They were very good. I went in and picked out what I needed. I wasn't there and I told them how to get in. They went at the right time and they got everything done. When we went back and looked at it, it was fine. For a homeowner that was not there, that was kind of scary. They changed the schedule when one person wasn't done and ready for the carpet and it was no problem. They just did everything right.

After meeting with an insurance adjuster, my wife and I picked out flooring that we wanted at Dick Stark Carpet One. There was one room that we were replacing with tile that we already had. There people called to schedule the tile and came when promised. When the wood flooring came in, they scheduled demolition of the damaged flooring and then installation. They came when promised and did a great job of installation. Because of the nature of a tear out on concrete, there was a lot of dust. After completion of the installation, they had a cleaning crew come in and they left the house cleaner than when they started. I'd definitely use them again and would recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Because of a minor flood in my home, I had to replace wood floors in my home. After picking out the flooring we wanted, Dick Stark Carpet One took care of everything for us including homeowner's insurance paper work. They performed exactly as promised and cleaned up well after the job was finished. They also installed one room of ceramic tile flooring for us. If you're looking to install or replace flooring in your home I definitely recommend Dick Stark Carpet One.

Description of Work: I initially had hardwood flooring done in my living room and tile in an office in 2003. The job had complications (glue was not removed properly from flooring and I ended up having to spend hours getting it off myself). In November 2010 I had them do hardwood in 2 bedrooms with the same BR-111 (only supplier). This time I was upset when I found out the installers steam-cleaned the hardwood to take off the excessive glue (definitely a no-no per BR-111), but I lived with it. Less than a year later (November 2111) I noticed the transition pieces next to the sliding doors in all 3 rooms were coming up and in the master bedrom, it appeared it had not been cut properly to fit the opening. I stopped by Carpet One and they told me they were very busy with the holidays, but would repair it afterward. I heard nothing, sent them a letter, called, took in photographs, etc. Nothing. Just kept telling me they would get to it when I visited personally, but never returned my phone calls. I called them in early June (after stopping by) and they scheduled a date. Never called or showed up. Said someone didn't show up for work. I stopped by on June 18, 2012, and said I was fed up. They promised to come by on either that Thursday or Friday. They did not and did not call to reschedule! This is not ordinary wear--the transitions obviously were not affixed properly. I have no extra pieces, and this wood has been discontinued and is no longer available, so I need a flooring expert to repair it. I'm fairly sure no other hardwood dealer will want to "fix" someone else's work, so I may have to try it myself. Very disappointing for an old-time company which used to have an exemplary reputation. Their loss--I am buying another property and would have had them put down another BR-111 product, approximately $10,000 in total.
