Sparkling Kleen Pools & Spas

Sparkling Kleen was recommended by our neighbors, and they had been recommended by their friends, so that was two personal recommendations. We needed a spa leak fixed, and wanted the pool area paved with pavers over the concrete. We had been told by a leak detection company that it was not going to be an easy fix and that we would need a pool remodeling company. Since the spa would have to be broken into in order to find and repair the leak, we decided to have it and the pool resurfaced as well. Mike gives an extremely professional proposal. He is a structural engineer, so we had faith in his recommendations. Julie, in the showroom, was very helpful in picking out pavers, and pool resurfacing options. The majority of the work was done while we were out of town. Three weeks later, we are loving our new pool and patio SO much! All that remains to be done is sealing of the pavers, for which 30-60 days needs to be allowed for the bricks to cure.

Horrible experience - will never use this guy again. Problems from start to finish. Mike, the owner, measured my pool deck area for pavers. Miraculously, when I accepted the bid he came out to measure again and the space/bid increased! Unfortunately I went ahead and paid a deposit with my cc. Despite the two measurements, Mike ordered an insufficient number of pavers. His crew arrived late, seemed unorganized, and had difficulty with English. They worked without any safety equipment at all, despite using concrete saws. We couldn't watch - we waited for an accident to happen. The work took days longer than was quoted. The "clean up" guy arrived late and was in a hurry, and therefore didn't do a good job. Consequently the concrete dust he was supposed to clean with a pressure washer was now a thin layer of concrete on my pool cage screen, and ruined my lower privacy screens. It took them days to come back to fix. My final payment was supposed to occur AFTER all work was finished, however, they billed my cc - without my permission - long before the work was done. Again, the owner's measurements resulted in an insufficient number of pavers being delivered, the crew showed late, work took days longer than promised, clean-up was almost non-existent, etc., etc. etc.

From the first meeting the Mike Yohann, who showed up on time, and well prepared, I knew we wanted to use this compnay. We got two other quotes and knew that the price was fair. It was about 8 months after that meeting before we were ready to proceed. They honored the original quote and put us on the schedule for a start date two weeks out (consistent to what we had been told). The communication with the office was great, when they were coming, what they were doing etc. The teams were professional and left no mess. The items that we requested be fixed outside of the original quote, were quoted in writing (a good price for these items as they were able to complete while they were already on site), and the repairs and processes explained. The job was completed on time, on budget and we are very happy with the results. The service after the resurfacing was completed was thorough, the staff friendly and knowledgeable and responsive to any questions we had. I would not hesitate to recommend Sparkling Kleen, and will use them again when we need this type of service.

Excellent work. Project came in on budget and on time. Everything that the contractor promised was delivered meeting my expectations. The installers performed a careful job laying and aligning the paver bricks. All inquiries were answered promptly, professionally, and courteously. Follow up was excellent. The contractors did not damage any property structures around the job site and cleaned up the work site and hauled away the rubbish.

The money for the estimate will be applied to the repairs that I need done, I just have not started this project yet. Everything went fine, he was out for about a 1/2 hour and told me what needed to be done. He did address what I needed him to address when he was out.

They were fabulous, knowledgeable and did a great job. I was not there, but our renters were there and they said they were wonderful. Their pricing was excellent. It was a very good experience.

The actual replacement went well. After the company does it, then they take control of the pool for two weeks to get the chemicals correct and to get the structure running properly. So I was not real happy with the pool guy and with the service that they have after they’ve replaced it. I never knew when they were going to come. They came, but I was waiting around at 9 and it was not like I wanted to be home, but I wanted to be here. They would say they were coming at 9 a.m., but then it would be 1p.m. They came and did a good job, but I never really knew when they were showing up.

Met with Mike and was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Price was very competitive, and Mike said that total 'build time' would be about two weeks. I've seen a few pool rebuilds that took a month or more... one or two workers would show up at the site periodically, my pool was originally constructed that way. Be prepared to make a myriad of decisions about tile colors, paver styles, grout, general pool design... on and on. I spent hours at the store with Julie who also visited my home to help with decisions. Julie is a gem and put up with my numerous visits to bring home new tile and paver samples. Bottom line first - My wife had tears in her eyes. Our pool and lanai look like 'Lifestyles of The Rich And Famous'. The quality and workmanship is first rate. Our house "wraps around" the pool area so the view from every room and the front entrance has become dramatic. The renovations changed our home! Some details: Crew #1 showed up at 7:30am. (Julie had notified me the day before that they were coming). They worked very hard. They were also perfectionists. The four man crew removed the old tiles, put in new bull nose pavers at pool edge and completely re-tiled the entire pool. I spent quite a bit of time with them... occasionally answering questions, and watching as my pool was transformed. They were meticulous and also took pride in the work they did. Occasionally joking with each other, but always working hard. Respectful, likeable, hard working, and very good at what they did. Crew #2 appeared several days later, again as per Julie's call the day before. 7:30am again. Their job was to resurface the plaster. The six man crew moved fast to keep the plaster flowing. Apparently, getting the plaster onto the pool walls is critical and time sensitive. They were all business until my entire pool was covered with the new plaster. After the plaster had been applied, three of them worked especially hard to smooth down the texture and make it perfect. This was serious work as it would affect the look of the pool for a decade or more. I had a couple of mosaics implanted, they were meticulous with the placement. (I think they 'make' the pool.) I chose a texture that would make the water look slightly more blue than it was before the rebuild. I could not be happier with the new water color. About the crew - respectful, hard working, a joy to have at the house. Crew #3. This was the paver crew. I was unsure about going with pavers...It turns out the pavers look amazing and complete the lanai. It would have been a mistake to go with anything else, and on Mike's advice I went with them. We couldn't be more pleased. I had a couple of issues with the drain when the paver crew had finished. Mike told me not to worry and that he would send someone out to make it right. A few days later another four man crew arrived. These guys were special. Professional, respectful, hard working, likeable... They listened to my requests and then did more! My deck is breathtaking. Thank you Mike, Julie, Chris, Helio and everyone else who helped make my pool special!

I was pleasantly surprised when Mike came out so quickly to price this job. He told me I'd probably have to wait 7-10 days to actually have the work done, but they actually arrived the next morning to do the job. I chose this company because they had already done a previous job for me installing brick pavers on my pool deck. I think they were very reasonable, did great work and were very responsive. Obviously I like them since this was the 2nd job they did for me.

They did good. The staff that came out was awesome.

Mike and his team were very responsive and transferred the area into our dream place. Would use again.

Did a good job overall. Was told repair person would be here PM of a certain day. He didn't show and I didn't get a call. Before I could call next AM, he showed up and did repair.

It went exactly as Mike (the owner) told us to expect.!! One of the questions I first asked Mike when we first met was if he used contractors or had his own crew. and if he had Liability Insurance. He not only showed me his Liability Insurance, but also a copy of his BBB membership and the names and addresses and phone numbers of previous customers. Mike told us how each set of his crew would come in and work and that it would take approximately4 days to finish the work (it did) and then we could start filling the pool and approximately how long it would take to fill and to what level we should first put the water in. He also told us that we should not put any chemicals in the pool as one of his men would come out once a week until the pool was at the right level. We were very impressed with this company. Also, if we needed to get a hold of him right away, he gave us his card with his cell numbe on it. Also, Julie, who is his office assistant can answer almost anything you had a question on. She is a real JEWEL!!!!

We contacted Sparkling Kleen as we wanted to have our pool re-tiled due to a few tiles that were loose. Mike came out & talked to us as to what they would do. Once the work was started, we had some unexpected news in regards to the pool needing to be re-plastered or if we didn't want to do that, they could have installed a different tile that would have worked after they fixed a good sized crack in the original plaster. We went with re-plastering and now it looks like a brand new pool with a great looking upper deck. We hope to eventually install pavers throughout the entire lanai area.

Mike and his crew were very responsive. They were prompt and efficient. They listened to our concerns and addressed them. The design work was outstanding. The job was well done and completed quickly. They explained everything thoroughly. We enjoyed the help we received, not just from any one person. The entire crew was nice and interested in making us happy. We are glad that we chose this company. A great job at a competitive price.

The initial proposal was completed by Mike. He listened to what we wanted to have done, provided exceptional advice, and was able to give us a timely quote the same day. We received another quote, which was slightly more. Before deciding on which contractor to go with, we visited their home offices/design centers, and reviewed past projects. The ladies at the office were very helpful with product and color selection. Besides having a great eye for color coordination, they were patient, not pushy. We eventually selected Sparking Kleen based on price, knowledge, review of past projects, and because they used Flagstone pavers for the pool deck. We were provided a detailed schedule for the various phases of the project. The schedule was interrupted due to a significant tropical storm that hit Fl right after we started the demo portion of the pool resurfacing. Each phase involved a different, specialized team, all of which were exceptionally professional. The finished product was absolutely outstanding, exceeding our expectations! We've moved around a lot, and have had 5 pools over the years; 3 new pools, and 2 resurfacing/deck projects. By far, the work done by Sparkling Kleen Pools was the best. I would highly recommend them for anyone in the Sarasota area.

It all went very smoothly. Mike was extremely knowledgable about the whole process and what would happen. It took longer than I expected it would, but everyone who came to the house knew what they were supposed to do and did it professionally. I was VERY pleased. I love the pavers and have already gotten complements on them. Whenever I called the office with questions, they were pleasant and got right back to me.

After some problems with the office everthing went well. The people they sent out were very prof. The last man was the best. He made sure we were happy and the pool done rite and leak free.

They were very professional and had integrity. Their proposal was very complete and accurate.

It was the worst experience I've ever had with a vendor. I let them know how I felt. He called and left a long message on my machine and made up stuff that never happened. He never apologized. He first said he would show up on Tuesday, and then he said Wednesday, then Thursday. Finally on Friday I called and left a message. He called back on Tuesday and said we were unreasonable and he had tried. He then asked what work they were supposed to do; he played stupid. We had already given him a check for $400 for servicing the pool. Now we wanted him to come back to take care of it because there was an evident leak in the pool. We kept filling it up and the water would go down. We were having an open house because our house was up for sale and we had told him. He had already gotten all his money so he didn't care anymore. I had questioned his integrity prior to that. The first two guys he sent were good and we were happy with them. We had told him that the pool light didn't work. The first two guys said there was nothing wrong with it and they showed us where the switch was. The second day one of his other guys that came obviously didn't get the information because he pulled the whole light out and said that it didn't work and it would need to be replaced at a cost of about $300.

I like everything about them and I am very pleased with them.

They did everything they said they were going to do. They provided the proposal on a timely basis and when I agreed to their proposal, they delivered on everything they said they would. They were pretty knowledgeable. I would use them again in the future. They were excellent overall.

Showed up as promised and did a great job. Impressed by responsiveness and apparent quality of work.

They responded quickly to give an estimate. Estimate was given same day on site. Work was done the following week. From start to finish work took four days. Everything was up-front, workers were professional, and supervisor follow-up continued until pool Ph was stabilized. I highly recommed their service.

Aside from some timming problems at the start[rain the week befor]the people they sent out were very pro like and did their job. They stripped and preped the pool on time even though they got a late start.They cleaned up the mess after before resurfacing. Next the tile and acc. were put in.They started early the next day resurfacing .Had some problems with office people but the people they sent out made up for them.The crews that work for them have been with them for years. They are nice clean & quite. The finish man [I can't remember his name] is the best at what he does. He makes shure everthing was done rite & answers all of your questions. He [we]had a leak that wouldn't go away but he found &fixed it[the leak was in the light cavity not in anything they had done] Overall they did a very good job,came in under est. &on time even after some add ons.
