I'm embarrassed to report it was a breaker that was OFF though it appeared to be on. But, I got my answer, the issue resolved and educational information too. The most amazing thing is that I placed a call to them at 11:30 this morning and it's now 1:30 and they have come and gone! Promptness doesn't begin to describe their service. An action hero might have taken longer to respond. They had a break in their schedule and came right over. I'm so impressed with the service I am compelled to share this NOW! I have an electrician to call mine!

I needed a couple minor repairs done quickly that came about through an inspection done during the sale of my home. Richard came by early and performed three minor repairs charging only $75.00! He then replaced two electrical service panels on a home I purchased for $1,500.00. I was unable to be there and trusted Swell to do the repair and am satisfied. We'll be using Richard again soon for more repairs to the new home

Decided to call based on prior reviews. Left message at 386-441-4212 on 3/10/14 at 1:23pm and never recieved a call back.

We have 16 ft. ceilings in our kitchen and all 6 of the recessed light bulbs had burned out. Even if we had a ladder tall enough to reach them, my general fear of heights and my husband's age (77) made it impossible to replace the burned out bulbs. We called Swell Electric after finding them on Angie's List and they were out within a couple of hours. They brought the correct bulbs and replaced the burned-out ones in less then 30 minutes of their arrival. The electrician was courteous, efficient and neat and didn't make us feel like the job was too small for the company to handle. We were very pleased with the service and cost and will definitely call Swell Electric if we have any future electrical work at our house.

Out of all the contractors I had worked with in the remodeling my kitchen and foyer, Swell Electrical was by far the most easiest to work with. They arrived on time and were very professional. If they didn't answer the phone when I called, they returned my call promptly. Some items I had purchased ahead of time knowing that they would be needed for the electrical work. But some things I figured there'd have to be a run to the hardware store. Happily for me, Richard had everthing needed in his inventory...switches, outlets, covers, canned lighting, wiring..etc. He had the and quot;goodand quot; stuff and not the cheap or used junk. When cutting into the walls, they were tidy and only cut what was necessary to cut. I didn't have to do any wall patching. They even cleaned up after themselves. Wow! I had them come out twice...once before the drywallers got there and then again after the drywall and cabinets were installed. Each time, the invoice presented at the end of the work was very reasonable and I paid it happily. Since they were so easy to work with and reasonable, I'm planning to have them out again to do more work for me.

Always arrives on time. Very ptofessional. Offers good advice. Does not try to perform more work than is needed.

This was the second time I worked with them. They replaced the circuit box when we first moved here. They did a fabulous job with that so that's why I called them back. They do great work. I love these guys. If I have other electrical work, they are the ones that I will call. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I was very pleased with the service.

This is a family electrical business run by Richard and his wife. My son and I needed to install two electrical outlets in the garage. We drilled holes and ran the wiring in the attic, installed electrical boxes at two places in the concrete walls, and had purchased all supplies needed for the installation. Richard showed up right on time, was very nice, professional, and fast. He had the entire job done in one hour. His fee was lower than expected, and the work was professional. I highly recommend Swell Electrical Contractors.

They were excellent . He had to dig the whole line up outside to find the problem and did so without complaint,. The fixtures look great and I love the outdoor motion sensor light.

The overall experience was very positive. Richard returned my call immediately. He came in the next few days and performed the work that I needed and is returning to do additional work. He was great to deal with and even put some air vent covers in the pool area as we did not have a hammer drill to install into tile. He was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend him.

Excellent! They showed up on time with several electricians and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The house is about 50 years old and is made of concrete block, which made challenges with installing new lighting outside. They did a great job pulling electricity from other spots and installing the new fixtures, which required drilling into block and running conduit for the wiring up into the soffit and out to the fixtures. They were able to mount the new fixtures flush to the soffit so they look they they are original to the house. I knew they would have to run the wires through conduit, but they did a great job minimizing how it looks and the new switches are easily accessible and unobtrusive. Overall it was a great experience. I definitely recommend this company and will use them again if needed.

Richard and his team were efficent, prompt arriving earlier then expected and will be returning for additionasl work. Additionally he was proactive and pointed out and repaired potentially problematic electric situations we were unaware of.

When I called I left a voice-mail and got a return call right away. We scheduled the appt for the following day and they called me as they were heading my way, as I requested, so I could leave work to meet them at the house. They were right on time, very professional, super nice -- overall a very good experience. I've used 2 other electrician's in the past and did not have the same comfort level with either of them, and would not use them again. It feels good to know if I have any electrical problems in the future, I can count on Swell Electric to get the job done. I thought their pricing was very reasonable also -- and I like the name: gosh, they're swell :and gt;

I first contacted Richard about a month ago for an estimate. I immediately got through to him on his cell phone and by a happy coincidence he was in my neighborhood on another job. He met me at my house less than a half hour later and provided a written estimate via e-mail later that night. After receiving other estimates, I decided to use Swell mostly because of his immediate initial response. He set a time at our request for yesterday between 8 and 8:30 and was there right on the dot at 8:30. I assumed the job was going to take most of the day, but it actually only took about two hours from start to finish. The job was done expertly and professionally without a hitch. I absolutely would recommend this company because it's incredibly rare to find someone who's dedicated to his profession and who also lives up to his word. Thanks, Richard!

It went great. He's a great guy and comes in on time. He's very fair and thorough. He's easy to work with.

Would definitely call Richard agin for electrical work. We had set up an initial time for the work and Richard called us well before the date to inform us that he needed to reschedule due to a dental appointment. On the rescheduled date he arrived within the time frame that he had given us. He quickly assessed what needed to be done and completely the job in a very efficient manner. He also carted away the box from the new lamp post and the old post in his truck so we did not have to deal with that cleanup.

Swell is very busy these days and hard to get an appt. and now i see why. Incredibly diligent and persistent in tracking down the source of our short. he finally did after much back and forth between the circuit box, and sink, and after 3.5 hours on the job, we are safe and sound. professional, prompt and reponsible. i will pass the word around even though I know it will be that much harder to get him out here!

We called them to inspect our oven since it was a gas range and needed to be inspected before we could use it. The performed the action requested.

The technician was on time when I met him for a quote. He gave me a quote on the spot. He later was on time to the actual job appointment, did the work and cleaned up after himself.

He and his helper were punctual, cordial and very, very professional! They explained the process from start to finish and made sure all fixtures were where we wanted them. I would use Swell Electrical again in a heartbeat!

Richard and his assistant arrived punctually, as usual, completed jobs quickly and efficiently; cleaning up mess as if it were their home. We have used Swell Electric for several years and never been disappointed. Richard became our electrician after we had 5 disappointments, either didn't show up or couldn't handle work needed.
