If you use Steppi Roofing to replace your roof, plan to pay about $3000 extra to fix the damage they will cause to your home and pool. Prior to remodelling my home, our roof did not leak. After Steppi put on new shingles, for cosmetic reasons only, the roof has leaked. During installation Steppe Roofing dropped many, many nails into my pool, which quickly rusted and caused permanent damage to my pool. I paid $800 for stain removal but many of the nail marks could not be removed. When i first saw the water marks on the ceiling and down the wall I called Steppi. They came out and said they fixed the problem. The roof continued to leak. Eventually the texturing on our brand new ceiling started to crack and separate from the drywall. Steppi came out again and again said they fixed the problem. The roof continued to leak. Next the texturing on the ceiling started to fall off exposing the bare drywall. I have called Steppi numerous times over the past 4 years and they have come out numerous times, each time telling me they fixed the leak -- until the next rain. I have watched helplessly as the damage to my beautiful brand new ceilings progressed. The drywall now has to be replaced. Steppi ripped out some of our expensive foam insulation trying to diagnose the problem. Each time i called Steppi, I was never given an exact appointment. It was always "when we are in the area we will stop by." Half the time they forgot completely until i called again. I feel that a professional company would have made it a priority to fix a roof that has been leaking for 4 years, not just something they would take care of at at their convenience the way Steppi did. I called them again this past October. Again I was told Al would stop by sometime next week. Again Al forgot all about stopping by. It was obvious that Steppi was just trying to run out their 5 year warranty. Finally we decided to call someone else to fix the roof. That company diagnosed the problem immediately, without ripping out our foam insulation. Instead of putting pathetic little patches on the roof like Steppi did, they removed and replaced the entire section that was leaking. When the roof was installed Steppi did not replace the flashing, but instead poked holes in the existing flashing causing it to leak. Steppi Roofing was always very polite and courteous on the phone but they are all talk, no action. My husband and I discussed suing Steppi but life is too short. Just know that this is a company that does not stand by their workmanship, and their workmanship is poor.

Rick and his crew are absolutely outstanding! We replaced our roof several years ago with another company (because they were a little less expensive than Steppi at that time) and I went with the and quot;low cost providerand quot;. BAD CHOICE! This time, we used the Steppi gang and the results are markedly different. Rick found several areas that needed attention - including a very severly damaged chimney and fixed them - they even made a new chimney cap in hte process. Because we were in the middle of a remodel, Rick applieda temporary covering for the part of the house adjacent to the addition until the time came to finish the rest of the roof............. I was a bit nervous; but, after several downpours, we were still dry nside........... When the time came, the roof was finished completely. Then they did our childrens' home - with the same care and concern for and quot;doing things the right wayand quot;

We highly recommend the folks at Steppi Roofing. Mary and Albert Steppi and their crew were prompt in responding to every question and they kept us up to date as the work progressed. They arrived on the date scheduled and came in on budget as estimated. They had supervisors on site at all times and cleanup was very thorough. We also greatly appreciated the valuable information on their website for what to expect of a roofing estimate and work done.

We had an old roof that was in dire need of cleaning and painting. We received several quotes and wanted to go with a roof ing company versus a painting company to complete the job. Steppi Roofing (Vern) cleaned the roof, replaced damaged tiles and painted our tile roof. The roof looks brand new and it made a huge impact on the overall appearance of the house. They were very professional and punctual. The daily site clean up was fantastic. After selecting a color for the roof they initially tested it on a small area to see if we were sure-- I am glad they did, since we ended up selecting a different color. The final outcome was superb! Excellent Company A++!

About 8 years ago Mr Steppi replaced entire tile roof on historic home for me after damage by a storm. They removed all tiles, stacked in the yard and totally rebuilt the roof using the old clay tiles. At that time the cost was $20,000+. When I had a problem with a gutter draining from the roof in 2011, I called them and they came out and fixed it.

They were very professional and really very nice. They were here when they said they were going to be here.

Did a good job, fixed the issue, I was very satisfied. Cost was a little higher than I thought because he needed to replace rotten wood. Other than that, great experience.
