DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- just read some of the recent reviews. Once you sign the contract, they treat you like absolute garbage. The Orlando branch is so poorly run, even the owner was incredibly rude and unhelpful. SO many other options, DONT USE WINDOW WORLD!!!!

Please DO NOT use this company. Ordered 7 windows in December 2021. WW Installed scratched and damaged windows. Missing one screen. Windows size not the same as the replaced windows. Called several times a week since January 2022 with no response. If you enjoy the frustration and high blood pressure for cheap windows choose WW

The steel casement windows on our 60 y.o. house were starting to really looking rough with cracked windows and rusting metal. We contacted Window World and they came out & did estimate then sent someone out after we signed the contract to be sure the measurements were accurate. The crew who replaced the windows took a day & half to do this, they did a fantastic job (although apparently they hadn’t been warned these were steel casement windows which are apparently “the worst” to get out & why it took a day & half. Crew was very responsible about cleaning up and the windows are AMAZING. We had at least 15 windows replaced and it was worth it! We were so happy with Window World we decided to have them replace our front door. What truly impressed me when the Rep came out to get the door measurements, he noticed we had one window where there were some issues. He took the information down to have this replaced under warranty. That’s really solid customer service!

Overall a very frustrating experience. When you’re paying thousands of dollars for something, you expect that the company will respect your time and understand that you have to work in order to have money to spend thousands of dollars on windows. I’ve spent hours calling and emailing them trying to resolve issues and get information. Their customer service is fairly unresponsive and honestly pretty rude. They’re very quick to assume the customer did something wrong. I was given the wrong timeline up front about when the materials would be in. I was told 8 weeks when I paid and it ended up being 13. When I called to ask for an update, I was told that no one should have told me 8 weeks because it’s always 10-12 weeks. My Notice of Commencement was recorded in the wrong county even after I pointed out to the contractor that he brought the wrong documentation and physically printed him the correct version. They lost the version that I signed and I had to sign a new one which somehow got resolved two months later. I left multiple voicemails about this over the course of a week and no one returned my call at any point. Several employees told me that they would have noticed that the Notice of Commencement was recorded in the wrong county, which is odd to me since it took them several weeks to answer the phone and respond to emails after I pointed out that it was wrong. The crew that did installation didn’t follow COVID protocols and didn’t wear masks the entire time. My door was installed without the deadbolt fully extending which they did not fix when I asked them to come back out, and they actually damaged part of the frame. Two separate mangers elected to mansplain to me that the lock did extend all the way instead of taking me on my word that it didn’t. Shockingly, I do know how to use a ruler and can measure the difference between an extended deadbolt and the hole drilled in the door. It’s also a smart lock so there’s an app telling me that the deadbolt doesn’t extend all the way. I only replaced 1/3 of my windows and will be switching to another company for the rest.

The price is great, the installers were nice but what a headache! First, they left glass shards all over my home after installing and ruined our landscaping, then sent the WRONG photos TWICE so our permit wasn't approved. Now they need to come back, take out a couple windows, take proper photos, and reinstall the windows. The city said this happens all the time with this company and they never submit things correctly even though they know the rules. Nightmare!

STARTING WITH CHAD THE GENERAL MANAGER. TO THIS DAY HAS YET TO TRY AND COME UP WITH A SOLUTION TO WHAT THEY CAUSED , HAS AVOIDED DIRECT CONTACT AND HAS YET TO ANSWER ANY OF MY REQUESTS FROM MONTHS AGO SO THAT THEY COULD HAVE POSSIBLY NOT CREATED SUCH A PROBLEM >We ordered windows for a project in orlando for a rehab and the communication was always sporadic. we eventually got the windows installers were scheduled to start and they never showed up. we then rescheduled and they showed up and left shortly after, no contact for over a week . finally we went by to check on things and the windows were not finished. one was missing , one was cracked with a piece of paper covering it. i called asked what had happened and they had no idea what i was talking about. so they then called me back days later and said they needed to reorder a window that broke and one that was measured wrong. weeks passed i heard nothing, finally i called and they said oh yeah your window came in last week, lets set up a date to install. we did and they didnt show up again. so finally they did and windows were installed after almost 3 months of no windows on a job that was supposed to be completed in 30 days.NEEDLESS TO SAY they completely caused major issues with scheduling , closing dates and money disbursements. Thousands in losses and work were lost on this . I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS TO ANYONE.! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

This company is the absolute worst. Do not even think about buying windows here. Run as fast as you can. Deceptive sales, missed appointments, 4-5 hours late almost each appointment and all they have are excuses. They do not respond to the BBB and have an F. To make matters worse, they also failed the county inspection and are once again 2 hours late to come fix their mistakes and won’t return my call. Have been dealing with them since for 5 months now.

Wrong size side glass window was delivered, after door was removed. Door frame installed out of alignment. Installer did not know how to install door lock properly. Second installer had to be scheduled to replace entire door frame and new side glass window. Door trim started to buckle about 4 weeks after final installation. Telephone calls to Window World were placed on hold 4 times and then transferred to another service rep, who placed caller on hold two times. No cooperation was provided until harsh language was used. Owner of house was a former locksmith and did the door lock installation himself. Company claimed to have a lifetime warrant on all work completed - the warrantee was an offer of financial discount, so that the purchaser could do the repairs on his/her own responsibility.

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. I will make this short and sweet. They were tasked with replacing 10 windows in my house. To be honest, this job included cutting a larger opening in an exterior wall to install a bigger window overlooking our pool. So here are the main points of the HORRIBLE experience I had with them: 1. The job was scheduled for 3 days.....They finally completed it after 10 months. No that is not a typo. TEN MONTHS!!! 2. I spent 3 of those months with a piece of plywood over a hole in my wall. It would have been longer if I allowed them to pursue their course of corrective action to correct the problem. 3. The subcontractor they had install my windows left broken glass inside and outside the house. 4. I had to, on multiple occasions, organize the activities of the work. The installation manager, was not capable of doing it himself. 5. I tried to contact the owner of the company on multiple occasions to meet with him and discuss the project and its problems. I still have never spoken to him. 6. They removed the new larger window after it was originally installed in order to make corrections to the failed install from the subcontractor, and the warehouse personnel THREW AWAY the window. This required a one month delay while a new window was ordered. 7. I was told I needed to sign a form indicating the job was complete before it was fully completed because the subcontractor needed to submit for partial payment of services. Sounds stupid but there were two forms (intended to be for each 1/2 of the job). Needless to say, we are one month into the work and I'm already being billed by the 17 month free financing bank. I even contacted the BBB about them and filed a formal complaint. Window World never answered the complaint. Go figure! Enough said. I wouldn't hire this company if 10 generations of my families life depended on it! This has to be the worst run company on the face of the earth. This is the cheapest company in town for windows, but as the saying goes.....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

We hired Window World to install 17 Hurricane Impact windows and a glass sliding door on May 2014. The windows installed by Window World were not able to pass inspection after 4 months of trying. What was supposed to be a 3 day installation scheduled for June 18th, 19th and 20th turned into 4 months of having to allow window world to try and ?fix? the issue?s so that they could pass inspection. Window world has lied to us, lied to the credit card company and fraudulently charged our credit card, failed to return numerous phone calls and messages, they put our children?s safety in danger by lying and telling us the upstairs kids bedroom windows were fully installed only to find out later that they were barely tacked in, the whole window could move if you touched it with your finger. They left our house damaged from being exposed to water intrusion, mold and bugs. After their 3rd failed city inspection we had no other choice but to terminate our contract with them. We hired a lawyer to terminate the contract, hired a new company to repair the damage to our home and install new windows. We paid extra to have WW?s windows carefully removed and stored in our garage so that we could return them to WW. They refused to pick up the windows or admit they did anything wrong, we were willing to cut our losses for the lawyer fees along with the cost to repair the damage done which amounted to a few thousand dollars. After the fraud department at Wells Fargo did a full investigation and they refunded our money. WW filed for Arbitration against us even though we tried to be courteous and fair but they made our lives a living nightmare in any way they could and drug out the whole process driving up our attorney?s fees which put our family?s financial security in jeopardy, what?s infuriating is that we had no choice, they put us in a situation that we couldn?t control. We either kept paying attorney fees or we would lose everything. The warranty says ?YOUR ONLY REMEDY IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IS TO ALLOW WINDOW WORLD TO REPAIR? so they try and trap you with their contract which also says they are not responsible for any damages to your house! I wish I would have read the contract more carefully, but you trust that the contract is just to protect them again people who are crazy. They tried to use that against us saying but thankfully they never technically "finished" the installation so the Arbitrator didn't the warranty clause to apply to us. Most people don?t document enough information to prove them wrong but they messed with the wrong people this time. I am making it my personal goal to not allow this company to put anyone else through the stress and damage we?ve endured for over a year now. WE WON THE ARBITRATION, but that only is half the battle. Even though we won and are entitled to be awarded attorney?s fees WW refused to pay us so now we have to go to court to fight window world to get our attorney?s fees back, which guess what?.... means more attorney?s fees. And it will take months to get the court date and then who knows how long to get the money back. We are only able to get attorney fees back, we can't get back all the money for damages. The main problem with the windows is that they ordered them too small and then tried to cover it up. On top of that there were numerous other problems with the install job... basically they did not follow the instructions on how to install them. Sadly the city inspectors are not allowed to remove the trim to see how the window is really installed which is why it took us 4 months to find out the real problem. They admitted that they install windows like this all the time, so if you've had them install windows in your home and have problems with the caulk cracking or loose trim you probably have the same problems with install but the inspector might have missed it! They provide an installation packet with the permit, I would read it and even consider hiring an inspector to reinspect your installation because it can take years before water damage within the walls of your home becomes apparent! I'm sure this company probably does have some good installers who work for them, but at the end of the day when there is a problem it's how the management handles it that shows the true colors of a company. After seeing how this company handles their problems I don't see how they are still in business! You can call the city of Ormond Beach at 386-676-3233 with WW?s License number and ask if they have failed inspections, it?s public record. I am going to be working on getting all the documents and reports proving all of this information to put online for everyone to see the truth as soon as I have time. Because it?s gone on for so long we have an extensive amount. We have several pictures and videos as well.

In this case there are things that we could have done better,we are not perfect. We never claimed to be. However, over our 16 years here locally in business and 60,000 clients satisfied, we have never had to litigate with any of them. Never. We've always taken great care of and with our issues and the clients own. 60,000 clients satisfied. Now have we been bamboozled, tricked, taken advantage of, deceived by clients in that time? You bet And we learn something every time as we have here. Thank you

I received a number of estimates and this was the best, plus had a good recommendation. We knew it'd be a several week wait for the windows after we signed the contract and were measured. They called and said our windows were ready and we set up a date. We were ready. When they arrived, it turned out one window of a 4-set opening was not shipped yet, but the could make a substitute. We did not want a substitute and were not thrilled that they were not all going to be delivered/installed together, but had the rest of the job done, less the one opening that involved 4 windows--waiting on that one window. In about 2 or so weeks, i called to enquire about the order. I was told they were on the way on a truck and was told someone would call me back on Monday to schedule installation. They did not do so. I called a week or so later and was told the window still wasn't in (and given what seemed to me like attitude that i was bothering them). Another week or so went by and finally the last window arrived and finally they installed the last one. The install job in all cases went well and they were very professional. Given that this was 8-10 months ago, i've had a chance to consider. I notice some of the caulk has cracked as it cured--to me this means the windows were slightly under-measure, I'm sure to make sure they fit, But this means they had to use a lot of caulk, too. I realize that in a house 20 years old not all is square but it seems like they could have been measured a bit more tightly. Still, overall i was satisfied with the job and the windows are very nice, i really like them. I wish they'd delivered on time and when promised, and not had promised but not delivered on time on the one window.

Three men came to my home at 9:30 am Tuesday. Not all were in uniform. Carlos was in charge and had his 7 year old at my home. The child used the restroom and left urine on the toilet and floor. One of the workers was trying to get the window loose. Instead of cutting the window out they used a crowbar and damaged the front of my home. There are metal pieces on the window frame that they used a blow torch to cut out. They were popping glass all over the inside of my home. They tried to saw out the window and due to having some of the glass popped out already there was concrete dust and sawdust all over my home. They covered nothing. They did not recess the windows at all and caulked them in. They only did 3 windows and left the additional 7 in my garage and told me to call the office and get another appointment set up for the remaining service. I spoke to Amanda who is in charge of setting up installations and she wanted to send the same 3 men out a few days later. She took me off speaker phone and I spoke to Dennis who is the installation manager. I tried to discuss the issues with the service rendered and Dennis wanted to send the same 3 men to my home. Thursday morning I woke up sick again due to all the dust. I called the company at 8:01 am and declined service from the same 3 individuals. Those 3 individuals showed up at 9:30 am wanting to do the remaining service. I declined and told them I had already called the office to cancel the service appointment. Dennis called me and told me he would be at my home in a few hours as he was on the other side of town. I called my friend to be my witness. Dennis arrived and after a brief assessment he agreed the 3 windows were not done appropriately. He agreed the dirt and dust was not acceptable. He agreed to pay for damage, cleaning, and resolve the issues with the house. He promised me that my home would be exactly how it was before the initial service was rendered. He said he would send out his best crew who could do the full service in one day which he did. The crew removed and reinstalled the 3 windows and also installed the other 7. Dennis offered to pay out of pocket all expenses for services to resolve all the issues in my home and garage due to their service. I told Dennis that I don't have faith in the company to do the job. I also told him I was on vacation that week and I work 2 jobs and 7 days a week. I work 8-5 mon - fri and 24 hours on the weekends. He said he would compensate me for ruining my vacation. I told him I had new blinds scheduled to come in that had to be rescheduled numerous times already. He said he would compensate me for my loss of privacy, and energy consumption. I couldn't have my home cleaned till the following Monday. I've had to pay for a commercial cleaner out of my pocket, the contractor to fix the damage to the outside of my home. I had no privacy for 2 weeks. Dennis and I have been in constant contact since this discussion and he only wants to pay for the cleaning of my home, the cleaning of my car and repair of the damage to my TV. After the cleaning crew came in they noticed my leather sofa, love seat, entertainment center and tv all had white caulking on them. The cleaning crew could not remove the caulk from any of the surfaces. I have a voice recording of the conversation with Dennis of all his promises. I'm trying to be very professional and courteous with the provider. I have requested the certificate of workers comp and liability from window world. They supplied both documents for Carlos only not the company. I have requested he pay for the damages to the items in my home to which he has declined. He wanted to spend $60 to buy me a new tv. I have called several times to speak to the owner and I have expressed via email that I wanted to speak to the owner. They will not fill out an insurance claim and they refuse to allow me to speak to the owner. I have not paid them for the service. I have signed a paper that the company provided that states I will not pay for the remaining services till all issues are resolved so they have yet to be paid for the full service.

This was a big job, it took them a day and a half to install. They made everything as easy as possible throughout the transaction and I couldn't be happier with my windows! It is so much quieter and more comfortable in the house, i don't mind the cold nearly as much as the Florida heat so I don't use my heat all winter but I do suffer a little bit when it gets really cold... NOT THIS WINTER! Of course I had read about the windows keeping the heat and cold out but you never know how much of that is hype....experiencing the difference is another story! You know how you go to bed comfy, then wake up in the middle of the night colder and maybe have to grab another blanket? Well, even without using he heat, it was one temp when I went to bed and the same temp when I woke up after sleeping like a baby the whole night through! Another thing different was the shock I felt more than once when I opened up the back door and felt the cold, having no idea how much colder the outside temp was. That never happened before my new windows....and keep in mind, this is without using any heat AT ALL. all winter. Since the heat is the real issue for me, i can't wait to see how this will help me with my bills and comfort this summer. I consider this money very well spent and a great value. Highly recommend Window World! My windows are beautiful too...

Our experience of Window World?s services and window products has been, by and large, very satisfactory. I would have no problem recommending this company. Now for the details of our experience: The licensed, friendly, chatty crew of 4 arrived on time at 9:30 a.m. and worked without a break till 4:30 p.m. They removed all of the old single-pane windows in our home (19 windows); replaced them with new double-pane/glazed, double-hung, argon-infused windows; completed all the interior/exterior caulking and finish work; and effected a post installation clean up. The quality of the installation work was excellent, and we are very pleased with the windows?which are highly energy efficient (our a/c isn?t running as often), improve the curb appeal of our property, and go a long way toward sound proofing our home. My only complaint would be that the Window World sales representative did not adequately explain and/or stress the importance of Florida Public Service Commission rules regarding the availability of rebates for energy saving home improvements. The fact is, Florida homeowners can qualify for a rebate on many home energy savings products, but only if they arrange to have Duke Energy, or their local power company, complete a home energy evaluation/inspection prior to the installation of the energy-saving product (in our case, the new windows). Our Window World sales representative didn?t make that requirement abundantly clear to us. As a result, we didn?t contact Duke Energy until the day after the new windows were installed. End result: no rebate for us, as the rules are hard and fast. No exceptions. Four things to be aware of if you?re planning to do business with Window World: (1) Be prepared to wait 3-to-5 weeks between your initial order and arrival/installation (all windows are custom ordered; apparently Window World doesn?t maintain a large warehouse stock). (2) Window World charges extra for removal of interior window coverings prior to installation (shades/curtains/drapery); you can save money by removing these items yourself before installation takes place. (3) Window World will conduct a final quality control inspection approximately one week after installation. DO NOT remove any of the AMI stickers from your windows until after that inspection has been completed; if you do, any product defects won?t be covered by warranty. (4) The Window World installation crew appreciates, and indeed, seems to expect, tips. I had no problem with that; others might.

We had another company recently come out for an estimate who is also on Angie?s List. That salesman told us some things about Window Worlds estimate that just floored us. When they order a window with that Low E coating, it automatically comes with the Argon Gas. They get it for free but charge you for it to make some extra bucks. The windows come from the factory, with half screens?for free. They charge you for that too. The ?Prep to code/trim kit? thing? It?s a lie as well. There is no such thing as prep to code. The trim kit is an automatic thing with the window order from their factory as well. The entire Prep to Code/Trim Kit is their way of saying simply?.LABOR but, their add says ?INSTALLED?. We really didn?t believe the add every time we saw it. When we had Window World out to our house, we weren?t Angie?s List members yet or, we would never have called them based on their current and past reviews. We will never do business with a company that uses false advertising and this company takes the cake! We figured if they lie to get in your house; what else will they lie about.
Description of Work: We had a window estimate from Window World in Orlando a couple of months ago. It seems like their signs are everywhere boasting a “$189, Any Size Installed” window. So, we did some simple math on 14 windows (14 x 189 = $2646). We also added sales tax and guessed at the cost of a permit. There is a disclaimer (*) underneath their add so, when we called, we asked about the pricing. The girl that picked up the phone re-directed us to the sales manager. We asked him about the pricing. He said they are in fact as the add states unless you have extras add-ons like wood grain etc. They sent a salesman out about a week later. Here we go: The window, $189 for a small one like a bathroom size. Then, they charge you for the screens. If you want the Low E, that’s extra. Also, the Argon Gas, that’s extra. Also the glass breakage warranty that’s extra. Get my point? Now, we get to the labor, which they call “Prep to Code/Trim Kit”. We asked exactly what that was. The answer we got was confusing. That was another $75 for each window. So is this a bait and switch? YES. They bait you with a price ($189) (*) (will not tell you anything on the phone) that most people can afford and then come in with a price that is DOUBLE of the advertised price.

I originally called in December and had requested the sales rep who first sold me the windows, Harold. I didn't receive a call back in December, but at the time had chalked that up to being busy around the holidays because lets face it, everyone is. Eventually, I called again about two weeks ago from Today and left a message for Harold. This time, I did receive a call back from him. He informed me he is very busy, and I would have to wait until the following Saturday for an appointment with him, I said I didn't mind. We left off that conversation with him informing me he would call me the following week to schedule a Saturday morning price consult. By Wednesday I still had not heard anything so I called in and requested to speak with him - he was "in the warehouse" but the receptionist went and got him for me as I was irritated I had not heard from him. He told me he would come Saturday morning 1/31/2015 at 9:30am - I said that is fine, it doesn't have to be that early if you have other clients just so long as it is before 1:00pm... his reply was I am not going to waste my day, I will be there at 9:30. Saturday 9:30 Harold does not show. I wait until 10:48 before calling Window World to find out what happened. Nicole with weekend reception answered my call and said she would call Harold and try to find out what is going on, and that she would also call Mr. Tillman the owner. I ended up having to call back two hours later after not hearing anything. Again, I spoke with Nicole. She was very sweet, and seemed to be doing everything she could to help. She informed me she left another message for Mr. Tillman with the situation and my personal information so that he could return my call. Today, 2/2/2015 at 1:50pm, I still had not heard anything from Mr. Tillman or Harold so I called yet again! This time, Harold was on the phone with another client and despite the receptionist leaving him a note indicating I was on the phone he decided not to take my call (not to sound incredibly rude that I am more important, but he could have told her to have me wait). When I initially called in this afternoon I informed the receptionist that this was my last attempt to resolve the matter before I moved on to another company and left my two cents about this experience. He still did not want to take the call and so here I am, and even still he has not attempted to call me as I am writing this. It is long winded so it has been at least 15 minutes. You would think a disgruntled former customer who was looking to do repeat business would be some what important, but I guess not. I liked Window World the first time I used them. I originally chose them a few years ago based on good reviews on Angie's List, and even though I had hesitations I decided to go back to them despite several recent reviews that warned of a sudden lack in professionalism. I can honestly say, this company is not worth your time. They are not super competitively priced (I know this from the first time I used them), and they are not overwhelmingly good enough at anything else to justify this kind of treatment towards customers in general, but especially repeat customers. I am truly disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone.
Description of Work: I previously used window world to install 8 windows and 2 sliding glass doors in my home a few years ago, but I still have two half round windows and a glass block window that need to be installed. So, I was calling to use Window World to finish the remaining windows.

I met with Jason the salesman; 1/14/15 at 12:00 and he was very punctual. Prior to our appointment I researched Window World, talked to friends, and reread the Angie list reviews. BBB gives them a b rating with 20 complaints; 15 of them dealing directly with product and servicing I discussed with Jason right off the bat when we met about their reviews. He admittedly said they grew substantially in the early part of the year 2014 and they had complaints. He stated in so many words they have hired more people to keep up with the demand, but yet look at the last 5 reviews in Angie's List. In the last 5 reviews with Angie's List the reviews done for 2014 shows there were 1a,b, c, d, and f. The complaints all had 1 common theme; their installation. I ask Jason, that because of their poor reputation/reviews in installation that we do 1/3 down for the job and the rest upon completion. They refused that proposal as they didn't think I quote," You would not be happy with the finishing aspects of the job such as the caulking around the windows". It was also conveyed to me, that an unreasonable customer was mad as it was taking over 3 weeks to get a replacement window, as the original window was damaged upon arrival to the site. To me there is No Reason why a window should be delivered to the job site with bent frames etc. as that should be done at the warehouse prior to delivery to the job site. I realize the 1/3 down doesn't or barely covers their cost, thus they have an incentive to install the windows and do it correctly. I believe state law says they can charge NO MORE than 50% for a down payment. Per Jason they have accepted less but had the lady sign a contract again protecting them only. I advised them I would give them permission to pull my credit report. I showed I have the cash for the job. I'm trying to protect myself by offering possible solutions for us to do business but there no counters with them to address my concerns. Just a flat NO! Under the circumstances Window World with their admitted poor reviews I see they doesn't want the business and to prove that their installations are good. They want me to take this risk on. I told Jason every company has issues/problems it's how they handle them that makes them stand out either good or bad, In writing this review it is very clear this is a company I do not want to use. I believe in the power of Angie's list and the protection we give each other with these reviews. I have been very pleased with other contractors that I have used and have written some excellent reviews for them.

Response from Window World of Central Florida
Dear sir, Our reviews over the scope of our business are excellent and we work very hard to make sure that all of our clients are very satisfied. That is shown both here and with the bbb rating but still doesn't quantify the thousands of satisfied clients that are not reflected in these venues. Your review is unfortunate , unrealistic and really represents the worst that an online review can offer. The way we do business is clearly stated upfront, it is your choice to do the business with us or not. Please don't expect that blackmailing us with a bad angieslist review would make window world policies change especially for you. Its... Well, It's rude

So first let me start by saying, I am an easy person. Say what you mean, mean what you say, do what you are going to say, and treat my time as important as yours. I have a job so when you cancel or don't show up on time it affects me. Your time is zero more important than mine in any sense of the word. Ok, so pretty straight forward 1. First to Marc didn't show up on time and was wwaayyyy over our time. Again I am WORKING, taking my time to meet you. So I had to finally leave and the wife told Marc we would contact him next week when we say that that means.. we will contact you next week.. not keep calling to try to get in as clearly there is a reason we said not until next week. I get it they need to make sales, but pushy doesn't really make me feel warm and fuzzy 2. Next, he was 20 minutes late because of the bad weather (now this I am not discrediting at all. I am certain it is true truly I am) so I give 1000% pass on this one, just telling what happened. 3. I was very clear that I have 3 criteria while I make my decision (between WW and the other 3). * Don't bad mouth folks to make a sale... I hate it * Say what you mean and stand behind it. Write it down as words don't mean much to me if you won't back them up * How do you perform when the job is done? I had already seen bad reviews on the BB and on Angies list but Marc called and I thought what the heck why not All of these things were made clear soon as he came in. So Marc did the numbers and we sat down to talk about them. Marc used a brochure from his work to walk me through. When he got to the part about the Low-E, he showed me a table and was explaining how my current windows were .61 and if I just bought their standard windows (no low-e etc) they would only go down to .55, so better for sound etc, not so much for efficiency. He then went through the table and he would point at the Heat side and CIRCLE the number and say... to get this number will cost you 25, 49, 68, 101 dollars. The first number was like .27 (so good but not what I am looking for). I was looking more for 96-98%. The next was .19 and then another was like .17/.18 which was 101 dollars... (ok it was more but let me get to that). So understand when someone takes a pen, visually shows me a Table that is talking about LOW-E and say this sentence "To Get to .19 which is 97 / 98 % efficiency, it will cost you $68 dollars per window more", then guess what... I DONT EXPECT TO PAY MORE TO GET TO 97 / 98 ( which btw also through me off because first the number was 98 then it would waiver between 97 / 98)... So I just happened to say, do these windows come with Argon Gas? Because I am not interested in power for Argon gas, especially when my Low-E is getting me 97-98%. Before I go on, note, we were on a page TALKING ABOUT LOW E, WHY in the world would a page, with a table showing a number of .18/19, NOT ACTUALLY HAPPEN WITH JUST LOW E. Secondarily, remember, I already told him, write it down, say what you mean and all I care about is talking straight up details. He looks at me all confused and says "Well you need the Argon gas because it's what helps you get to the 98% (now we are back to 98%)"..... And the Argon is $15 dollars more per window I said "What are you talking about?. You just said it was $68 to get to 98%, now all of a sudden it's like 85? I said those two things are MUTUALLY exclusive. You cannot say the first sentence and then when you realize you aren't going to get me to buy Argon gas, all of a sudden say 'Ok crap you need that though for the rating'" What in the heck people.. Ok so that's not the bad part (to me) When I stop him and ask the question and try to get him to JUST TELL ME WHAT % IT IS WITH JUST LOW-E, he says, well it's a few % less... 'say huh'? Nope still not the bad part. I try to explain to him that I told him already I want straight forward information. I don't need sales pitches etc, but you just told me something that in fact is NOT true, and not accurate and I don't care if it's 15 cents or 15 dollars. You know he tells me... 2 things 1. He would have told me but I interrupted him.. 2. We were gonna get to that in a second. So then I change from caring about the windows, to caring about why he is blaming me for HIM telling me something that is NOT TRUE, and somehow.. it's my fault... because I called him out. Then he argues with me that in fact he didn't do this. Wow... amazing since my security system that records the whole dang house agrees with me that in fact he did... Needless to say, he started to tell me he would throw in the Argon, but that isn't the point. The point was a) you told me something not true. Did I think he was some kind of liar at first NO.. but I wanted clarification b) when I flat out caught him in both the wrong price and the wrong information related to Argon gas he just kept saying well I'll throw it in I told him simply this... You gave me the wrong information. When I called you on it, if you had just said "My apologies, you are correct, in fact I should NOT have SAID and WRITTEN IT DOWN (because he did) that it was only $65 dollars per window to get to 98%, it would be 85. I would have said, oh ok, no harm no foul... but instead TWO times he tried to explain the "mistake" away because I interrupted him (or as he said, I "jumped in") After the 3rd time he tried to tell me it was my fault.. I through him out.. I told him it was time to go. Look, for some reason sales people / service people think that the person they are dealing with a) has no clue of what the heck is going on b) how hard it is to be in sales (which I am in) c) that when people ask for clarification that they have to make up some BS because they feel "caught"... You don't!!!!!!! a) I have a clue b) I understand sales c) I own my mistakes and work to fix them. Offering people free stuff isn't fixing it, that's a form of terrible appeasement. I was looking for maturity, integrity and accountability. I didn't feel that at all in my overall experience. These folks, from what I could see of the numbers didn't beat the other folks (which Marc ASSURED me he could easily, because he assumed I had square straight easy windows)... How do I know this... because after he made the statement (I can beat lowes and homedepot easy) he then asked "you just have square windows right?" Of which my answer was No... every single one of my windows is custom and over 50% have eye brows. Anyway I got a terrible vibe from day one, but figured hey.. I'm not everyone's cup of tea either so maybe I'm reading to much into it.... But after today clearly I wasn't. (at least for me) You should of course take your own personal experience etc into account and NOT just use mine.. Cheers

Salesperson was very pleasant (as you would expect) and explained at length about why their business model would ultimately keep their costs below their competitors. He had to adjust his quote by over one hundred dollars in order to beat a quote by a competitor with a similar product and warranty which was lower than his in order to get the contract, however. Once the windows were sent from the factory, they were able to schedule an installation time within a week of their arrival. The installer James called the morning of to confirm the details of the project and was cleanly and dutiful. His emphasis on detailing and finishing was appreciated. The morning after the installation, I noticed on two of the windows that the caulk along the top of the window had contracted overnight and bent metal shims (drip caps) down exposing the space between the structural home and the window frame to the elements and moisture. This was very concerning, and I placed a call to the service and scheduling manager Eric. By late afternoon my phone call had not been returned, and so I called back demanding that I either speak to Eric or the franchise owner Brian directly. This time was connected directly to Eric who questioned me about the problem and stated he would get the installer back out the next morning to correct it. I was not home when the fix was performed, but when I returned, I found that instead of replacing the bent caps and resealing the window, the installer had simply caulked above the bent caps into the space between the window and the home to reseal them. This seemed like a quick band-aid fix to me, and I placed two messages with Eric wanting to review the job and whether or not what the installer had done was indeed satisfactory (admittedly, I threatened arbitration via Angie's List as instead of replacing the deformed parts, they seemingly just covered it up with caulk). Eric nearly two weeks later has yet to return my calls. I ended up calling the installer directly to question him about his work and he stated that the thermal contraction of the caulk was not unusual and so long as the drip caps were positioned forward of the window, they would function appropriately, even if they had bent slightly more then normal on one window (again, they had deformed on two of the three windows I had installed). Since I wasn't getting anywhere with Eric, I waited to see if this was validated by the inspector, which it ultimately was. I am over all happy with my decision and purchase. I received a competitive product for the best price I could get. The windows are double paned, argon filled, low E, and have improved the comfort and energy efficiency of my home significantly over the original single pane aluminum framed windows. I am able to bring a great deal of natural sunlight into my home without it becoming intolerably hot. While I would have preferred to see the deformed parts replaced, their fix was approved by the city inspector so I am therefore satisfied of its quality and I see no reason to make a mountain out of a mole-hill. The inaccessibility of the service manager was the only distinctly sour note in my interaction with the company.
