They originally installed and have been performing maintenance on my security system for 10 years. The gate has been very problematic. They hired another company to perform an estimate for the gate to be repaired. Protection1 wouldn't honor my warranty and pay for the repair. They have mostly been unresponsive.
Description of Work: They installed a front security gate and I have been having problems with it ever since. They aren't going to honor a warranty that I have and they expect me to pay $2800.

They talked to us about what we wanted and the options they had and we ended up purchasing it. The sales part was wonderful but the installers that came initially were not sure about what they were doing and were unable to install the systems properly. They had to call and get a more experienced technician. Since the installation I?m very, very disappointed as the remote control that they gave for the alarm system does not operate sometimes. They don?t acknowledge my calls; I have called the sales person. We also had problems with the billing, it was a mess. It almost took us 5 months to get the billing process corrected. In addition to the remote problem and the billing problem their sales person who was very personable initially has yet to return my calls and the phone calls started in November of last year. I?m very, very, very disappointed and I had a horribly bad experience with them.

I have been very satisfied with them. I have been using them for approximately 10 years. I have never had a problem with them. They come over to do their regular check-up and monitoring every three months. I pay them then.
Description of Work: They did some repairs on the sensors in the windows. It was quick and took them approximately 30 minutes. They had to replace a minor part to repair them.

Their customer service is fantastic! You can speak with someone about your service 24 hours 7 days a week. Their staff is super polite and professional. We can sleep safely now without worrying about a thing.
Description of Work: They did a conversion from AT&T to my new Bell South/Protection One system that allows you to have cellular backup. We have a monthly service agreement with them to monitor the lines 24/7 and perform general maintenance if required.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. IF WE ACCIDENTALLY SET THE ALARM OFF, THEY RESPOND WITHIN MINUTES. WE HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR YEARS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I GUESS WE WILL CONTINUE WITH THEM.
Description of Work: THEY ARE JUST OUR MONITORING SYSTEM FOR OUR DOORS AND WINDOWS. WE HAVE THE COVERAGE FOR WHEN FOR FIRES GO OFF, EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND INTRUDER RESPONSE.

It was a terrible experience. We paid the company for six years only to find out that they did not have proper information. When a situation occurred, they called the wrong number. The company refused to take responsibility and when we cancelled, they continued to harass us for payment.
Description of Work: We purchased an alarm system and paid for monthly monitoring services.
