ceese Our fridge had stopped cooling, My wife called Tony and explained the problem, Tony listened and asked lots of questions just to be sure that he was what she needed, or if she could fix it herself. Saving her money on a service call. After it was determined that we did need him we made an appointment. He was right on time, looked over everything and proceeded with the fix(frozen over coil) He was very professional, courtious, and helpful. I would highly recommend him, and will definitly use his services again. Thanks Tony!!!

Came when expected, found problem, had the parts maybe due to asking a few questions on the phone and took care of it with no subsequent issues.

Tony returned my call promptly - I asked him how much his service calls were, and he told me if I could give him some information about the problem with my dryer, he could probably give me a repair price over the phone, which was a big help. He made an appointment for the next day, and arrived just when he said he would come. He worked on my dryer, and all appeared well. Unfortunately, there was more than one problem, and I had to contact him the next day. Again, he was prompt and courteous, and returned the same day to work on my dryer - it needed an additional part, which he supplied at a very fair price. He is extremely courteous and professional, and I was very happy with the service.

I thought I was going to have to replace my entire oven because only the broiler section was working and nothing else. They came right out and replaced the coil and got it working right away. It cost way less than I thought it was going to be and such a relief!

Checked malfunctioning refrigerator for tenant. Said it was probably the electrical connection.

We got Tony (owner of Halifax Appliance) by checking on Angie's List. We were impressed with the reviews that said how honest, prompt and professional he was. We called and left a message. He returned the call promptly and came that same day. He tried to defrost the coils that were frozen up in the hopes that this would fix the problem. We were to see if it would make ice. It didn't and refroze. We called Tony the next day and he was in our community and came right over. He said it was the ice maker. How long would we have to wait for a replacement part? Tony just happened to have one in his truck! He had the foresight to check his inventory and take one with him just 'in case' we'd call. He came right over and installed the ice maker. He took the amount of the house call from yesterday off the price of the ice maker. I would highly recommend Tony as he tries to fix things before he has you buy a new part.

Tony returned our call promptly, scheduled a service call for the next morning between 8:30 and 9:00, arrived promptly at 8:30, quickly inspected our unit and diagnosed the problem, performed all needed disassemby and service, and had the water dispenser operating in short order. Throughout, Tony was polite and well-spoken, professional and very informative, made sure that we understood each step of the operation, and cleaned up afterwards. I will gladly use Tony and his one-man operation again anytime the need arises for any large appliance repair and would recommend him to our friends without hesitation. Angie's List really works!

Service Tech was very thorough, diagnosed the problem over the phone. Ordered parts and arrived on time on Christmas Eve to perform repairs. He saved our Christmas dinner!!!

Called as my parent's ice maker was not working. He was very professional and advised due to the model he had not been trained yet. He could easily have come over, charged us, then told us that. He gave me the number of someone who would be able to work on. Loved his honesty.

He was able to make it out within a couple of hours of my initial call and diagnosed the problem. Instead of charging me to repair it, he guided me on what I could do to fix it much cheaper. I found Tony to be very honest, reasonable, and quick. He even took a look at a few other appliances and gave me feedback on them.

arrived on schedule. job was quickly completed to my satisfaction and also at the quoted price. all trash removed.

Called Tony's number and left a message. He returned my call in less than an hour. Told him what the machine was doing and he pretty much knew what the problem was. He gave us an estimate over the phone and was able to get here within an hour. In less than an hour after he arrived the machine was repaired and he cleaned up after himself. The cost was just what his estimate had been.

Tony was excellent..very integrity minded, fair, honest and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend Tony.

When I noticed the temperatures of the freezer and refrigerator compartments of my seven year old appliance were not on the correct settings I contacted the service department of the major appliance chain. I was told the earliest appoointment available was in six days. When I explained the entire contents would be ruined by then, the response was stated that the best they could do was to forward the request to dispatch and someone would call back at some time if an earlier appointment became available. Thanks to Angie's List I found Halifax Appliance Service. Tony McMullin answered his phone, asked me to describe the problem, instructed me to describe the inside wall of the freezer, and was able to diagnose the problem. He was able to work around a few of my appointments for that day so he could work in ample time to do the repair. He arrived at the time promised. Did the repair quickly, professionally, neatly and very personable. I am totally satisfied with Tony McMullin aka Halifax Appliance Service, Inc. and would not hesitate to call him again if I need an appliance repaired.
