When I told him I wanted my money back - he begged for me to come up with something else for his guys to do because he had already spent the money on "bills and paying his guys". Although I did not want him to come back to my house - we had to find something for him to do because I was never going to see my money again. We agreed for him to rescreen 7 panels in our enclosure over our pool. He brought a guy who worked for maybe an hour and then had to leave for an appt. He said he would be back the next day - I never saw him, but he did come back and replace one more panel. So far I have 3 panels replaced and when I called him last he said "my guy said he replaced the screens we talked about" and I told him his guy was lying - because all of my panels have a green tint to them from mildew and weather - and still had holes in them. He said he will send his guy back on a certain day. That day came and went, and I called Rob again. He told me he would be there the following day. He called the next morning to let me know he wouldn't be there when he told me he would, but that he would be there. His guy did finally come finish the panels but has done a very poor job - none of the screen is trimmed properly and not pulled tight. DO NOT LET THIS GUY in your house... and DO NOT AGREE TO ANY services! I am so disappointed in myself for trusting this guy! If you have been suckered by him - stay on him to come back and finish the job!
Description of Work: Rob came to my door and was soliciting "we do work for literally pennies on the dollar". He had done some work for my neighbor and asked if I had any projects I needed done. I told him I had one project I was considering - and that was redoing my fireplace. He immediately said - we can start tomorrow (red flag #1), quoted me a price and then asked for 50% down (but didn't need to buy any materials - it was just the demolition - red flag #2). Rob is a super fast talker but seemed like a nice and honest guy. He also went to school with a neighbor of mine and touted he has just done some work for them. I spoke to both of my neighbors and they were extremely unsatisfied with his services. He had not completed the job and they were having a tough time getting him to come back. I immediately called Rob and told him we were not moving forward and that I was stopping payment on my check - problem was he had immediately gone to the bank and cashed the check so I couldn't stop payment.

He came and did a little of the work and then I never saw him again. We talked on the phone and texted for the next 3 months. He kept apologizing and promising to come back and even went so far as to schedule a day. He never showed up and I stupidly kept giving him chances. No I have to sue the guy to get my money back. STAY AWAY!!!
Description of Work: The better question is, "what DIDN'T" the provider do"? This guy came to my door and begged for work. He used another homeowner in the neighborhood as a reference so I gave him a chance.. I had him do some repairs in the pool area and he didn't do too badly so I gave him some additional work. He insisted on being paid in advance (BIG MISTAKE)
