Had solar system installed started having two of the 32 panels not making energy. Called the few weeks ago to check them out they moved two of the panels around to see if that was the problem did not fix it. Company does not keep the costumers updated on what they are doing to fix the problem. Would not recommend this company to anyone else.

Wayne’s Solar blew away the competition on price and EVERYONE I dealt with there was super. They did an excellent job and the technicians who came to my house went above and beyond the scope of their work. First pointing out an unrelated issue on my roof and then helping diagnose a problem with my pool's plumbing where the pump kept losing it’s prime. I’d like to thank Skip who organized everything, Chris S. the tech who went above and beyond and Corin for being helpful and friendly whenever I called the office. I used another solar company in the past but I definitely won’t in the future!

Awful. We called to get an appt for an estimate to fix our panel leak. Our kids were coming home from college so we had 3 weeks to get it fixed before the visit. They told us they were booked solid and they would keep us in mind and call us to schedule when a service appt came up. Naturally I called another company that showed up 2 days later and fixed the problem. Weeks later I get a bill from Wayne’s Solar for $175 claiming they fixed the problem just last week. Confused I called and they said they came out and fixed a pinhole leak and added some shutoff valve without our knowledge or consent. They never called to say they were coming and never gave us an estimate before they completed the work that they say they completed. They could have charged anything or done anything! Who just goes ahead during an estimate and does whatever they want???? Called to discuss it and only after we agreed to pay half did they apologize for dropping the ball but somehow they feel justified coming to our home without an appointment and doing whatever they wanted for whatever they want to charge us?? I feel it’s criminal. My husband didn’t want the headache of dealing with the absolutely obnoxious service person any longer so said we would just pay half so they will go away. Be forewarned. They are shady and accept zero responsibility for their unprofessional and unauthorized service call. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB. This isn’t an acceptable or legal business practice in FL.

Fabulous. Installed my solar heater for pool in 2019 and resurfaced my pool and deck in 2020. Always responsive, professional and fast. Any follow up questions/concerns are addressed immediately and their sales staff (Donnie & Jamie are who I dealt with) are extremely competent and can have a detailed conversation about any components of the system you have questions about. Also, they are polite, professional, and considerate to your schedule.

Donnie was awesome, gave us the best price on solar out of all our estimates without having to negotiate, was continually on point, on schedule, great at communicating when we had questions, or to give us updates, found us more ways to save by replacing our inefficient pool pump and old inefficient water heaters, and we are up and running selling excess energy to our electric company. His installers, plumber, and electricians were outstanding. And everyone was super nice and helpful. We couldn’t be more satisfied. Quality and customer service was perfect.

It went very well. Our project was on time, performed without any problems, and had the desired result (i.e., now our electric bill from FPL is about $9/month). Gloria was our main point of contact at the company, and she is so helpful and knowledgeable.

Flawless. Very professional. Jamie is very knowledgeable and so willing to answer any inquiries, even a few years after the job.

Wayne solar was reasonable price for our solar panels! They are very professional and customer service is fantastic! If you need your pool heated please call them! They are quick and fast to respond for service you need in future ! Call Wayne Solar!! I have been a customer for over 17 years!!!

I recently purchased a home that had an extensive solar package (solar pool system and house solar heater) that was installed by Wayne’s Solar in 2008. The complexity of these systems is daunting compared to what I was used to up North before moving to Florida. The manuals were not enough – when I suspected a leak in the pool system, Wayne’s Solar was in my neighborhood and promptly came to the home and within a couple of minutes repaired the leak at an extremely reasonable cost. The tech, while here gave me a quick orientation on the pool system and water heater followed up by a call with Aaron at their main office who walked me through every item in the system, how it worked, when installed, warranty information, and what kind of performance settings I should have based on the season. I went from confused and daunting to informed and confident. This customer service was very valuable to me and I know now I have a very good system that will save me on utility bills for years to come and how to keep the system tuned. These guys are truly passionate about solar and know their products right down to the serial numbers – that is the main takeaway for this review. Highly recommended.

The installers were nice and very quick.

Sales rep. came to house as requested. He explained how the solar hot water would work and provided accompanying literature. The experience was pretty straight forward and I decided to transition to solar. This has proven to be one of the best investments I've ever made, saving me a minimum of 20% each month on my JEA bill. The system has already paid for itself through energy savings many times over. Wayne's Solar is a reputatable company and they stand behind their products. Their technicians are among the best and their solar products are the finest in the industry.

Whenever we have them do work at our home, they are professional, prompt and no non-sense get the job accomplished. Great outfit to do business with.

Excellent they came within the timeframe that I was given. They got the repairs done jockey, and it has been elk free since they came. Have used them several times. Very good company.

Preface: I contacted Wayne’s Solar to uninstall and reinstall my solar hot water and pool solar panels in order to reroof my house. I had a previous good experience with General Manager, Aaron Kent and employees that came to my house to replace a solar pool panel under warranty in 2015. The original installer of my solar pool and hot water had gone out of business. Unfortunately, my second experience with Wayne’s solar has been a nightmare. 4/14 Two Wayne’s Solar employees take off solar pool and water panels. They manhandled the panels in a way that I thought could have damaged them; dropping the solar panels and piping to the ground and letting the solar hot water panels drag across the roof in a way that carved a gauge in the shingles. They did not clean the shingle material off the hardware and left 27 hurricane strap anchors with 2 inch screws in my roof. I contacted Nick Dalton at Wayne’s and he said they were not reusable parts so they were not removed. My roofer told me the anchors and screws had to be removed so I did it myself. I also cleaned the shingle debris and dried roofing cement off all of the hardware. 4/22 I spoke with Aaron Kent and expressed my concerns about the mishandling of my solar panel removal and the debris left on the hardware. He told me that his crew would have cleaned all of the hardware and that the panels can take a lot of abuse. He told me he would send out one of his best crews to reinstall my panels and to call anytime. 4/26 Three Wayne’s Solar employees come to reinstall my solar panels. In the process, they damaged a bottom row of shingles while hoisting the hot water panels to the roof. They were also very rough trying to remove the old coupling on the hot water panel. I told them not to put the solar pool on as I wanted to have the damaged shingles repaired. And they were repaired at no cost to me by my roofer. I also noticed there was a leak where the two solar panels are joined by a coupling that is soldered. I called Wayne’s to talk to Aaron, but he was in a meeting. Mike answered the phone and told me he would interrupt his meeting. Mike came back on and told me that the crew would return to fix the leak and they did. I asked Mike to have Aaron call me, but he did not 4/28 Two Wayne’s solar employees return to install my pool solar. Shortly after they leave I noticed leaks in the pool solar and they returned to fix them. Later that day I notice more leaks in the pool solar and notify Wayne’s. 4/29 Two Wayne’s employees come out and replaced the vacuum breaker where water as leaking. Later that day I notice the hot water is leaking again. I contacted Ricky at Wayne’s and scheduled them to come back on May 9th as I was going to be out of town for a week. I also asked Ricky to have Aaron call me but he did not. 5/9 Andy, who is the head technician and a VP at Wayne’s solar come to repair the hot water panels. He said he was going to braze them together for a stronger bond. I noticed him smoking while on my roof and laying a lit cigarette on my new $13,000 roof. I was about to say something, but he picked it up before I did. Also, the solar pool panel that Andy was standing on while trying brazing the hot water panels together developed a leak and he had to plug the hole (he probably burned a hole in it with his torch). Within several hour of Andy leaving, the coupling he just brazed started to leak. I called the office to report this and Ricky, who answered the phone, burst into laughter when I told him about the leak. Ricky said he was going to put Aaron on the phone and as I waited I was disconnected. In the meantime, Andy left a message saying he could not get back to me until 5/12. 5/11 I went up on my roof to look at the work that was done to connect the panels and notice holes burned in several of my shingles. This, I figured, was caused by the heat from the brazing. I also noticed a grommet on the panel had been severely damaged by the heat from the brazing I contacted the manufacturer of my solar panels and spoke with a technician named Tim. Tim could not believe what he was hearing and told me that the silicone grommet could be filled with silicone and that if Wayne’ Solar could not stop the leak, to call him back and he would contact The distributor, The Leveredge, to help find my another contractor to resolve this issue. Based on what I told Tim, he felt that the copper piping should be replaced at the headers of each panel the soldered together. I also contacted my roofer to see if he thought the damaged shingles needed to be replaced and am waiting to hear back from him. At this juncture, I am considering having another solar company complete the job. And to top things off, Andy said I may need a new check valve on my pool solar and he showed me sample of ones he had on his truck. I asked him how much it would cost three time before he answered that “they were too busy to do that and I should contact another company to have it done.”

Better than one could hope for.

We had used Wayne Solar at our previous home in Port Orange Fl and they were awesome for both installations. Wayne in both locations personally came out to help, check and supervise.

Installation went well.

It's very good. They were in and out in a day. They were great. They were very professional. They did a great job. Everything is installed. The only thing is they didn't do the greatest job of giving us instructions on how to use it but I don't feel too bad about that because any time I have called them, they've made arrangements to have somebody come up here and take care whatever the issue was and show me what was needed. I would not complain about that because they've been very responsive. I wouldn't say it's a bad price.

Great

The heat pump was replaced and the new fittings leaked. We contacted the provider and they came out to have this fixed and the fittings still leaked. We had to get another company to fix the problem, which they did. After placing a review on Angie's List, Wayne's Solar contacted us about our disatisfaction. They offered to reimburse us for the cost of having the problem corrected.

Experience waas the greatest. It is getting pool at least 10 degrees warmer - for example last night temp in high 50's and pool is already at close to 80 degrees from morning sun.... I may have to get wet later. We will most likely get solar attic fans next. Job completed in 2 hours and no clean up. happy happy

It took two full days for the install but it was done right. The installers vacuumed near the attic entrance and made sure the little details were taken care of. My neighbor is actually installing the same system after he saw mine.

Excellent products and service!

I obtained estimates from 2 different companies. The other company had a "hard sell" approach with badmouthing of competitors and I wasn't convinced their product was best. Their product sat directly on the roof, and had spacing between each tiny tube that made up the panels allowing for leaves and dirt to fall through and sit on my shingles. Wayne's Solar had an experienced sales person explain the product and the advantages of going with their product (NO SPACING BETWEEN THE TINY TUBES MAKING UP THE PANELS AND THE PANELS DiD NOT SIT FLAT ON THE ROOF -- SITS ABOUT 1-1/2 INCHES OR 2 INCHES OFF THE ROOF. I chose Wayne's because their sales person explained their product advantages and the disadvantages of the other product sold by the other company,, without saying anything negative about their competitors.. Wayne's Solar was professional, returned phone calls and emails within a reasonable amount of time. Also Wayne's Solar's price was better and I feel they had a better product to put on top of a shingle roof. My pool heats up quickly and I am glad I went with the product sold by Wayne's Solar.

The quote was higher than expected. I plan on doing the work in the future, however, I will have to wait until funds are available.
