable Appliances after finding him on Angie's List. Fortunately he was available and arrived in a half hour. He quickly identified the problem and replaced a faulty starter relay. He was polite, prompt, and professional. We had him look at our squealing dryer when he finished the refrigerator. He came back the next day with new rollers and now it's as quiet as can be. Although the refrigerator repair cost $156 it was still much cheaper than what we had heard that AE Factory Service would have charged. We read an article in the Orlando paper that said they had charged over $230 just to do a 15 min. repair on a refrigerator (they have a minimum charge of $200). So we were glad that their tardiness caused us to seek out Jeff at Affordable Appliance Service.

Our dishwasher wasn't drying dishes, and wasn't cleaning well. Jeff came as promised, right on time. He replaced the heater, and also cleaned out some pieces of food that were stuck in the tube. He gave me a lot of useful advice on which dishwashing soap to use, and how to remove mildew that was built up. Coincidentally the fuse broke during the first washing cycle. Jeff came back and replaced it, and also lubricated the hinges that were squeaking. He went above and beyond that any repair man would do. He stayed for awhile watching the cycle and making sure it works good. My dishwasher works great now. It cleans the dishes like it did when it was brand new (it's 8 years old). The dishes come out clean and shiny and dry, and it doesn't squeak any more.

I contacted Jeff by phone. He called me back asking for some additional info (Model, symptoms, etc) and he gave me an appointment for the next day. He was on time at the appointment, worked one hour, very professionnel, very clean and replaced the ventilator. The fridge now works just fine at a fraction of the cost of a new one. Of course it cannot be compared with a new one, but, nowadays, it is better to pay $140 and keep my old fridge for 4 more years than pay $500 for a brand new one.

Very courteous and professional service. Replacement part arrived sooner than expected. Microwave was returned to my house on a Saturday morning and was functioning well.

Jeff was very honest in advising us that it would be more cost effective to purchase a new washer verses fix the current one. He could have told me anything and I would have believed it but he was very honest. We will use him any time we need an appliance person. Wish he sold appliances! lol

It went well. He was helpful and polite. This refrigerator had formerly been in a garage and the rubber sealing gaskets were all mildewed and stained. He willingly gave me a price to replace those in addition to the above-described repair, but, as it seemed like quite a lot for the parts, he suggested that I try using soft scrub with bleach first. It worked like a charm, and like no other product I had tried to clean it before. Saved me nearly $200.

Jeff was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what he was looking for when he diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher. There was no guessing. When he came out the second time to install the disposal and replace the kitchen faucet, he was just as courteous and professional.

Jeff was prompt in returning my initial phone call and made arrangements that same day to come to my home and repair my washing machine. The appointment had been set for 3:30, which he was on time. After testing my machine (2-3 minutes) he told me what the problem was, what needed to be replaced and what the cost involved would be. I then asked if he had the part with him and he replied that he did. I authorized the repair at that time. Approximately 15-20 minutes later he had completed the repair and tested the machine. He always cleans up after himself and asks if I have any questions. When I replied that I didn't have any questions, he explained that the part used came with a one year warranty. After paying him he departed my residence.
