+ 0 moreNot too well. Because I was charged by them and I was charged by Angie's List. I never heard of that before. Angie's List charged me $207 and the tree trimmer charged me $207, I didn't know that Angie's List charges. And I questioned it and I went to so many channels and everybody promised it would be taken care of now. Last week I called on another problem and they said that my account was private. The girl who took my call she wasn't too familiar with it, she told me they would give me three hours and, of course, she didn't know it was three man hours. When they came here they did it in one hour and they left, but she misunderstood three man hours for three hours. So it was completely snafued. She never told me about the charge by Angie's List that he would charge me so I would have never accepted it. I had to write two checks. I don't understand why I wrote a check and they came back and asked me to give them another check.
Description of Work: I used NCG Landscape and Lawn Maintenance for landscaping and tree services. They did some tree trimming around the house. The insurance company had a requirement that there are no limbs to hang over the house so they did the trimmings rather fast around the house. Then they took down the tree they said should come down and they took down the tree too.

+ -1 morearrived promptly and did a good job. When he came to survey the job we walked around the yard as I pointed out all that I wanted done. He took no notes. then when his crew came my son needed to convince the team that a large bush on the side of the house was to be trimmed. Took a little convincing but in the end they did it. In this day and age taking notes on an Ipad or taking pictures to provide the crew might be a good idea. Overall did a good job and I would recommend.

+ 2 moreIt turned out pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with what they charged for picking up plants, the mulch, the transportation and all that. They gave me some grief there. They charged me an additional $175. The extra charges that they put on were unreal. I can go to the store and pick up a plant and mulch and it would cost less than what he was charging me, but he wanted to charge me for the cost to take his truck down, the gas, and all that kind of work, and to me that is wrong. The workers were good, they did what they were supposed to do, and helped out a little. I would not use them unless they lowered the additional price.
Description of Work: They cleaned out an area outside my house, they took all the weeds out, they put a hibiscus tree for me, and replanted another one, they put some mulch down, and cleaned out a brick I had lining the landscape.

+ -1 moreThe company sent 3 workers out which naturally cut the 3 hours to 1 hour. I was okay with that. They got to work immediately and coordinated a work plan. They got through a tremendous amount of overgrowth - weeds, brush, low tree limbs & nuisance vines. It was an area in our backyard that had overgrown the past several years. I paid extra for the clean up, but it was well worth it. When they finished the area looked like a park!

+ -1 moreI was not thoroughly satisfied with services that were performed in 50 mins vs 4 hours. (Please read my above comments - under "What did the provider do" along with the following comment. Two large thick branches were cut okay another was not - does not show a smooth cut looks chopped (this was actually called to my attention by a friend). Another disappointment/misunderstanding the time frame - 4 men showed up it's hard to believe it took 3/4 men to do what was actually done. When I saw so many workers I thought each one would focus on an individual task - nor everyone on one job my trees are not large. According to the owner each man jointly totaled the time that was stated not each man having his own individual hour to do work. I previously spoke with the rep and specifically stated various things I had hoped would be done during the time frame that was quoted and it was more than what was done. I feel the ad was deceiving. Perhaps the time was quoted should have read 50 mins.
Description of Work: Trimmed part of a Shrug Oak and part of a Laurel Tree in my front yard. The owner was polite and professional but what one expects paying for a professional service - especially with good ratings. I will consider using this service again but, I will need a better understanding of the services being offered and paid for. In my opinion the add was misleading (maybe even deceptive) with regards to time it would take to do the job. The ad read 3 HOURS. I thought 3 hours -meaning 8am - 11am would allow for more services to be provided. I needed additional cutting and trimming in other areas. After arriving to do the work it was explained to worker counted for 45mins and that is how the 3 hour quote was determined. They arrived at 8:05am and were finished at 8:50am. I was also surprised when they arrived to see so many workers. In the past, I've had trees cut down with less manpower. The work today was cutting away dead branches and 1 large branch. The owner also said something about not cutting less than 3 inches in diameter.??? I am slightly disappointed. I did tell the owner what was done did look nice. The B I've given is due to lack of understanding and communication. I think perhaps a review of my expectation prior to doing the job would have given me a better understanding. I did call the owner prior to setting up a date and explained what I was wanting.

Crew came by 2 days later on a Sunday to clear and trim back plants and trees around screened lanai. This was needed so we could have all the screens replaced by another company later in the month. We paid extra to have trimmed branches, etc hauled away; few bits were left that we tidied up later but all in all they did a very good job.
Description of Work: Lightning fast response on coming by to review project. Cleared plants, trimmed back trees around screened lanai.

+ 0 moreThey were prompt and courteous but I feel that the three hour deal is a little misleading when initially purchasing this offer. The work was done quick and I felt a a bit put off by quick work and the clean up I did later to pick up what was left left behind,
Description of Work: Buyer beware of the 3 hour deal. This deal is for one person working. In fairness I was told prior to their arrival if three people Showed up, I would only be serviced for 1 hour of my 3 hour deal. Not much time to get my job done. 4 people showed and I was told my time was down to 45 minutes. I offered to pay extra to get the work done I needed but they were working a tight schedule. They ended staying a full hour no extra charge other than 135 dollar fee for yard waste haul away. I had 5 palms trimmed up for a total of 414 dollars,

Description of Work: This company trimmed my large oak tree in my front yard. They were very efficient, climbed on mine and my neighbors homes and trimmed the limbs off the house and off the front walk. They also removed some persistent shrubs from along side the house. They picked up all the debride and removed it, they they blew off the dirt and leaves from the sidewalk and drive. They were done in a little less than 1.5 hours.

We had a backyard that was completely over gown with weeds, beds had shrubbery that was mostly dead and trees needed to be trimmed. Bill was aware of our need of a quick turnaround and was able to meet this need. He and his team did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs any type of lawn care. I only wish I could provide before and after photos!!

+ 0 moreI liked that they worked hard and got stuff done. They basically came out with a chain saw and just chain sawed things into shapes instead of thinning stuff as a gardener would. They did kind of a hatchet job on my tree out front. The other thing is that they dragged a tree using their truck. They took out a big, spiky plant and after dragging it over my sidewalk it took a month for the tracks to get washed away. It just finally cleared up now. It would have been nice to put the plastic down underneath it. My house was really overgrown. It had been years since anybody worked on the plant life. They did a good job and had to get my area cleared for gutter people to come and put gutters up. I will also say they were not very communicative about when, exactly, they were going to come. They did come on the last day that it was available. I would have expected a little more feedback about where I was in the schedule because they were required to do their job before the gutter people could do their's, so it was a little anxious. I had sent them an email the day before they came trying to confirm that they were coming. I will probably not use them again, although I think it was a reasonable deal.

+ 2 moreIt went very well. I got my full 20 manhours of labor along with sound landscaping advice from Bill Kass. Bill Kass and his crew performed all of the little and big things that I wanted them to do.
Description of Work: Bill Kass and his crew arrived on Saturday, September 5, when he said he would. They proceeded to remove bundles and bundles of overgrown Indian Hawthorne bushes; weeding, on hands and knees, all of the frontal plant areas; reduced the height of all the yew pine planted along the frontal perimeter of the house; deweeded and clean mulch beds around six tree clusters; trimmed and deweeded east and west side viburnum hedges; removed and/or trimmed Asiatic Jasmine in circular display area; edged all plant and tree cluster areas; as well as, hauling all of the debris away.

+ 1 moreI choose Bill Kaas of NCG Landscape and Lawn Maintenance after ready all of his positive reviews on Angie's List. Boy was I right about choosing Bill and his crew. After our initial meeting on a Tuesday night, he stated that he had an opening on a Sunday morning to do my job. He and his crew showed up on time and worked. They worked and worked while at my house. My yard had lots of overgrowth and they took care of it and was able to complete his initial assessment beyond my expectations. During our final walkthrough, he gave some more suggestions that would really help finish off my yard and could come back next weekend, again on a Sunday morning. I plan on hiring him again to finish it off and will continue to use him as needed.

He showed up with a crew of 4-5 guys and had everything done in a couple of hours. They cleaned up all of the debris and hauled it away. Before they finished, Bill walked me around to make sure that I was happy with everything and I was.
