STANLEY STEEMER

I been using Stanley Steemer in Oviedo for about 15 years, and in South Florida since 1980. For the last 7, I always had them clean just 3 rooms. They have a profile on the home, and know this. They quoted me $135 as usual when not running the $99 special. Of course they always try to upcharge with deodorizer, and other things I usually refuse. When they came, the crew leader mumbled something about one room being large, never making eye contact with me. I agree, it is large, but the other room is average, and the third extremely small especially since the king sized water bed is not moved or cleaned under. It has always been like this. The rooms did not get bigger. He said $165, not $135. I said I was told $135, and have never paid more and he should honor the quote. I called the company back and was told there was a "policy changed" with the new ownership. Anyroom over 300sf is extra. I said "what about the room with about 100 sf of carpet? Either you charge by the room or sq. foot, not whichever is greater depending on the room size." I said that should have been told to me while scheduling, and not told $135. The rep. agreed and said she will talk to her supervisor. I said do not bother. I do not do business with companies that bait and switch. The irony is that I always give a $20 tip. I just could have said ok, not tipped, and it would have been only $10 more. It's not the $ we are talking about here, its honesty and reputability. A well run company would have given the rep. the ability to use some common sense and not let a loyal customer go for $30 bucks! I'm paying another company $175 tomorrow, I will never use SS again even if they offered a free cleaning to make up for what they did as I do not deal with unscrupulous, greedy companies that will not honor their quote.

They didn't do a great job. They just didn't get the dirt out. They told me its a cloth sofa, which seemed like be easy to get the dirt out, but it wasn't. They didn't get the dirt out.

They were so much more expensive. We started with a $75 on some sort of special and by the time we got through, it was $400. It was excellent. It's the first time I have had my floors done in 20 years. I will have to give them credit.

They came out to steam clean the interior of my cars; they just didn't do a very good job. They pretty much lied to me and said the pressure inside and outside the house is two different pressures and they just didn't do a good job.

Assured stains would come out. Assured wear would be drastically improved. Was talked into allowing them to "seal grout" for "free". Did not realize I was paying them $99 to clean grout. Didn't end up paying that because I was mislead. Also they didn't really even clean the grout.

They do a good job. I would use them again.

They were not from this area I guess. A different Stanley Steemer had to come because the ones in my area don't do the air ducts. Their corporate office was out of Orange/Osceola. They didn't come from Brevard County because once they got here I asked about some additional items and they were kind of like, "Oh well you know." I just think the person didn't really feel like doing extra stuff. Then, when they left, one of my vents - because they took them all apart - was not screwed back on. In my son's room, it had a clickety-clackety noise, I guess because the vent hadn't been put back on correctly or all the way or screwed in correctly or whatever. So I had someone come and take care of that for me.

I have tried other carpet cleaners and I keep coming back to Stanley. Their price is competitive and they get the job done. One thing I think I like best about Stanley is they always send a 2 person team. I don't need a lot of furniture moved away from the wall and I try to prepare for their visit as much as I can but honestly, it is a 2 person job to do it right and quickly and I appreciate that.

I thought it was overpriced and didn't end up using them

Cleansers arrived on time, were very professional, and personable. They took the time to explain everything they would be doing and asked if we had any questions or concerns. When they finished they explained how and how long to let the carpet finish drying and what steps to take to keep it even cleaner in the future.

Cleaned well. Good results.

They were very nice and answered all my questions. They did a great job. They were good; they were better than the other one or I have used the other one; they are both great. The price is great and the quality is great. They were fine. I've used them in the past before but it's been a long time since I've used them.

These guys in particular were great. I had an overall good experience. The carpets look nice and the job was done in a reasonable amount of time. The one problem I had was the surprise and quot;we can't move bridgesand quot; referring to furniture that connects two column type pieces of furniture. There were 2, one on the bedroom and an entertainment center. The bedroom one was fine it was light weight and one of the guys and quot;assistedand quot; with it. The entertainment center was very heavy and large. I had only me and my disabled child ( he is a young adult but has use of one arm only ) to help. There were several problems getting the bridge loose and my son had to hold one end and it was just difficult and dangerous to both of us. I would have really like to have known about this prior to the appointment when I had additional help. These are fairly common types of furniture and it should not be hard to let people know. It may have been on their website or their followup email but it should not be hard to let people know in a more direct way. Like I said though; The company had a good reputation. The franchise seems to be well run and they do good efficient work. I am very happy in all other aspects of the job.

My carpet is not new but when Sean and Miguel finished, it sure looks new. It is clean, sanitized and fluffy. They were both courteous, professional, knew their equipment, and got the job done in a timely manner. Job well done.

It was an excellent service! They were able to come out right away later on the same day the previous company had been to our house. They cleaned the carpets without issues or problems and the most important thing was that they were able to get rid of the awful bug spray smell! We will definelty use them again. They might cost more than other lone carpet cleaning professionals, but then again you certainly pay for what you get! Thanks you Stanley Steemer :)

They did a really good job my daughter had gotten sick and the odor was still in the cushion so they came back and recleaned the area again the next day and it is just like new.

I had them clean my microfiber couch which I was able to book an appointment online. They were punctually and did the service promptly. I would say they did a good job but, not excellent. I say not excellent because I don't think the results were much different than if I had used my Bissel pet spot. My couch was dried within an hour which makes me wonder how deep the clean actually was. One of the carpet cleaners asked to use my bathroom. I didn't think this was professional because I already don't like strangers in my house and my bathroom is my personal space.

The carpets are a little old so I didn't really expect every stain to come out and they do look a little better. What annoys me is they sell additional services. I paid for a carpet protector and a carpet deodorizer. They didn't perform any extra steps. The guy said it is all done at once. I honestly don't believe that they did anything extra. The carpets don't look like they have a extra coating and how can you steam clean and protect at the same time. The cleaning was $150 and the and quot;extraand quot; services were $70 so as a percentage it was quite a bit extra. I won't use them again.

I do believe that Stanley Steemer does a good job, uses quality material, and hires good people. But they are on the expensive side, and they are taught to and quot;upselland quot; you. That bugs me more than anything. Once I have been quoted a price and chosen my services, then I want to write that amount on the check and be done with it. But this is not new, they have always done it. I just have to be firm every time that, NO, I don't want my orientals cleaned by you. Unfortunately, I have used other providers as well, and they all do this.

What I like about them is that we had a coiuple of spots on the carpet return, and they promptly returned and took care of it. I would definetly call them again.

The carpet in my apartment is not of the best quality and stains easily, but it was spotless when Stanley Steemer left. They were prompt, polite, and took good care of my furniture.

Everything went well. They charged extra (over normal, advertised per-room price) for a large room--fair enough. They also could not completely remove some old stains, and pointed out how some other cleaner I had applied was foaming up some when they went over it.

Everything went really well. I would recommend them.

Stanley Steemer has done some good work for me in the past. However, this time the carpet cleaning results were marginable, and they attributed the poor results to the carpet being and quot;an old carpetand quot;. The carpet is only six years old so don't really know what to make of it.

The person called me in advanceto confirm the nextday appointment. He also call 1/2 hour prior to arriving. He was very friendly and polite. The work was excellent. He got out some spots that I did not think would come out. We will definitely use him again.
