They needed replacement. This was not a surprise as I was pretty sure they did. Tony did a full check up and verified some suppliers and quoted a price shipped directly from the factory. I agreed and he ordered the parts. He did not ask for money in advance which was encouraging to me. As soon as the parts came in he called and came the same day. When it was repaired and tested he presented the bill just as we had agreed. He would be the one I would call if I needed this service.

We got several quotes and they were in line with the others and somewhat higher but not by much. They were courteous and professional in every way and did a great job matching our roofing shingles and cleaning up. Very happy with them. I believe they came a day or two late but they did communicate they were finishing up on another job that was delayed due to heavy rain. Living in FL that is par for the course. Would definitely use them again should the need arise.

Tony talked to me on the phone and I probably would have been able to fix the dryer myself but I had him come out because I wasn't confident I would mess up the knob. While he was there I asked him to look at my ice maker on my refrigerator that has been broken for 18 months. He was able to find a solution to my problem, had a part with him that worked and if it didn't make ice in a few days he told me he would come back and come up with a different solution.

The provider arrived on time, which was important, as I was on my lunch break. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and break down the cost of the parts and labor involved. He also made sure we understood that it was not a 100% guarantee, and what the next step would be if it did not fix the problem. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him. Bonus, he also fixed the dryer.

We contacted Tony on Wednesday and he was at our house on Thursday as scheduled (and on time). He looked at the stove and told us exactly what was needed to repair it. He ordered the part and returned on Monday (again on time) to repair the burner. Our stove is working great again. We would not hesitate to contact him again in the future.

I was trying to determine the source of a water leak in my laundry room. Whether the water was coming from the washing machine or the water heater was not immediately evident. I've used the services of Halifax Appliance in the past, so I had no problem calling Tony for assistance. He came to my residence as arranged. After replacing some fittings and running the machine through a few cycles, no evidence of a leak was found.

Tony was great! He started diagnosing the problem over the phone and came by that same day. He explained to me how everything worked and was very polite. He fixed the water dispenser that day. He ordered a new ice maker for me and installed it several days later. I highly recommend Tony.

Wonderful saved us from purchasing a new washing machine!

I have a 20 year old Speed Queen dryer which stopped heating. I spoke with Tony by phone a few days ago, and we decided it was worth the cost of a service call to see if the dryer could be fixed. I (we) also decided that it would be more cost efficient to repair this old workhorse than buy a new machine with all fancy new electronics that would just fail sooner rather than later anyway. We made an appointment for first thing this morning, and Tony was right on time. A true rarity in Florida! Tony went right to work and found the problem right away. It was a blown thermal fuse. Being an old machine, he was worried that he wouldn't be able to locate the needed part easily, but he rummaged in his truck and found a compatible part that worked perfectly. Tony also found that the vent tubing for the dryer was old and bent, and limiting efficiency, so he recommended changing it, which he did. Now my machine works fine again, and I may have another 10 years with it. Best part is, the price Tony charged was MUCH LESS than the original "ballpark" estimate he gave me on the phone. True honesty. I would not hesitate to use Halifax Appliance again, or recommend him to anyone.

Anthony was a complete professional. He performed the installations and did troubleshooting on the ice maker. He did not try to sell us anything that we did not need. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED We will use him again.

Our ice maker wasn't getting water to make cubes. We weren't sure if it was the inlet valve or the ice maker itself. We needed it fixed quickly, as we use the property as a rental and wanted it ready for new tenants. Tony was very responsive to our scheduling needs, and showed up exactly when promised. He confirmed the icemaker was at fault, and replaced it with a new one he brought with him. He also adjusted the door for better closing. Friendly, professional, and fair pricing. Would definitely use him again.

Tony was very prompt at returning my phone call and scheduling an appointment. He was punctual and professional at diagnosing the issue with the icemaker. He called his supplier and ordered the part and told me approximaly when it would be in. The part actually came in early and Tony was back at the condo installing it. Tony knows his business and is great to work with.

I was so impressed with Tony's service because he had us try things before he came out and he pretty much knew what the problem was before he came. He was so professional and he applied the service fee of $55 towards the labor. He told us over the phone that this was a high end dryer and that is what made me decide to try the service before investing in a new one even though our dryer is at least 15 yrs old. A lot of dryer problems come from the dryer vents not being cleared on a regular basis. He put us on a list to have our vents cleared every two years. I highly recommend Tony Mc Mullin.

They arrived within 5 minutes of me calling and were very helpful. Found my issue with the pump and off they went. Awesome people and will hire again.

Call Tony in morning and he was able to fit me in and stopped by within half hour. Had the mother board replaced, & cleaned grill while the fridge was pulled out. Had fridge working within half hour. Very prompt service, professional, friendly, neat & clean work principles, reasonable price. Will definitely refer to friends.

Our refrigerator died for the second time a few days ago. The first time it was "fixed" was less than 6 months ago right before Thanksgiving. We read reviews on Angie's List and decided to call Halifax Appliance. I must say it was the best decision we've made to date! Tony was at our house very quickly, knew exactly what had happened and also had a replacement motherboard on his truck. I had to pinch myself to make sure it wasn't a dream. Our fridge was back up and running in maybe an hour's time, repaired by a professional, courteous and knowledgeable individual at a fair price. And as an added bonus, Tony is a born teacher who spent time showing and explaining his craft to my husband. I highly recommend Halifax Appliance Service to anyone who reads this review. 1.) When I called Tony he was able to determine basically what I needed and asked that I text him the model number of my fridge and he would order the part. 2.) Once he had the part (within 24 hours) he had the part and called to set an appointment that same day. 3.) Tony arrived a few minutes before the time we set and did an excellent job. He had everything he needed with him to complete the job and completed the work without wasting any time. 4.) He cleaned up the area he worked in after the work was complete.

Tony answered my call & told me he would stop by after his last call of the day, which was near my house. He said he was about 15 minutes away & when I told him I was out but would be back in about 20 minutes, he said he'd meet me. Tony got there a few minutes before me and waited for me. Tony was professional & pleasant. He explained what he was doing & fixed the problem quickly, and for a reasonable price. I would definitely use Halifax Appliance again.

sawIt went extremely well. Tony arrived when he said he would be there and was very knowledgeable. He found new belts for the machine even though we learned that the machine was 25 years old. He said that he saw oil on the carpet under the machine from the transmission and when I later then tried to run the washer, it would not agitate so I called Tony back and he told me that it would be impossible to get a new transmission for that old a machine. He then told me where I could get good used appliances so I purchased a washer the next morning from a company he recommended and Tony said he would come back, remove the new belts from the old machine and refund me the money he had originally charged for them. He did come back as he said he would and he was the machine I had purchased and told me I had gotten a great machine that was well built (15 years old and in great working order) and he said it was far better built than the new ones being sold today. He said I really lucked out when I got this machine. He has the same machine in his own home and really likes it. I am grateful to have found Tony on Angie's list and I shall definitely use him in the future for any and all appliance repairs! I could not have been more pleased and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for service for an appliance. Thank you once again, Angie. Tony was great! I called and setup an appointment for the same week. Tony let me know he would call when he was on his way, which he did, and he called and arrived at the times indicated during our first conversation. Once Tony arrived he introduced himself and got right down to business, evaluating the refrigerator and listening to the issues. As Tony worked to adjust the refrigerator door he explained every step and also provided alternate information for any future issues with the door adjustment and seal. I was surprised to only be charged the service call fee, no labor. As Tony was writing up the invoice I asked about an issue I was having with my refrigerator at home and after describing the issue and telling him what brand he provided great free advice to help solve the problem! Tony was very prompt, professional and polite. I would gladly hire him again any day and have already referred him to a couple of people.

Tony came on time, diagnosed the problem, explained it to me and repaired it. He is extremely professional. I will use again and I highly recommend him.

Very pleased. Tony was helpful on the phone when I called. Based on my answers to his questions he was able to ascertain the problem. He said he was getting a shipment of parts later that day and could come in the morning. He arrived at the time he scheduled. Replaced a bad coil. Also replaced a bad cable that was causing the water leak. He was very courteous, professional and efficient. I would definitely use him again.

We tried to install an in line water filter for our ice machine and couldn't get it to work. We called Tony and explained the problem. He quoted us a price of $120 and said he'd be there within 2 hours. He came on time, fixed the ice maker and reduced his fee to $115.00. He was a pleasure to work with and I recommend him highly!
