Provided detailed estimate and list of what we needed to do to support like all hanging wall items and shelf items removed as well as removal of all furniture except what was against the walls and just about a foot deep. Also fan blades removed and light moldings in the ceiling. Also no dogs, cats, or people running around. First work day 5 persons worked on removing the popcorn while protecting the house surface areas with plastic sheets. Then applied the knockdown texture then removed the plastic and cleaned up. For the next two days the house remained empty while the texture dried. On the fourth day the same people came back and painted the ceilings while protecting the house surface areas with plastic sheets. Then the plastic was removed and they cleaned up. The work looks wonderful.

Called Will to get an estimate on spraying textured knockdown on a bedroom ceiling and walls. His estimate was fair and he was able to make it on the day that I requested. He was punctual and professional. He did outstanding work and cleaned up when he was done.

We recieved a quote from Will that was competative with other companies we looked at. We went with him based on his friendliness, quickness to respond to our calls and questions, and availablility to fit us in around other contruction we had going on in the house. His crew did a great job on putting up the texture. For it being a really messy job they cleaned up after themselves really well. A few days later Will came back to finish the painting.

Called Mr. Philips for a quote on a renovation project, Mr. Phillips answered the phone right away, which was great. Unfortunately, he was too busy and unwilling to provide me with a quote. My residence is less than 5 miles away from his listed offices, so I was surprise by his lack of interest.

He did such a wonderful job. He arrived on time and was very organized, professional, and friendly. You cannot even tell how bad it was before, it was a real shock to me when it was finished. If everyone had work ethic like he does, it would be a better world. He's a wonderful fellow who I'd recommend to anybody.

We couldn't have asked for a better painter. Mr. Phillips took four bare walls and made them into a masterpiece. Mr. Phillips did all the work from start to finish in the time he said he would.

Went very well, as expected. No surprises

I had hired a painter to do several rooms in my home and I decided that I would also have him remove the popcorn texture from my bonus room ceiling -- that turned out to be a huge mistake. The paint job was good but the popcorn removal in the bonus room turned out terrible - the surface was uneven, there were gouges in quite a few places; it looked really bad. After a couple attempts to correct the situation, it wasn't getting much better so I realized I needed a specialist. I was so relieved to find Will on Angie's List. I called him on a Saturday morning and he happened to be in my area so within an hour he had come by to look at the job and provide an estimate. He explained the job, how long it would take, the results I could expect, etc. and everything went exactly as he described. The work took 4 days. He arrived on time every day and got right to work. He was polite and worked hard to cause as little disruption in the household as possible. He protected all the surfaces in the room carefully and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job. I am very pleased with how everything went and I highly recommend him!

He was prompt and professional and even took down some crown molding (he didn't have to take it down to complete his job) and molding from an entry way, patched it up and didn't charge me. It took a couple of extra days than initially estimated, but Will kept me well informed on the progress and reason for delays - drying time. I appreciate the fact that he didn't rush the job and took the time to do it right. The ceiling looks amazing. I am very happy with the results.

Will always arrived on time and was very meticulous. Each day when they left they cleaned up as much as possible and were very considerate of my dogs which come and go through the lanai dog door. The ceiling looks fantastic and I can't wait to hang my new fans out there. Will knows what he is doing and if you are looking for someone to do an excellent job with a knockdown finish you should call him. He is a painter as well and does wall paper removal etc.. I have some more work on the inside of the house that I am going to call him back to do. I have had knockdown work done before and this guy is so much better!

Second time used Will. He does an exceptional job from start to finish. Does a great job of preping the space to prevent any damage. He arrives on time, performs his work and cleans up each day. He does a beautiful job of applying the new knockdown ceiling with two coats of ceiling paint and two coats of wall paint. I recommend Will to everyone and would use him again without a doubt.

We purchased our home in November 2007 and wanted the old popcorn ceilings removed and walls painted. We contacted Will Phillips who came out the same day to give us an estimate. The work was started and completed as scheduled. The price was very reasonable. The ceilings are beautiful. We contracted with Will again to do similar work and again were very pleased with the job. Our dog decided that Will was her new friend!
