We were thoroughly impressed by Sergio and his team. The quality of their work was demonstrated throuhout the project. From the cleaning of our exterior walls, to pre-painting prep, to the final touch-ups, it was easy to see that Sergio's team takes pride in their work. I can honestly say that I wasn't sure that painting our house would make such a difference. However, we are very pleased with the results and quite honestly surprised at how great our house looks and the big difference it has made. To quote my wife when she texted me after it was done: "The house looks fantastic! Worth spending the money to have it nicely done."

Very strange - I chose this Painter based on the great reviews. But for this prepaid Deal, something was fishy. What happened? I expected a painted house...But no... Painter’s False Advertising, or Breach of Contract??? Senior Citizens Buyer Beware! How does Angie’s List allow this type of practice!? Here is a short history and the facts about my first meeting to start redeeming the purchased Deal with this contractor, SB Professional Painting Inc. The surface area of painting that I needed was 1,810 square feet as measured on surfaces of a simple one-story house. I purchased the advertised Deal described: “$1599.00 for up to 2,000 square feet of exterior surface area on one- or two-story house” with included preparations, sealer, and paints. Deal Advertised as: Original Price: $2,800. Discount: 43% Okay, that sounded fair. So, I paid. Received a PAID receipt with Coupon Code. (Isn’t that a “contract?”) Everything is perfectly clear in plain English. Seemed quite straight-forward. For initial meeting, contractor Sergio Betanzo, SB Professional Painting Inc., arrived on time and we started to walk the house perimeter. BEFORE even finishing the full walk around, Sergio quickly presented his cell phone with the screen showing the Orange County Property Appraiser (OCPA) website of my house with 2,247 square feet of Living Area, and Sergio said he would need to charge me more. I told Sergio that those numbers did not reflect the wall surface areas (less windows and doors) that I wanted to paint per his “Deal,” and I showed him the outline of one square foot on one of the walls to be sure he understood my request. He did. But to my surprise he still WASN’T INTERESTED IN DOING ANY WORK for the prepaid $1599.00 “Deal.” He wanted more. So, in an attempt to redeem a purchase going bad, I told Sergio to delete certain areas to arrive at the amount that he felt his “Deal” offered. The reduced surface areas of painting that I offered were a number of walls that then resulted in a paintable 1,440 square feet: That was MUCH less than 2,000 square feet PREPAID DEAL due to deleting these areas: Screened patio walls, solarium walls, chimney walls, and garage door. The house is a low wall, block construction ranch. Its last painting was done personally by me, so I had the dimensions and knew the full surface area that I purchased paint for: The total house was 1,810 square feet of paintable surface area. I was flabbergasted to see that Sergio again resorted to using the OCPA website Gross Area, and calculated my up-charge to a NEW TOTAL of approximately $3,000. (Hmmmm… That sounded close to his pre-discounted “Original Price” of $2,800. Where is the meaning and substance of the Angie’s List “Deal?” Sounds like Deceptive Advertising, or worse.) He did not make any effort to measure my building areas that I showed him needed painting. Painter contractor either pretended a language barrier or an ignorance of the exact wording of his Deal contract, but believe me, there were neither. He clearly knew what he was doing: Contractor Sergio said he had to upcharge me for the "square footage of the house" as published on the OCPA website versus the actual square footage of exterior surface area that I showed him to paint, resulting in a near doubling of the price. I told him he made no sense. He said he has to make money. Enough said. Why would any trusting Consumer purchase an Angie's List deal that a contractor will not honor? This probably merits presenting to one of the local TV consumer advocate programs.

This rating is for Sergio Betanzo (SB Professional Painting., Inc.) company of Orlando Florida, this is my first review in Angie’s list and I don’t typically write a review unless I am very impressed, and wholeheartedly I have to say that SB Professional Painting has impressed me very much. The scope of the work was to paint external/outside house (Body, Trim, garage, chimney, entrance side walk, and doors) and in addition, the pool deck. I received a few quotes (4 total), and I am convinced you pay for what you get. Sergio’s price was reasonable and really good given all the high quality products. As an example, he uses loxon conditioner, elastomeric compound, and the Sherwin Williams brand paints (Super Paint, Resilience, and Duration). Sergio is very honest, what he says he does. Most contractors would just cover up. My entrance door had a little bit of rust, he pointed out the rust, and utilized rust compound/primer control, sand it down, and added a few more years of life in my door. Another example, the previous home owners had done some upgrades and painted the pool deck, they used silicon for the floor joints. Any contractor would’ve just painted over the silicon compound. Sergio went ahead and removed those silicon compound and replace with appropriate caulking compound. This was an unforeseen event, and they spent a while trying to remove the silicon in order to get the right compound to paint over. They showed me and it was laborious without charging me extra. In addition, when he gave me a firm fix price he accounted for fixed number of gallons, he realized he was a gallon short. Most contractors would just extend the life of the remaining gallon without applying the proper coating. He went out and purchased the product and didn’t charge me. For one day, I left the house unattended, the whole day with access, and he was very responsible, appropriately covered all windows, cars, etc. I highly recommend Sergio (SB Professional Painting). He is certified and licensed. He started the business at age 13, and of the first houses he painted was mine back in 1997 when the house was built. Great to see him back after all these years full circle. Big corporations like Centex and Ryland hired his services. He has more than 16 years in the business in both commercial and residential. In conclusion, is hard work, high quality, utmost integrity, and honesty are reasons why I highly recommend Mr. Sergio Betanzo (SB Professional Painting) for your painting needs, external and internal, residential or commercial.

This provider did not provide services to me. I had sent a message asking for times to setup a quote on a large project at my house. This was the only response "Sorry, I'm busy" NOT very professional.

He was very meticulous, making sure that we we were 100% satisfied. We were so pleased. He and his crew were very friendly, and he was super easy to work with. We will be using SB Professional for our exterior paint job next. I can't wait to see those results!

He was wonderful. I cannot say more wonderful things about Sergio and his crew. They were very meticulous and precise. They were always on time and we are very happy with the service. I have never dealt with a company that was so meticulous and caring.

I could not be happier with how our home looks. The professionalism demonstrated was above reproach. They were prompt, cheerful and courteous. They used the highest quality of paint and other materials which was apparent in their work. Their attention to detail was obvious and much appreciated. Any questions I may have had were always answered in a timely manner. We had a rain delay and they had no problem coming back on a Sunday morning to complete the job, which I greatly appreciated. This showed me that they put the customer first. They cleaned up after themselves and left the property as they found it. They exceeded my expectations on every level. I would gladly use this company again and will refer them to anyone who asks. An A+ company hands down.

The owner Sergio came to give us an estimate on the painting of our home because we knew that our home had more square footage than the ad advertised. I loved the fact that he came on time, was very professional and was very fair in the price he quoted us. Once we agreed on the price he immediately started the job by power washing our home. The job was then completed in 2 days! Sergio went above and beyond, we could not be happier with his work. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing to have their home painted, you won't be sorry!

Excellent job. Contact was near immediate. He come to survey the job and we worked out the balance based on the extra work I was asking for. Even with the rain this past week, finished all work within a week. I will hire him again.

The gazebo is old and had lots of damage. The work was excellent. I really wasn't expecting it to turn out so well. Sergio and his crew were on time, did the work quickly and neatly.

SB Professional Painting is EXCELLENT! SB Professional Painting is a very honest and hardworking contractor. Sergio and his team painted the interior of my house. They did an amazing job helping me move and organize all my paintings, photo albums, furniture, etc. so they could move, cover, and protect all my furniture and floors. They were very prompt and professional. The work they performed was excellent. They repaired and resurfaced drywall (and seams) that had been damaged due to age. Sergio bought the paint (with savings) and gave me the receipts so that I received his savings. They helped me clean areas that I could not reach! After the painting was done, my husband and I decided that we did not like the color we had chosen for our fireplace. Even though they were working on painting doors, baseboards, and trim, Sergio and his crew repainted it without complaints. Sergio and his crew also went above and beyond what I hired them to do. I had some trim in my patio ceiling that was falling and Sergio brought his nail gun and fixed that for me. When I stepped onto the patio, they had not only nailed the piece that had fallen, but they were going around my patio nailing any possible problem areas. They also sanded and painted my front door and the doors of the rooms that were not painted (not included in the estimate). Every night before they left, Sergio and his team picked everything up, swept, and cleaned any area that they worked. When the work was completed, they helped my hang the paintings back up They even placed all my things on the top of my cabinets and my high shelves so my husband and I would not have to do it. I highly recommend Sergio and SB Professional Painting. Their price is very reasonable, they are honest, and they are very courteous and have excellent manners. I can?t wait for them to paint the exterior of my house.

FANTASTIC!! Sergio was professional, punctual and responsive. He gave me an extremely fair price and backed it up by doing a quality job. He and his crew arrived on time, worked long days (including Sat and Easter Sunday!) and finished the job promptly. It looked like a new home when they were done. Sergio and his crew did such good work that I have asked him now to give me an estimate for doing the exterior of the same house. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

I had called several painters around the area to setup appointments. Sergio was the only one that showed up on time, some others didn't even show up. After talking to Sergio for a few minutes I knew that I would use him to paint the exterior of my home. We picked a day he would start and he showed up right on time and ready to go. Sergio and his team did an amazing job painting the home. Because we live near a lake we get lake flies and Sergio stopped painting and said he would only paint when the flies would be gone. We had to wait about 3 days and then Sergio came back to finish up. I was very impressed that he cared enough to stop and not just continue to get the job done. The home came out flawless, I walked around a few times and I could not see any issues. Sergio really take pride in what he does and it shows. I would highly recommend SB Professional Painting to anyone.

Sergio and his team were outstanding. They were always on time and professional. They painted about 90% of the interior and they did an amazing job. They would clean up and walk around the house to make sure everything was perfect after finishing for the day. The interior never looked so good. Great service!!

Sergio did a great job, and he was professional and courteous and communicative, which I really appreciated. He painted the entire interior of the condo, including the doors and trim. It looked brand new! I was able to leave him with a key so he could come and go as he needed to and he was completely reliable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend Sergio and his work.

,I called Sergio about a paint job that we needed completed within the week. He agreed to come out and give me an estimate the following day. I admit I wasn't sure he would actually show up because I had already attempted to get estimates from three other painters who left me hanging. This meant that now I had very little time left, but Sergio did show up and gave me a very reasonable price for an 11' x 14' bedroom. This included prepping the walls, sanding the baseboards, painting the walls with color, and painting the baseboards white. We agreed on a day and time, and just as we had planned, he arrived at 8:30am with his crew and materials. Sergio made sure his crew stayed on task, and that they were respectful of my home. At 1:00pm the job was completely finished. They did a beautiful job, so much so, that we plan to use Sergio and his crew for two more rooms and the hallway. One example of how Sergio goes "above and beyond" had to do with our windows. When he noticed the weatherproofing we had at the base of one window, he re-caulked all the windows in the room. I made a point to check the trim work; the cut-ins and edging were sharp and well done. Sergio is kind, honest, and hard working. You won't be disappointed if you hire him

Service was clean, efficient, started on time and finished ahead of projections. Clean-up was complete, cut in painting was excellent. He has done work at other friends since our house and they have been very satisfied. Sometimes contractors are messy, don't provide the service they quoted, are late and always seem to have excuses. That NEVER happened with Sergio's painting.

Sergio waterproofed an area of my condominium bedroom wall that was remediated due to water intrusion / mold. An area of the block wall was exposed and I wanted it waterproofed to avoid further water intrusion that may occur before the source of the leak is fixed. Sergio came out right away to assess the situation so that he would be sure to use the best product for this situation. Sergio prepped and applied the product Xypex Concentrate. Sergio was always on time and came out multiple times to adhere to the application specifications of this particular product. I will call Sergio in the future should I need any of the services he provides. He is licensed and insured and does an outstanding job. Sergio was also very accommodating due to my work schedule. I am very pleased by the excellent job Sergio - SB Professional Painting, Inc. performed. Thank you Sergio!

Let me begin by saying that SB Professional Painting is one of the best contractors, in any category, that I have ever encountered on Angie's List or anywere else. The owner, Sergio, was on the job every single day making sure everthing was done properly. The Company painted the entire exterior of my two story home and repaired and painted my garage ceiling (The original builder did not secure the drywall properly and Sergio had to first fix, resurface and then paint the ceiling.) You will not be disappointed by the work done by this outstanding company. First, Sergio was prompt, courteous and honest throughout the process. The Company spent the first couple of days preparing the surface, pressure washing, repairing cracks in the stucco and taping off all non-painted surfaces. The preparation was extremely thorough and professoinal. Sergio even replaced some rotted particle board trim on the house with treated wood. I electd to use Sherwin Williams "Duration" paint. Sergio gave me the option of purchasing the paint myself or have him buy the paint. Again, no hidden surprises or bait and switches. Not only did Sergio and SB Professional Painting complete the job as promised, he even offered to come back at no extra charge to do some touch-up painting after an unnamed window company finsihed replacing sliders that were improperly ordered and installed prior to the start of the painting project. As you can tell from this review, I am THRILLED with the finished product. I am extremely demanding and particular when it comes to work performed on my home. I can honestly say I did not have to make a single suggestion or complaint durig the entire painting of my home. As you might expect, the cleanup was equally impressive. I cannot thank Sergio and SB Professional Painting, Inc., enought for the outstanding job they did for me and my family. I HIGHLY recommend this painting company to any Angie's List member.
