He had the part when he came and made the repair. It was a good service.

We decided that it would cost a lot more to replace the dishwasher at this time and decided to replace the motor. He is very prompt and comes when expected. He's a nice, pleasant, honest and very professional person. He even checked out our air conditioning unit and said it was running well, except for the fact that it's over 15 years old.

My washing machine had stopped rinsing,washing,spinning. When I called about service he told me he could be there in 30 minutes. He was there within the time frame, he diagnosised the problem, and fixed it in 20 minutes and he gave me an estimate before he started the work. Very professional,and knew what he was doing. I would use him again.

I found him on Angie’s List and he came out right away which might have been because he was not busy. He was very good and very helpful. The quality of his work was very nice. He did not charge me for the filter he had replaced.

I called Jeff at Affordable Appliance Repair today - a Sunday - and left a message late morning. He called me back within 10 minutes. I explained the issue (my washing machine stopped working mid cycle, half full of water and clothes). I gave him the model name and number, and he was on his way home and said he'd look up some specs and call me back. He called back within an hour, and was out to my home within 30 minutes after that. His service call fee was $60, and he didn't charge more because it was a weekend/Sunday. He diagnosed the problem within just a couple of minutes (looks like some fabric softener or soap or something somehow oozed onto the power supply inside the machine). He replaced a couple of small parts and the machine was fixed within 10 minutes or so. Total charge was $85, and from initial phone call to fixed machine was less than 2 hours. I'm very happy with the service I received from Affordable Appliance Repair, and will use them again for appliance repair needs.

He found the problem, ordered and installed the new part very quickly. He returned my call quickly, came out to the house when he said he would (very responsive), kept in touch with us about status our part order, and was professional and nice. Price was very reasonable. Only thing I wasn't happy with was that he didn't notice that part of the latch on the door wasn't installed on the new part (needed to be taken off the old door front and screwed into new front-the part you grab when you open the door). We had to do this ourselves after he left, it only took a minute and my husband hadn't noticed it either (you couldn't see it was missing, I could just tell it felt different). Would use him again and recommend him.

Jeff got back to me on the phone very quick initially. When I explained what was going on with our dishwasher he knew exactly what was wrong and ordered the part before even coming to our home. When he arrived at our home he was very professional and fixed the dishwasher very quickly. I highly recommend his services The overall experience was great! They did ship him the wrong part initially, but it wasn't his fault. The correct part number he ordered was on the box, but the parts inside the already opened box were incorrect. He re-ordered the parts and came out the next day. I highly recommend Jeff and will certainly use him in the future!

I left a message wanting to schedule a service call and never heard back from anyone!

I contacted Jeff Wilson, the owner of Affordable Appliance Service on June 25th, 2012. I explained to him that my dishwasher had started to make a loud noise upon start-up. After relaying to him the make and model number, he scheduled an appointment for the following morning. Jeff showed promptly at the time agreed upon and after examining my dishwasher, explained that the pump had gone bad and would need to be replaced. He quoted the total cost plus taxes, which I agreed upon. He had also explained that he had called the parts store to confirm that they had the pump in stock. He then left and returned shortly with the new replacement pump. Within 15-20 minutes, he had replaced the pump, placed the dishwasher back in place, cleaned up around him and lastly, returned my large throw-rug back in its original position. I have used Jeff in the past to repair my washer and dryer; I have always been extremely satisfied with his work.

Overall, very pleased with Affordable Appliance. One phone call didn't get returned promptly, but he readily apologized for that.

Jeff carefully put our washer through a wash cycle to determine the extent of repair needed. He concluded that the washer needed major repair. He recommended "No repair suggested"

I found them on Angie's List. We had trouble connecting with them but part of that was my fault. They did the job and I will use them again in the future.

I called Jeff and left a message. He returned my call promptly and we set up an appointment. Once parts arrived, he came promptly and executed the repairs quickly. I am totally satisfied.

My refrigerator stopped cooling sometime Saturday morning. After looking it over for something obvious, we called Saturday afternoon to have it serviced and left a message. After about 1 hour or so, I again called and left a message and still got no reply. On Sunday I called again and still got a recording but did not leave a message. On Monday morning I left another message at about 7:45. After about 1/2 hour I called another company which came out, and repaired my fridge and was gone by 9:30 am. and I went to work.. Later that day my wife came home and called me at work to say that a message was on the answering machine that the repairman was out of town over the weekend. (That would have been nice to know on Saturday, I would have called someone else Saturday instead of waiting.) I waited because the hours listed appeared to indicated that calls were handled on Sat and Sun which few places do. With all the glowing reports for this company, I wanted to use them, unfortunately a lack of attention to detail has me concerned about using this company. You might ask what would have improved the situation.1) If the answering machine that took my message had simply had a message that no one was available for repairs that weekend until Monday, I wouldn't have waited to call someone else. 2) I was confused about the business hours since the Monday- Friday hours listed 7:30am- 7:30am and the Sat and Sun hours listed 7:30pm -7:30pm, I can only assume the hours are supposed to be 7:30am -7:30pmThis is a direct copy of the hours from the listing on Angie's list.Mon 07.30 AM - 07.30 AM, Tue 07.30 AM - 07.30 AM, Wed 07.30 AM - 07.30 AM, Thu 07.30 AM - 07.30 AM, Fri 07.30 AM - 07.30 AM, Sat 07.30 PM - 07.30 PM, Sun 07.30 PM - 07.30 PM, By Appointment My grade on this report is a C only because I got a return phone call; although I would have expected contact sooner than Monday at 1:30 pm after I left 3 messages.

About a thousand times better experience than some others in that business!

Every time I opened the microwave the fan started to run and it was a little scary so I called him. He walked me through some things over the phone told me to unplug it in the meantime and he came over the same day. He came out and we weren't able to recreate the problem that I was having so he made a few adjustments and told me that he wasn't sure if it had fixed the problem, but to call him if the problem occurs again. It started to do the same thing again at a later date so I called him like he told me to. He came out the same day and fixed the problem and it has been fine ever since. He was very responsive to my needs.

Jeff was very punctual, thorough, and pleasant. When he tested the dishwasher it wouldn't fill with water, which was a new issue as far as I knew. He took everything apart and examined it thoroughly for problems and when he reassembled it, it filled with water and has been working fine since then. So it was sort of a mystery problem, but whatever he did fixed it, and I will definitely use him in the future.

I had used him in the past and was very satisifed, so I called in the evening and he quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone, explaining what it most likely was, what it coudl be and about what it would cost. He showed up early the next day, on time, and quickly repaired it. Not a cheap part, but now it cools properly. I was happy with the prompt service.

Just before Christmas day, our Kitchen Aide washer would fill and wash, and refill to rinse but the agitator wouldn't agitate during the rise cycle. I worked the mechanical cycle dial and found other cycles working, and the motor seem to be working fine. I called Affordable Appliance Service and spoke to Jeff Wilson. I described in detail what the washer was doing and not doing. He gave me a price for replacing the mechanical cycle mechanism and for replacing the motor (just in case the motor was the problem.) His prices seemed reasonable so I agreed to a $60 service call which would be deducted from the repair cost. Jeff arrived on time, ran the washer through some tests and concluded the mechanical cycle mechanism was the problem. He said he'd order the part right away, but because of the Christmas holiday, it would probably take several days to arrive. To my surprise, THE NEXT DAY, Jeff called, saying he had piggy-backed my cycle mechanism on an overnight rush order for another customer, and that he'd like to schedule a service call to install it. Excellent! Later that day, while installing the mechanism and then testing the washer, he noticed the top of the agitator wasn't turning properly. Simple fix with some new agitator dogs (to engage the cam in the agitator) for a nominal price. Done. I'm happy. The wife is really happy. We'll call Affordable Appliance Service again.

Jeff called the next day after my phonemail message requesting service and appeared that afternoon. He thoroughly checked out the dishwasher but could not find a reason for a leak or recreate the leak. He also worked on my microwave and got it running perfectly. I was very happy with the charge received for his work. On 4/5 I left Jeff a message that my dishwasher was leaking again and this time I had taken video with my phone so he could see what was occurring. Jeff came out the next day and it turns out certain automatic dishwashing soaps can either be too sudsy or go bad and overwhelm a dishwasher. He recommended several brands to use instead and cleaned out the oversuds. I asked what would be the charge for this visit and he said "No charge, Happy Easter!" Jeff is wonderful and very knowledgeable plus his charges are exactly as described in the company name.... "Affordable...." Denice

It turns out that there’s a known issue with this refrigerator design. Jeff resolved the issue and made a modification to prevent the defrost line from freezing up in the future. He’s knowledgeable about his work and did a quality repair.

This is the second time that Affordable Appliance has done work for us. Once again, an excellent job! Professional and fast! Will use again and again!

Jeff was efficient and courteous. I contacted him by phone and he ordered the appropriate parts. 3days later he came and repaired the oven door approximate time 90 minutes. He also reattached a spinner on my dish washer and replaced 2 oven lights for FREE! It was a great experience would definitely use AFFORDABLE APPLIANCE SERVICE again.

It went very well. He was punctual, very quick, and very professional. He'd also replaced a computer board in our fridge last year and we were impressed with his service, price, punctuality, and professionalism. I'd definitely recommend him.
