When we called Sabrina’s Window Cleaning service to set up the appointment for October 10th, “Amanda” quoted a full-service price of between $209-$259 for our 2-story, 3300 sq. foot house. When their window cleaner arrived and counted the number of windows, we agreed on a price of $229 to do all the windows inside and out (which included the $10 Angie’s List coupon). I was unsure if we should wait and have them done another day since we were expecting winds and heavy rain due to the outer bands of Hurricane Michael. He assured me the windows wouldn’t streak, and encouraged me to have them done today. He was here just shy of two hours – started with the outside windows first. We have multiple security cameras and I could see he was working on each window so that wasn’t an issue. About 45 minutes into the job I told him I’d like to inspect the work with him before he left and he agreed. He asked if I’d seen something I wasn’t happy with so far. When I pointed out a couple of small droplets of paint here and there, especially on the balcony windows, he didn’t try and get them off because he didn’t have a razor blade with him. Told him I should think that would be part of his standard equipment. I got one of our razor blades and he did a couple spots, and I did the removal of paint myself on the other windows I was able to reach. When I asked about the milky film on a some of them he said it was calcium and it doesn’t come off. It started to rain during the last half of his cleaning so, in the end, I could no longer point out spots I felt needed more work or appeared not to be cleaned. He was a nice fellow – when he presented the invoice, I told him I was not satisfied with the job and wouldn’t be using them again or recommending them to anyone else. He took my credit card and called his office to put the charges through, and while he was waiting for confirmation, he said he was sorry I wasn’t satisfied --- when I called to make the appointment he said “Amanda” should have mentioned they have a basic service and a full-service. However, when she quoted a full-service price to me, she did not mention they have two levels of service to choose from. Since he just sprayed the windows with a cleaning foam, squeegied the glass and then wiped up the residue with water from a bucket (I’m assuming it was just water) we felt we could have done a better job ourselves and saved a couple hundred dollars. After he left, I found white clips on the ground and on the garage roof – we assume they came off the screens when he removed them. This was disappointing to us as well.
