Horrible experience with OCC911. I had a house fire in August and I entrusted OCC911 to restore and repair my home. Nine months later and hardly nothing done. Failed remediation including smoke mitigation and moisture control in my home that has not had power since August. To date, there is still soot everywhere inside my home. Their lack of attention to the smoke damage and humidity control has resulted in further interior damage. As for repairs, nothing has been started. During demolition of my kitchen, they did not cap the supply lines, which resulted in flooding of the first floor and a subsequent water loss claim. They have denied any responsibility in this. After nine months, my home remains in an unlivable and compromised condition. Throughout this ordeal, OCC911 has displayed an unprofessional and uncooperative attitude when I have addressed these issues. Despite termination of their services, they have refused to return unused insurance claim money and unused out of pocket funds I provided to them. And have threatened me to take down my reviews or I will get no money back.

Horrible. Deplorable Business Practices. Thieves!!!! These folks are the epitome of word "Crooks". They hired our concrete masonry company as subcontractors on an insurance job after Hurricane Michael in Panama City FLorida. They nickeled and dimed the contract throughout the entire process. They paid us the first draw, we had to get the homeowners involved to get the second release and then they skipped town without paying any remaining due to us - to the tune of over $26,000. Allegedly - the other contractors were stiffed as well and the homeowners are still not in their residence - over a year later. RUN!!!! Run as fast as you can when these vultures show up. Slimy crooks, - James Cipri, Jason Barnett, Daniel Starr, and the biggest liar of them all Karrie Seymour!!! Consider yourself warned!!!

My parents are in their 70's. They hired this company and signed over insurance benefits to them. Their salesman promised the moon. It sounded like it would make everything easy for my parents because one company would handle everything. A job that should have been 6 weeks (that's what they were told) took almost a year. My parents were out of their house the entire time. (We even watched as an entire neighborhood was built right down the road from them in less time) The companies used to paint, repair and replace were substandard. Everything was removed from the house. My parents were told nothing would be discarded without her consent. In other words, if it was non-salvageable she would have say in whether it was discarded. Her memorabilia was discarded without her knowledge as were many other things that could have been salvaged. We spoke to the company about this on at least 5 different occasions and they kept telling us it was all packed. We knew it wasn’t because some of the things we pulled out of the dumpster ourselves. After unpacking these things were not recovered and there were things missing that were costly. There was worked that was not completed. The floors were to be grouted and sealed but it was not done. The money paid by the insurance for the floors was supposed to be credited to my mom but they only credited her half the amount they collected. The same happened with the money allotted for a huge mural that had been hand painted. She received credit for only half the amount the insurance allotted. There were issues with the appliances that is too lengthy to go into here. I had a meeting with the company owner to discuss the work not completed and the missing items. He acted like it would all be taken care of and was very pleasant until he realized the final check would not be handed over until it was settled. He threatened my parents with a lien for non-payment. I was there to settle this and make sure final payment was made. I had the check with me and told him I would follow him to the office to sign it over once his company wrote a check to my mom. There was no reason for such threats. In the end they credited my parents $500, far less than should have been. I was then sent an email claiming they would send this to their attorney if not paid in 5 days. We paid the balance even though it was not earned because it is too much on my parents to continue to drag it out. She did not want to be harassed any longer. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and especially anyone who is elderly and not able to stand up for themselves against aggressive measures.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel and repair from house fire
This is a follow-on review on my past two reviews. They were responsive in the beginning. They were very helpful in helping us figure out what needed to be done and what to expect. The end result was a really pretty house. The problem came after the house was completed. The HVAC (Century Air) company they use is suspect, especially if you use mini-split units (not the standard whole-house unit). The floor company (Regal Flooring) they use will not back up their work and cuts corners. I would hire them again with the caveat that any HVAC or flooring work would be accomplished by somebody else.
Description of Work: My house was destroyed by a fire. Orange County Construction were the general contractors that rebuilt my house.

My friends are not members of Angie's List. That said, I witnessed first hand this company and was asked if I might ADD a review. I was more than happy to do so! After a recent fire and the near devastation of my friends' home, the team from Orange County Construction (also known as OCC911.com) arrived on the scene and a highly capable Jason took command. He assured them that this was going to be alright and proceeded to arrange the securing of the property with a board up of exposed and damaged areas which might otherwise be exposed to the elements. A quote was provided and a time table as well. In all cases, the work, the integrity of the team, the craftsmanship, and the completion of the repairs was done above and beyond their expectations. If you check their website, they provide more testimonials than I've seen on other competing service companies. I had the privilege as well to visit them at their new offices recently and was most impressed at the commitment to excellence and quality in everything they do. I had the ability to meet owners Scott Cipri, Daniel Starr, Jason Barnett and others. This is a team who truly personifies integrity. I highly recommend them to anyone needed construction repairs as a result of any home emergency, fire, flood, water, smoke ... they do it all. This is the company that I will call and recommend to anyone who has a need.

Very well. The only weak link was the painting contractor. We had to point out many spots that needed to be painted again. The contractor took care of it immediately. The painting contractor also broke some landscape lights and disposed of them without telling us. We presume. They disappeared.
Description of Work: Replaced all windows, replaced all rotten wood, refaced stone trim, installed new gutters, painted house and trim.

Requested an estimate for the installation of a new entry door. We gave several ideas on the type of entry door. Skip was very helpful in suggesting a proper door. The door was ordered and installed by one of Skip's employees. The job was done in a professional manner and completed in a timely manner. The job site was cleaned up and all old materials removed.
Description of Work: Removed and installed a new entry door.
They did a terrific job on everything. The cabinet company they used installed the cabinets and quartz countertops on the same day. The cabinet company arrived early in the morning and began installing the cabinets. Meanwhile their workers set up a tent in the front yard and began working on the countertops which were installed once the cabinets were completed. They finished in less than 8 hours. Before the cabinets went in an electrician came to change out the lighting. Then a drywall specialist filled in the long holes to accommodate the can lights and matched the knockdown finish. The painter came and matched the paint so that it looks like it was always that way. Then the owner came to install the mosaic tile backsplash. Everything looks beautiful. The workers were all very nice and did excellent work. Real professionals. The only recommendation I would make to them would be to let customers know that there may be a lot of dust so the customers could cover items that may be affected. They did a very good job of covering things they worked near, but dust did travel into adjoining rooms. They did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves.
Description of Work: Replacement of kitchen cabinets and countertops. Installed backsplash. Removed fluorescent tube lighting and installed can lights in kitchen and bathrooms. Installed new under mount sink and new faucet and garbage disposal.

OCC provided general contractor services with a sub contract painting company and their employees sealed the grout throughout the house. OCC oversaw the job and was immediately responsive to every question and concern we had. Their concern for our home We appreciate Daniel and Scott's professionalism, (co-owners) and would certainly hire them again for any contracting needs. They have given us an estimate on a sunroom/screened porch which is a fair estimate for which we are budgeting.
Description of Work: We hired Orange County Construction to paint the entire interior of our new home, which is 2256 square feet. The builder did not offer any colors except three shades of off white so we hired OCC to paint the house the colors we wanted. We also hired them to seal all of the grout on all floors, kitchen backsplash, and bathroom tile surround/shower walls.
We have not one complaint and we highly recommend OCCC for any project.
Description of Work: We have hired Orange County Construction Company (OCCC) for several projects over a few years. These include granite countertops, ceramic tile flooring, interior and exterior painting of our entire house, repair of wood trim inside and out, drywall repair, and removal of florescent kitchen lighting and replacement with modern energy-saving recessed halogen lighting. We also obtained an estimate for a paver walkway and patio but decided to use our landscape architect only because both prices were about the same. Vice President Daniel Starr has personally overseen every project. His subcontractors are reliable, punctual, respectful, and top-notch in their specialties. Not one has ever been late or provided shoddy workmanship. Unlike many other contractors, OCCC kept in touch with us in every phase of each project and Daniel personally called to follow up after completion of each job to make sure his crews had performed to our satisfaction and had been courteous and respectful to both our home and to us. OCCC's prices are very competitive. We got bids from other contractors but couldn't beat Daniel's prices.
