Got a few estimates, but once I spoke to the salesman Kevin, I was sold. He couldn't be nicer or more professional. They were spot on, with the date they would be available, kept in touch to let me know when they would come to install, showed up exactly on time. Pleasant, professional, neat and didn't leave until they were sure I was happy. So, dealt with the salesman, the office and the installers and I give them all an A. I wish I could have this same experience with all contractors!

I had Mr. Hansen come out to the house and give an estimate. Mr. Hansen made it clear up front that his company primarily deals with shutters but offered vertical blinds and other window treatments for the convenience of his customers. As we needed work done to our wood shutters in the den, the favorable opinion of Mr. Hansen, and the number of positive reviews on Angie's List, we decided to go with Sunburst Shutters. When the installers came out in February 2014, it was discovered the track for the blinds for the sliding doors was broken and a new one would have to be ordered. The installation for the blinds for the dining room window went well except that the blinds did not appear to be evenly spaced and some of the "veins" were overlapping too much while a couple of others weren't overlapping enough causing openings. The installers indicated no knowledge of vertical blinds or how to adjust them, if they could be adjusted. The installers told me they would get with Mr. Hansen and they would order a new track for the sliding glass doors. Later the same day, I contacted Mr. Hansen and explained the issues and he advised he also did not know much about vertical blinds but would contact the manufacturer, Kirshner, and see what he could find out. For the next 3 or so weeks, I attempted to get in touch with Mr. Hansen however, he never called me back after leaving a number of messages. I finally sent an e-mail to which he responded apologizing for the lack of communication and response. We finally spoke on the phone and Mr. Hansen said he spoke with a representative of the manufacturer and he said it seemed like they needed to order a different size track to fix the spacing issue with the blinds. Mr. Hansen gave us the option of continuing the project with his company or going with another company and not having to pay the remaining cost for the blinds. We elected to continue with Sunburst Shutters. On April 10, 2014, the new track and blinds were installed and everything was just fine. We have had the new blinds in for less than a week but they are working well so far. Additionally, the repairs made to our shutters was quick and easy and worked great. I would say that Mr. Hansen and Sunburst Shutters is an excellent company to deal with despite the period of unresponsiveness. However, I would hesitate to recommend them if you are considering vertical blinds or any other window treatment besides shutters. I did appreciate Mr. Hansen warning us up front that they did not deal with vertical blinds on a frequent basis. However, as I told Mr. Hansen, if his company is going to offer blinds as a product, someone in his company should be familiar with vertical blinds and be able to assist with any issues or questions that may come up with them. I appreciated Mr. Hansen's offer to allow us to go with another company. After sending the e-mail when Mr. Hansen was not responding, Mr. Hansen was apologetic and was able to solve the problem and, as I said, we are happy with the results although it has only been less than a week.

My appointment was set for 800-830. I received a call from the technician saying that he was going to be a little late, and that was fine. when the technician arrived he told me that he did not know that I wanted panel tracks and that he could not give me a price all he could do was measure my windows. I actually didn't appreciate the way he said it to me, like I had did something wrong. I politely put him out of my home. I will never do business with this company again.

We love our new shutters. Our Sales Rep,Todd was on time and came equipped with samples and information that make our selection easy. His knowledge of the product and the time he took to explain the process was exceptional. He addressed all of our questions and concerns. We chose the polywood shutters in bright white for our living room and family room and they look amazing. They are easy to maintain and can be adjusted to let in the exact amount of light we want in the room. I love that the shutters are made in America. The time from the initial order to installation was about 5 weeks. The installation team was quick and efficient and the shutters fit like a glove. Since most of the detail work is done in the factory the installation took about 1/2 hour from start to finish. We love the shutters so much we have placed an additional order for our 2 bedrooms, and hope to complete the third bedroom and bathrooms by the end of the year. I highly recommend Sunburst Shutters.

Outstanding quality and service. Remember, you get what you pay for and their end product is outstanding. Don't forget to ask them about their bone-yard shutters. Same quality but cheaper price and you may have to accept whatever style they have available.

They were very professional and they were able to guide me on the best option for my home. He showed me on his computer what it would look like. We did a smaller area at the top where they can be opened for minimal light if needed. The shutters are called poly wood. The sales representative did a very good job and we were satisfied.

They are fabulous and have been here twice in the past; they are just quality. They subcontracted with Lowe's on the first job they did with us; then we began contacting them direct to come out for additional work. This company is professional; one man can get the shutters in so fast; the installers know exactly what they are doing. They come out and measure everything and then the installer is done before you can blink an eye.

4 weeks to custom build and 4 hours to install. Highly recommend.

They installed shutters at my reqest , for a friend of mine. He had three windows done at first due to budget constraints. However, he like the look so much that he completed the windows in the rest of the home. They were very professional and the quality of workmanship was great.

I saw a newspaper advertisement and called about shutters pictured in it. Janet was very helpful but at first reluctant to send someone to my zip code. However, when time came for appointment the sales representative, John, was very prompt and knowledgeable about the product. The shutters took over a month to complete but they are beautiful! The installer Ben was very professional and courteous. The installation time had to be changed but they were kind enough to call; not just not show up! Although the shutters are a bit pricey, I would order from them again because of their service and the product warranty.
