Vic's Appliances Repair

They never answered the phone or called back. Called multiple times by myself and my tenants.

Vic is a sincere and profesional repair serviceman. We had a problematic Frigidaire range. He did an extensive amount of troubleshooting and replaced a main circuit board which fixed one problem. We had a follow on problem and he sought to resolve it--but never did--and has failed to follow up so we have been left to work directly with Frigidaire. I feel badly not giving him a straight A rating--but I never had a vendor simply fail in follow up!

We gave them the model information and the description over the phone and they charged us $65 to look at the unit. Not take anything apart but watch us run it for 5 seconds. They don't know which parts they need and because it's heavy, if we cannot help lift the unit, it will cost more to fix it. If they took it apart to diagnose the issue, I understand but he was here less than 10 minutes and 5 of that was calling in the charge on our credit card. It also took a couple of phone calls to get someone to call us back.

Terrible! Called Vic's on a Sunday an left a message, expecting a call back on Monday. No one called so I called back again on Monday left a message. They called me back and asked me to text them the model number of the refrigerator. They said they would get to it later in the week. I called them back on Thursday and left a message. No return call. I called back on Friday and spoke to them they said they were currently working at someone's house and asked if they could call me back. No one called back. I sent a text and asked if they could please give me an update, no reply.

Made an appointment and told rhem I only had a 2 hour window, Waited 21/2 hours and called. No answer. Called again 45 mins later no answer. I left two messages and never heard back from them. 4 hours I wasn't at work and not even an explanation let alone an apology. Stay well away.

He was a pleasant and knowledgeable.

Great! Vic told my husband over the phone that he probably knew what the problem was. He came right away (which was so appreciated on a Saturday). He did indeed know the problem, fixed it quickly, and was on his way.

Vic called me back and I explained the problem and added that I had done an extra large load of wash the previous week. He told me to try washing another, smaller load to see if the leak reappeared. I did that, and saw no additional water. His advice was great, and there was no charge. He could have scheduled a service call, but he didn't. He's my hero! He even called me back to find out if the washer had leaked again.

On the first visit, he was able to get the frig to cool, but said it might need a new part, a sensor and that he would go ahead and order it so that it would be available if I needed it. A couple weeks later the cooling problem started again, so I called him. He said he didn't have the part yet, but would order it. He came out a couple days later, but had brought the wrong part. He came out again and put the new part it. It started cooling again, but now a month later, I am having the same problem. This is the third refrigerator full of food I have had to throw out. I think I will call someone else now.

Vic replaced the a thermostat on my freezer that went out. Took him about 30 min total time to replace part and replace covers on freezer. Our issues are he is Too Expensive and OVERCHARGED us for everything; part $25, he charged $65 and labor at $135. We understand he is a small business as we are too but We Will Not Overcharge our clients just because considering todays economic climate. Will never refer or use him again.

I was very impressed with Victor's expertise, speedy diagnosis and fix.

Replaced the compressor and another part on a side by side refrigerator. I expected the price to be a LOT more.. I felt the charges were VERY reasonable. He was also VERY FAST .. when I called he was on the other side of town. He took the information and in a couple of hours he showed up and made the repairs. I couldn't be happier! I would HIGHLY recommend Vic's and will DEFINITELY call Vic's again when I need large appliance service!! Thanks Angies List!!

This is the second time I have used Vic. He communicates clearly what the problem is, and he seems to give good advice.

We played phone tag for a bit, and then they ordered the part to my oven. When the part came in, they called me and we set up a time for the install. The install was quick and they were very professional.

Attempted to contact Vic's via schedueling button on a Saturday. I did not receive a response, so Tuesday I called around 1:30pm and left a voice mail leaving my wife's name and number to schedule a visit. I received a callback about an hour later but could not pick up because I was at work. My wife received no call. I called again Wednesday around the same time, leaving a similar message. Again, I got a callback at work. However, that evening my wife received a call from Vic's and she was able to schedule an apointment for 8am Thursday morning. Vic arived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem, and replaced the worn parts. In all, it took less than an hour to get the dryer fixed, and the price was reasonable.

He did not address the fact that it wasn't heating. He had to come back again. He fixed it for $200. I never got a receipt from him. So I won't be calling him again. Because this is a rental property, for my taxes, I needed a receipt, which I did not get. On 21st of December I wrote, "Need repair on something that drives the power because the motor will not run the engine so it is not heating." Then he said, "nobody ever told me that." It's documented on the website. He clearly didn't read what I sent him. He had to come back again. The repair was $290. I would have just bought a new dryer.

Vic showed up as discussed. He immediately looked at the problem, diagnosed it and repaired the faulty door switch on the dryer. He was courteous and professional throughout his time here. I recommend him as a diligent professional, providing service at a good price.

Vic was helpful and come to see the broken washer right away and knew the issue. However he had to come back once again after we thought the problem was fixed. But he did eventually fix the washer.

Called and scheduled an appointment for 12/17. I texted my address and Vic said he would call when he was on his way. I stayed home all day to wait for him. He never showed up or called to let me know he couldn't make it. Wasted my whole day.

Vic came on the exact time we talked before. He explained me everything, did everything all right and the service was perfect. Thank you!

Our freezer went out the night before I called Vic. We debated buying a new one or fixing this one. After checking prices for new ones we decided to find an appliance repair person. I called Vic around 3:30 and he was on the other side of town but his GPS told him he should be here around 30 minutes later. He arrived on time, asked me what was going on, pulled the fridge out and opened a panel in the back. He pulled out the main board (his words) and said he believed that was the problem. He went to his van and brought in a new one and replaced it. The freezer started running immediately. He wasn't talkative which was fine with me and it probably took him about 20 minutes total and he was gone. I fully expected to have to wait until the next day for someone to come out. He was prompt and quick in his repair. I did not check around for pricing so I don't know if the price is good or bad. I just wanted it fixed quickly and cheaper than a new one.

THIS GUY IS AWESOME!!! We woke up to a freezer full of thawed meat, warm refrigerator and big mess on the floor. I called Victor at 6:30 a.m. He returned my call by 7:45. He was knocking at my door by 9:30, and done by 10:00. Happy camper again! VERY professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem by phone, brought the part needed with him and go it right. Definitely adding this company to my favorites.

My ice maker was leaking water all over and I left a message on Sunday and he came first thing Monday morning. He was quick, did not overcharge me, fixed the problem and was gone in no time. I would definitely recommend him

I called his phone number and left a message., He got back to me within the hour. He said he would come out later that day. I asked him to call me before he came and let me know about what time. He did just as I asked and showed up to the house on time. I was not home but my wife was and she said he knew what he was doing and fixed the problem promptly. I thought his pricing was very reasonable. We would call Vic back next time we have a appliance problem.
