He was great. He took my entire fridge apart and found the problem. He fixed it.

Tech showed up on time, spent less then 30 min working on my dishwasher said the water was not turned on all the way and he cleaned a few things. He then handed me a bill for $70.00 bucks, not very affordable. I rated Affordable appliance a "C" in professional and quality because a company excelling in both wouldn't charge $70.00 for less then 30 min of work with no parts.

The technician was prompt and courteous. The technician even gave me tips on how to prolong the life of my new ice maker. I was very satisfied with the work performed although the price of the labor and the ice maker was a bit of a shock! I would recommend this company.

Jeff Wilson is the owner. The guy that came out did a great job. He was in and out. He was very quick. His price was reasonable. He was professional and very friendly. I would definitely use him again. I have a problem with the dishwasher so I’m going to call him back again.

He came out when he said he would, worked quickly. Ok but not great customer service and he did his job well. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

The repairman was very responsive to my call and able to be at my home when I wanted him to be there.

Jeff Wilson came out to take a look at the dishwasher. He installed a part that he brought with him (just in case). It turned out that that was not the problem. The entire control panel needed to be replaced. He came back the next day with a new control panel and installed it in a matter of minutes. The machine now works as good as new. We were very happy with his service. Jeff was very professional, neat, clean, and quick. If we have other appliance repairs to be done, we will call him again. We will also recommend him to any of our neighbors if they are in need of appliance repairs.

I called the phone number amd Jeff answered. He was very personable and sounded like he knew exactly what he was talking about. He asked a few questions and we set a date. He was on time and worked quickly and quietly. He explained the problem he found. It was opinion that it would be more expensive to fix the washer than to get a new one. I respected his advice. A really appreciated his promptness and that he got right to work. I prefer someone that works that way rather than someone very, very talkative. I would definitely have him back should I have another appliance problem and I definitely recommend him.

I arrived home with no cold air in the freezer. I called Jeff and described the condition and he came prepared with what he thought might be the bad part. He arrived about 3 hours after calling on the same day (as promised) and was in and out in 30 minutes. Great service and i would definitely call him again.

I went back and read every positive review here, and I don't see ANY similarity to the very negative experience we just had with this man. He left us with horrendous problems, much larger than the issue we called him to fix. He was not friendly or helpful as described, and I was uncomfortable with him in my home. On Sunday afternoon I noticed a small puddle of water coming from our washer while doing laundry. My husband investigated and realized that the seal/boot on the front of the washer was torn, and would need to be replaced. He got the part number from Whirlpool and I called this man with the info he would need, after reading all the glowing reports on Angie's List. I gave him the part number we needed and asked if he could get it locally, and quickly. He asked me to call back and leave the part number on his answering machine, which I did. By Monday at lunchtime I hadn't heard anything from him so I called to touch base. He said he had completely forgotten but would check on the price and availability right away. He did call back, said the price would be $180, and he could install it sometime that afternoon. I missed a call from him a few hours later by 20 minutes, but left a message on his answering machine, no response. I called later that afternoon around dinnertime to see if he was still coming, left a message, no response. My husband called him around 7 pm to see if/when he would be coming the following day - my birthday - left a message, no response. On Tuesday he called around 11 am and said he could be at our home around 2:30. He was about to hang up when I reminded him he needed my address. He did show up and spent 30 minutes replacing the seal on the washer. I paid him $192. He left and I ran a load of laundry. When I turned on the washer initially it became clear there was no water reaching it, so I had to turn on the main water valve. (I would have thought he would turned on the water to the unit to test it and make sure his fix worked before he left.) I watched the washer for 5 minutes or so to make sure it wasn't leaking anymore, and then got busy in another part of the house. Approximately 30 minutes later I returned to the front of the house and immediately noticed an inch of dirty, soapy water covering all the wood floors in the foyer by the front door and the hallway heading to the garage. The water had even penetrated the laundry room wall and was running thru the garage and down our driveway to the street. I immediately turned off the water to the washer and called him to find out when he could come back to fix our still-leaking washer. He said "tomorrow." I was speechless. He called back 15 or 20 minutes later and said I should check to make sure the drain hose for the washer was in the drain hole in the wall. I went and looked and there was no sign of a drain hose. He said maybe the hose popped out of the wall. I didn't spend much time talking with him as my main concern was getting the water off the wood floors as quickly as possible. (Our wood floors were custom-stained 15 years ago to match a wood staircase in our home, so replacing any damaged boards is not as simple as going to Home Depot.) My husband came home from work early, we changed our plans for my birthday dinner that evening, and we mopped water and set up 4 industrial fans to try to dry out the floors and the laundry room walls. We dragged our soaking throw rugs and carpet pads to the driveway to dry in the sun, but have since had to throw them away, as the water left them smelly and dirty. 48 hours later we are still running the 4 fans and cannot yet tell the extent of the damage to our wood floors. My husband was able to find the drain hose and put it back in the wall and we have since been able to wash multiple loads of wet towels and material used to clean up that day. This man called the following day mid-afternoon to see if I still wanted him to come back out to look at my washer. I politely declined and explained the concerns I had about paying him $192 to "fix" a washer that then dumped gallons of dirty water thruout the front of my house. I explained that if he had taken a SECOND to check the drain hose before he left he could have saved all of us considerable time/energy/money. His response was that he would "keep his fingers crossed it would work out" for us.

Overall, I was extremely pleased. For the washer repair it looked like a whole new drum was needed as he thought a support that was part of the drum unit was broken. When he got my machine disassembled he discovered that the drum was fine and the screws were all just loose and everything needed tightening. Many repair shops would have replaced the drum just to make money (the bill was 1/4 what it was going to be if the drum had been done) - this one made the repair necessary and returned the new drum to the supplier. As for the dishwasher, the fixes were minor and I got a good lesson on what to look for when I purchase a new dishwasher if mine ever does really break. He also tipped me off on a possible problem with my water heater so I could address it with the plumber that installed it before the warranty expired.

I called early on a Wednesday morning and described the problems with my two appliances. He said he'd do a bit of research and call me back.I received a call back about an hour later. For the refrigerator, the problem was a known issue and he had the part to fix it. For the dryer, he said it could be one of three things and he gave me the possibilities, the price for each and said he had the parts. I said fine and he thought he could maybe make it the same day or the next day and would call me later. Shortly after noon he called and said he could make it the same day. He arrived on time, got right to work, found that the refrigerator was what he thought, and the dryer was as he suspected, and the least expensive choice to. He fixed them promptly and was on his way. a great experience overall. I'd have him back again in a flash!

Mr. Smith was knowledgeable and willing to share information with us. After the washing machine episode, during which the manufacturing company was not nearly as service oriented as we think it should have been, Mr. Smith was able to suggest some things that helped us. We were so pleased with his integrity and professionalism, that when the garbage disposal broke, we called him immediately, and it was all fixed, no muss, no fuss, within 36 hours. We feel we can trust him to do the necessary repairs, to leave the site clean, and to charge fairly. When the water heater decides to retire, we will be calling him about that, too!

Repairman came out very quickly, acted professionally, did quality work, and was reasonbly priced. He did not fix anything that didnt need fixing, and when he left my problem was solved.

Great! No problem making an appointment, he was on time and didn't just look and run. He spent time making sure there was no problem before he moved on!

My wife called Jeff at 8am. He was in the area and came right over. Jeff had the replacement parts on his truck. He installed the new parts and finished within thirty minutes. Jeff was professional, pleasant and efficient.

I renewed my Angies List membership the night before, the next day I got on the computer looking for a refrigerator repairman that wasn't going to rip me off, found one with an honors star and called him, left a message and got a call back in about 20 minutes. I told him the address and he was there at the house in about 30 minutes the frig. was repaired...................never had such fast service ever!!!

The experience went just perfect. He looked at it and ordered a part for me. He was courteous and kind. He did the job correctly. Everything worked out great! He was on time and budget. He did a great job and didn't have to come back because the part failed. It worked the first time he came out.

They came out at night, which was good. The price was very good and the work was good. The guy was very professional and did the work as I wanted it. I will use them again in the future if I needed to.

Called Jeff and explained that our 15-year-old Jenn-Air oven wouldn't get up to the right temperature and beeped after displaying some mysterious problem code. He came by to assess the problem not too long after, figured out it was a busted control panel and ordered the part to replace about a week later. Unfortunately, the company mislabeled the part they sent him and, after a few calls, he found they no longer made new control panels for our particular oven. They did offer to refurbish the one we had, though. Jeff took care of sending our panel to the manufacturer and about 2 weeks later he came by again to install the refurbished panel. Unfortunately, this time he found that the touch pad on our oven was also contributing to the problem, and so he had to order a new one and come back AGAIN. The fourth try was a charm, and our oven roared back to life. I was more than impressed with his knowledge, efficiency and the fact that he was pleasant to work with. I would absolutely recommend him and will be calling him again should any other appliance need repair.

Icemaker broke. Called Jeff and he was very quick to answer and set up an appointment. The part that was broken wasn't in stock, but Jeff came back on the day he promised with the replacement part and repaired the icemaker quickly. Would definitely recommend him.

Our refrigerator quit cooling on a Friday night. We called for a repair early Saturday morning. Jeff returned my call within and hour - it was opening day of baseball season and he is the commissioner, so he had to interrupt his day to do this. He came within an hour and a half of calling me back and had the refrigerator fixed within one hour. I am keeping his card to use in the future and I will be more than happy to recommend him to others.

I was amazed on how fast Jeff fixed it. I called him first thing in the morning, and he came within 30 min, and right away knew what was wrong. He called to make sure the part was in stock. One hour later he came back with the part and fixed it within 20 min! This is the 2nd time we used Affordable Appliance repair, and again, it was a great experience.

It went fine, no need for a lot of narrative. Work was performed in a capable/professional manner.
