I am holding my final review to see if Roof Top Services live up to their rating. I picked them for their rating and they had the services I needed. GacoFlex silicone coating was put on patio roof,which also covers part of master bedroom in July. September 2nd we developed a leak in master bedroom, above area that was sealed.Since this was Labor Day weekend I did not call until Tuesday 4th. I was told someone would call back, which never happened. Wednesday called again and I was transferred to Debbie who had my file but could not say when they could have someone come out to look at this. She would ask someone else to see if they could free up someone to come over to take a quick look.They were very busy. No call back no one showed up. I gave them Thursday without calling hoping they would contact me. Called again Friday, left message for Debbie,no response. She was out of office. Called back in afternoon,Debbie had just got back but was nowhere to be found. Left another message. Monday the 10th someone else contacted me to let me know someone would be out to evaluate the leak on Thursday 14th. On Wednesday the 13th the employee who originally applied the coating showed up at 1:30pm with a different coating to seal the seams in the patio roof. It was determined that small pinholes along the seams did not dry properly therefor water could seep through these areas. I am happy that this was resolved and no one was ever rude to me. I thought that since they repaired my roof with a warranty that it would not take over a week to get it fixed. Thankfully it only rained briefly in that time frame. Also there was never any mention to repair the ceiling which developed the leak. The people are nice enough but the service , I feel, was not done in a timely manner.

From start to finish RTS provided excellent customer service and workmanship with a great final product. The estimator met with the insurance adjuster to make sure all hail damage was identified and documented. The job was scheduled and completed on time. The job site was kept neat and clean throughout the job. RTS used specialists to remove and replace the solar heater and gutters. It was a pleasure working with RTS and highly recommend this company.

As a home owner, having your roof re done is a scary proposition. It is vitally important that a good job is done, it's very expensive and there are tons of horror stories about bad companies. Who do you trust? First, being an Angie's list member means you care about who does the work and testimonials like this one are weighed more heavily. In reading testimonials though, I often wonder whether or not they a planted to make them look good. I assure you this one is not. I interviewed and got a number of bids. Roof Top Services was not the cheapest on the list, however within the first minute of talking with them, they showed concern about my needs and honest. Then I met them at the house for an estimate, The sales person/estimator named Shane was very nice and did not seem like a sales person like every other company I interviewed. The truck he arrived in looked good, not some beat up old pick up truck, he explained and answered all my questions and concerns in a believable way. NO fast talking are chat about deals, just about how they feel the job needs to be done and done the right way. He explained his recommendations on services and told me the honest difference between them and the other options. No up selling at all. I could make that choice. I got a written proposal on the spot. The proposal was very well documented and you could see all the different option of services they offered on the form. So in reviewing the proposal I could weigh those options and understand them better. They were always responsive to all my questions prior to hiring. This did not change after I hired them, which made me fell really good about my decision. They showed up on time and if I had any concerns along the way they addressed them timely. The actual owner of the company was there, not the whole time, which I wouldn't expect, but daily and was willing to meet me at anytime to go over anything. They finished the job on time and didn't even ask for payment for a few days. They first made sure my warranties were registered with the manufacturer, inspections where done and filed and the owner did a final walk through with me to ensure I was happy and triple checked the job to make sure it was done correctly down to every nail. In summation, I felt like they were as concerned about the roof job as much as I was, like it was their own house. They weren't interested in doing the job in anyway but the right way. They weren't interested in being the cheapest only the best. They were a part of my renovation team and not just a contractor. For these reasons, I highly recommend Roof top Services and I hope this testimonial will help others in trying to find a solid company to work on their roof so they won't have to go through all the fears I had the moment i knew I needed a new roof. I had been told by other contractors that my roof had about one year left before I could expect leaks so I was casually looking for roofers. Recently, a very particular, meticulous neighbor engaged Roof Top Services, so I too checked them out pretty thoroughly. Without fail, the owners and everyone else with whom I had any dealings were polite, patient and clear and exact in their responses. And no sales pitch or pressure. Everything they said they would do, they did ... and more. I was happy to see that all of my landscaping was covered to avoid being hit by falling roof materials. I also understand that their crews are mostly long-time employees, not just temporary workers hired for a job. The owners also had to deal with my bank's demands for certain paperwork, which was not part of their customary procedure, but they did it without any fuss. I have a beautiful, long-lasting roof and two new clear skylights, all skillfully installed. And their warranty is the best!

Everything turned out pretty good. I haven't had any complaints from the tenants on it.

The price was the most affordable but that was not why we selected Roof Top. They showed up on time and delivered service when they said they would. Estimate showed up on time, the repair team showed up on time and it was completed in a day. They cleaned up completely -- you would never know they were there. They were friendly and professional. We were extrememly happy with their service.

They were outstanding. All of the workers were courteous, and it was a great experience overall.

I called Angie's List for feedback on rooftops. They came in on budget, did not deviate, and completed the job on time. They were very responsive, and professional. I would definitely use them again.

The installer was professional, efficient, careful around my garden, and the finished product dresses up the roofline nicely. I delayed submitting this report until I had time to observe the effectiveness of the new gutters installed in late January by Roof Top: the gutters are performing like champs! No longer do I have puddles (or mildew) on my front and back patios. I can stand under the eaves when it rains and not get wet - and not have to wade through puddles either. But this is what gutters do. What Norman Wingate of Roof Top Services did goes beyond a good installation of a good product. He helped me in two important ways: (a) he educated me about gutters and saved me money in the process and (b) he helped me deal with my Homeowners Association, which wanted detailed specs in order to approve the installation. He was so patient with me, I can recommend him to anyone replacing or installing gutters for the first time.

They did not seem polite and I never heard back from them with the estimate.

We hired this company in August of 2007 to locate and fix leaks we were having in our roof. They explained our skylights (5 of them) were old and needed replacing. We hired them to do the work; it was completed and they gave us a 3 month workmanship warranty. A year later, during Tropical Storm Fay, we experienced significant leaking around 3 of the 5 skylights. We had Roof Top Services come out again to look at the problem and the estimator explained the flashing around the skylights was old and needed replacing. I asked him why the flashing wasn't replaced the previous year when the skylights were replaced by Roof Top Services and he told me he couldn't answer that and estimated it would cost us another $1200.00 to fix our current problem, as they have to remove the skylights, and replace the flashing and reinstall the skylights. After getting 2 other roofers out to look at the problem, they believe that in addition to the flashing being old, the Roof Top Services installer may have damaged the flashing during the removal of the old shingles that were around the old skylights. We now have significant water damage in the house from all the water during TS Fay and have had to make an insurance claim for the damage.
