Very well. Wife loved it.

I found A and R easy to work with. We wanted to re-do the patio area and they made it quick and easy. Our very small back patio needed a facelift and a privacy fence installed. This company knows Florida and so the patio will now drain properly when it during downpours and the landscaping (plants) they installed are perfect for the area. This is the first company I have worked with in many years that did what they said they would do and the results were exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend them.

The experience turned out well. They were excellent, did a good job and cleaned up well afterwards. I was very happy with their service and it was not the first time I used them.

The owner came out and gave us an estimate for renovating the landscaping previously done in our pool area. He estimated his crew would be back in approximately two weeks to do the work. They called the day before coming and as always did a great job. The area needed weeding, trimming and replacement of some plants. One small section needed new sod. All the work was done well and the cost came in lower than the estimate given. We also were having some problems with our front landscape lighting. The crew found several wires that had been accidently cut by our regular lawn maintenance company. This was repaired and the lights were functioning again. Overall a good experience. I would recommend A and R Landscaping to anyone who wants an above average landscape design and quality work done on their yard.

Work he did years ago stands the test of time. We turn to him for patio building, exterior lighting, landscape installation and more. He is not the fastest guy to call back, but he does in a day or two and don't let that stop you from working with him, he is worth the wait.

They have not done any work yet. They are great people. They are very professional. They have a wonderful response to time. They are great people to talk to. They came out right away and gave us the bid to landscape our whole backyard and scheduled us for July 8th to have the work done. They are very busy. My experience with them was great. We are going to do our front yard next year and for that we are going to call them again.

We used them twice. We loved the design and construction the first time but the customer service and responsiveness to calls and emails was horrible. When we needed more work done we gave them another chance but the customer service was still bad and they didn't finish the work properly that time.

I did not go forward with the project because of timing of personal finances ( college, new car, etc.). But, I can say that the experience was very positive. The plan was great, and the selection of plant material was exactly what I asked for. I hope to move forward with this project in the near future.

We split this massive project into two projects with the front yard being completed in late 2011 and the backyard being completed in 2nd quarter 2012. the backyard project was on a deadline as we were throwing a huge 21st birthday bash for my daughter on May 26th. Andy sat down with me and discussed what I wanted and drew up plans based on those discussions. He gave me exactly what I had in mind, made requested revisions and even replaced some plants that just didn't seem to work in the space as originally planned. The workers came on schedule and worked into the evening hours to get this project done on time. Of course, as with any large project, we hit some road bumps along the way. The pool re-surfacing contractor made some mistakes that took a few weeks to correct, but they came back for days and even on weekends to correct the problem. We also ran into some delays with obtaining the fencing materials, but Andy made sure to make up the time once they were received and the yard was completed a week before the party. I loved working with Andy! He is very easy to talk to and easy to work with. Any issue that we noticed was addressed. His workers were meticulous, polite and very neat. They cleaned up every day before they left. Andy took the vision for my yard that was in my head and created it before my very eyes. My backyard looks like a beautiful park and we have been enjoying it tremendously.

He really did a great job. They have a real expertise at stone work. I would highly recommend him.

Haven't had the work done yet.

After playing a bit of phone tag we arranged a time on a Tuesday to meet and go over the job. Once he arrived and I described the job to him he asked very few questions, told me it was a simple job, took my email address and indicated I would have an estimate by the weekend which I considered to be a long time to wait for a simple estimate as my other two estimates were provided to me within 24 hours. No estimate was provided so I made a choice between the other two companies. I am disappointed with the lack of follow through as the reason I chose A and R was the high quality reviews that were received here on Angies List.

Andy came out twice to give a quote and then a drawing of the project. They were priced right in the middle and we liked their quality of work from looking at their website. Once we signed for the job, they started about 2 weeks later. It took them about a week and a half to complete the job. All the workers were friendly and polite. They did a great job. We have no complaints.

Andy has completed several weeks-long projects at our home over the past several years and he is the best! We had a drab, contractor-grade lanai which he redesigned 4 years ago into a beautiful outdoor living space. Since then, we have gradually added to the backyard and lanai area with several additional projects. Most recently, he refurbished our fountain and added planters and a pergola. His design ideas and creativity are absolutely incredible and his commitment to doing a quality job is evident in every finished product. His crew is as committed as he is and they are eager to satisfy the customer. They did anything I asked and made any modifications I needed. The only negative is that, like many good contractors, he is very busy and sometimes it is hard to get on his schedule and stay there. I don't mind waiting my turn because he is worth it. But it almost makes me wish I could keep his great service my little secret!

It went well overall, there were some issues (they broke an irrigation pipe) but they did come back to repair it. There was a delay in follow up, it could have been better.

Everything looks beautiful. We love it. The owner was very pleasant but he was hard to reach. He is an extremely busy guy and the responsiveness isn't the best but the quality is good. The workers were great. They were really nice. We would use them again in the future if needed.

I was very pleased by there work, they were a little jammed for time as they worked until dark the last day, it was a two day project but it all turned out well. The landscaping has been in for two and a half months now and the grass looks good and all the plants are doing very well. The back yard is as pleasing as I hoped it would be. Andy gave me a design which is attractive and easy to care for, his crew were hard working and cleaned up nicely after they were done.

Not available to do work when needed.

I called them for an estimate on sod replacement and installing a small patio and set a time. The man who came called me to see if I could make it an hour earlier and I agreed. He asked few questions and took few notes. He told me he would be taking some measurements and working on the estimate in his car. The next thing I knew he was gone, left without giving me an estimate, saying when I could expect one or giving me even a business card. 2 days later I called the main number and asked where my estimate was, I received a message on my phone that it would be sent via email and I got it 2 days later. It was extremely expensive and overpriced. The other companies came in $3000.00 or more less expensive than Aand R. I don't recommend, unprofessional. I did not feel that they were even remotely interested in doing business with me.

We loved the experience. Andy and his team were wonderful. A project this size will have surprises along the way, and every time -- Andy had a solution. Best of all, he did not jack up the price when he found a problem. Our experience was when we hired A and R, we bought so much more than plants and mulch. Their design is expert level. Their plants exceeded our expectations. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They were very polite and trustworthy. We could not be happier with the outcome. A and R transformed a very ugly yard into one that is so beautiful that people stop and take pictures, and the experience was very fun.

Andy (owner) and David (his son) were reliable, prompt and - best of all - there were no surprises. Andy came out for the initial visit and provided a professional drawing of his suggestions for our project. We had a couple items that were important to us - a palm tree and a couple Birds of Paradise - and left the rest to Andy's expertise. All plants used are "Florida friendly" so we should not have to worry about being overly protective with watering or weather. The finished product is just what we wanted and the comments from neighbors have all been very positive. We are very pleased with Aand R and would recommend them highly. They were affordable, friendly, responsive, prompt and honest.

Andy was great to work with. We needed a complete back yard makeover. Andy met with us a few days after our first phone call. He spent an hour walking through the yard, listening to our ideas, and taking photos and dimensions of the site. We met again 2 weeks later where he presented the design and a detailed estimate. We revised the design to a paired down budget and selected pavers over the next few weeks. Once the new design and materials were agreed to it only took a few days before he was ready to install. The team worked fast and did a fantastic job. we were so happy with the results. we can't wait until we can call andy and start phase two in the front yard. The only downside is sometimes it takes Andy a few days to return a call, but otherwise no complaints

It went great. Andy, the owner, came out to take pictures and get our input on the design. After that he took a week or so to design the plan and scheduled an appointment to review the results with us. He was very patient and made whatever changes we need made. The job itself went phenomenal. The crew was all nice to talk to and did a great job in all aspects. They even helped with items that weren't related to their work in other parts of the yard. They spent a lot of time making sure the paver patio grading was good to run off away from the house. Everything looks better than we expected. Will definitely look at for future jobs at our house.

A and R Landscaping and Lighting came on time, cleaned up and finished right when they were supposed to. They really went above and beyond! Their professional crew was kind and courteous. They even blew the dirt off the driveway. They did a perfect job.
