Toby Murray Inc.

We hired Toby Murray
Inc to remove popcorn ceiling and but up knock down, plus do some small
patches on drywall throughout the home. The home was a new conventional
purchase, so no furniture when job was to be completed. Mr Murray and
his crew arrived and did work on the days they said the would, however
they did not complete the work as specified on invoice and they left
other work incomplete. As is common with all other dry wall companies we
have spoken to since this mess taping off all walls, appliances, doors,
blinds, cabinets and fixtures should have been done. His invoice says
that he would do this. It was not done. Only some light fixtures had
been covered. Resulting in knock down(plaster) on every surface of the
home. Landing on the carpet, walls and every surface of the house. The
result of this shoddy work included two of us having to not go to our
jobs for an entire week, the flooring people who came to install the
wood floors, not removing carpet off the property and a bunch of work
and painting that had to get completed in a week for the house to be
habitable. When we arrived on property to inspect work the day before
the flooring crew came in we found a complete disaster. There was a very
large garbage can filled with mud and water in the middle of our living
room with big globs of wet plaster all over the carpet. The walls where
covered in knock down as where baseboards, blinds, window sills,
cabinets, doors, fixtures. I called Toby, who had not been paid yet and
told him that he and his crew needed to get over to the property and
complete the job! They came the next day, but could not do anything
more then help us remove the baseboard and clean some blinds. Toby
worked on an area that was not completed properly, removing 2 pieces of
dry wall, one in the ceiling and under that on the wall. The flooring
men where to remove the carpet but due to the weight and wetness they
could not. Toby stated he would come back the next day remove the
flooring and fix the hole. Never did
