+ -1 moreHe is the biggest scammer who never fixed my mower and returned and charged three (3) more times for same job. Finally when I got a real professional he showed me the problem and that Jose never fixed but charged $75 for each 3 visits. When I called him to fix it finally with no more payments he never called back. Never use this man!
Description of Work: I commute weekly from Dc to my sisters house in Orlando. I do the basic things that I can do since I’m a CIA genetic engineer and senior advisor for all biological/chemical aspects.my sisters mower stopped working. I found this company on Angie list and I called. Initially Jose came over and said he fixed it but after $75 it broke. I called him another time and after no response for days he returned and changed another $75. Living in a nasty government position I just paid ( I have to live in a evil world from the last 27 years) so I just paid. Then the mower stopped working and I called Jose and for almost a week no response since he repeated the repair ( NOT!) 3x for $75/ visits. He doesn’t even honor his work. Finally; after reaching my limit I contacted a “real professional ‘ who showed me the gasket was shot) Jose Never repaired and was less money he called and arrived on time and gave warranty (1 year.) during the time Jose scammed me I through my agency connections found out much about Jose scamming and preyed on people that are not familiar with engine repair. If anyone is interested or planning to hire this scammer I will gladly give you information and warn that you will get ripped off and the mower will break. He will avoid any contact when you call him to fix it since paid many times. Another deviled aspect of Jose is while at another house he asked if he could use the bathroom. Upon leaving he urinated all over the floor. Again; being in Washington 27 years I deal with scammers/ politics so I should have seen this. BEWARE!! I will gladly give you a reference as stated above for a true honest professional. Jose has a history of actions that he did to me.

+ -1 morehe's not returning phone calls or following up on his word. which is disappointing. my last contact was before Irma hit when he repaired my mower. after that, he took a call and since then, NOTHING.
Description of Work: I hate to write this, I've used this company for years for my lawn mower. and until now, it's been a great experience. I don't know what has changed, but he promised to come out and fix my mower and didn't. didn't call (he has ALL my numbers), didn't come out and won't return phone calls. he repaired my mower and it worked 20 minutes before dying. he was going to come out and fix it, and pick up a tool he left at the house. but never has.

Then he removed and cleaned the carburetor on the generator and got it started. He was easy to work with and very efficient.

+ -1 moreJose called me on Saturday morning and came the same afternoon. He allowed me to watch him work, which showed me how knowledgeable he was about the machine. He gave me instructions on how to prepare the generator for storage so that the internal components would not get clogged (which was the reason it wouldn't start). He left the generator and the work area clean, and I felt that the price was quite reasonable.

+ -1 moreIt was awesome. Jose was able to set up an appointment right away. When he arrived, it was getting too dark to repair onsite, so he took it with him to fix. He returned the mower the following evening and went over everything he had fixed. My main issue was the mower was cutting off as I was trying to mow. He not only fixed that, but replaced or fixed about 4 or 5 different things he had found upon his check. Very thorough job and explained everything very well.

He was very professional, knowledgeable and prompt with his service. He came to my house and picked up my lawn equipment, ordered the parts needed to get them running, and then returned them in perfect running order. They now run better than they did back in the late 1990's. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of lawn equipment service in the future.

+ -1 moreJose came out exactly when he said he'd be here and spent several hours working on it in the yard on a weekend, which helped me out. Turned out to be the carburetor. We also had new belts and he put one of them on for us. Said the other one was fine, which I appreciated. He got it up and running. Before he came out, he ask me for the model and engine type, so I knew he was going to be prepared. Great not having to take that giant thing to a shop. I will definitely use him again.

Called Jose yesterday morning and left a message. He called me back within an hour and scheduled service for yesterday afternoon. He arrived when he said he would and went through the generator, changed the oil and plug, and had it running in no time. I would use him for any small-engine repair. The time and effort saved by not having to cart your equipment to a shop and wait days for service is well worth it.
