Louis Painting & Pressure Cleaning

Louis Painting & Pressure Cleaning did a great job on my house! I am putting the house on the market this week and I needed to get the exterior looking like new again. The original paint had faded and the stucco was cracking in some places. After the service the house looks like new and ready for pictures for the MLS!

I used Louis Painting first to do the living room area plus a large bedroom and was so pleased I hired them again to do a deck, bedroom and bathroom and front entrance. Larry Louis and his crew are highly professional. They worked hard, quietly and steadily.They were pleasant and courteous and the painting work was meticulous and perfect. I am pretty fussy, had high expectations and could not have been happier. Everything was put back together and neat as a pin when they left. I will certainly use them again when I need painting done. I highly recommend Louis Painting.

Louis was prompt, professional, and he did a fantastic job. He painted the living room and the master bedroom with accent walls. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY.

This was a difficult room with laundry. Since all the cupbords and counters were new he had to be very careful not to get paint on them. I also have a difficult work schedule and Larry was able to accomodate it. He did a greatjob and all in one day! Yay! Nancy

All in all, I do think I got what I paid for. If you are looking for a basic paint job that means you don't have to spend the time and effort, this is a sufficient service to use. If you want a truly professional service that will meet the standards of the most descerning eye, you might want to keep looking. First the positives, then the detractors. He was very responsive, friendly, and worked relatively quickly (2 rooms, 2 coats, 5.5 hrs). He was courteous and returned my calls promptly. The price was very competitive. He readily and professionally patched nail holes in the walls. Also, his edging skills around the ceiling were excellent. When he was done, he helped move furniture back into place and did ask for some white paint to fine tune the baseboards, which I thought was nice. The overall attention to quality is my main issue and came down to below points: 1) fine paint splatter on window sills, furniture and wood floors was a little irritating. Fortunately, all were easily cleaned up by me afterward, but I should not have had to do this. Dropcloths and craft paper/tape should have been laid everywhere, not just around the base boards extending out 2 feet. Thankfully I had the sense to cover my new couch with sheets. 2) the paint drops on the wood floor that he did attempt to clean up were not 100% cleaned. There were still circles of film that I had to go back and wipe up afterward. Again, easily remedied. 3) His edging skills where two wall colors met at a corner were not as precise as I would like. There was some bleed over of the lighter color on to the darker existing paint that was not corrected. That actually was very minor, but I do have a fine eye for detail. 4) many many many spots required retouching by me after the fact. Granted, my interior walls are heavily textured plaster, and I have personally painted other rooms and know they are very difficult to cover (which is why I hired a professional). For days after, I kept noticing areas where the paint didnt cover completely (he did 2 coats). I had to keep out my painters tape and kept "tagging" spots for me to go back over with a brush. In one room alone, I had 8 spots on 3 walls to fix.

One of the few contractors who shows p on time... very pleased with the quote. We will see how it will go.

Louis is very kind, professional. He is very meticulous and shows pride in his work. I was so impressed with his performance in my small bath I asked him back to do my exterior. It is beautiful. He asked me to look at his work and if I pointed anything out he was quick to fix it. I had some shrubs I had been trying to get rid of since I bought the house, he said they were in the way of painting, I told him I didn't care if he killed them, next thing I knew he removed them and bagged them up for the trash. Very impressed with his calm, pleasant attitude. He and his partner worked well together and truly seemed to enjoy their work. I would hire them again in a minute.

You provide the paint and he did the rest. Moved the furniture and painted the room. In and out and the room looks perfect. Will definitely call in him the next time I need a painter.

The man who came out was right there on time and he finished what he needed to finish.

The job went great. I originally contracted for a recently replumbed-two-piece-downstairs bathroom. Louis, the painter, inspected & advised me against painting the bathroom at this time. I selected a different room & we set up a work date. (I originally said I would stick with the same color, a very deep-dark red). He called approximately 15 minutes prior to the time we had agreed upon. He was on time. He set up, applied one coat of paint (cracked wheat, a very light color) took a ten minute snack break, giving me time to look over the room, he then applied the second coat. He scraped the excess paint off of the roller back into the bucket. He gave me an estimate on two rooms & departed. He was cost conscious & not wasteful. I could tell he took pride in his work, and he worked quietly & efficiently. I wish I had taken a before picture. Initially, I was disappointed about the bathroom, but the room selected looks amazing. I picked an amazing color & found an amazing painter. I will definitely use Louis Painting again.

It went well. My initial charge was $99 so I thought that was rather high. Especially since he kept the leftover materials.

Outstanding!!! I am very hard to please man but this man is honest, genuine, hard-worker, reasonable professional who does top-quality work. Quotes reasonable price; came on-time, texted even he was late by 15mins; performed quality work w/o tantrums, committed to his work. Painting high-ceilings is not everyone cup-of-tea but Larry had the right resources and inclination. Impressive!!

The painter arrived on time, and did an excellent job painting my bathroom.

Provider never tried to set up time to do the service. Said he was a long way away and would wait until he had another job nearby. Promised some time the first of November, but never came. His message to me in Angie's messaging system was not very professional. I wouldn't trust him to do the job correctly.

Very timely and professional

In Larry's defense, he called me the day after I purchased the Big Deal. My mother had just passed away & I told him I would call him back. Then I had surgery on 8/27/13. I actually made two separate appointments with him but he cancelled both. I don't remember the reason for the first cancellation. The second cancellation was because he had to finish up another job. I just consider these red flags and prefer not to do business with him.

I purchased a big deal @99.00. There was a bit of a communication error on when he arrived but after that was taken care of it was all good. The trim work was not included in the deal (I didn't realize this) but he did it anyway because he was late. This was very nice and above what had to be done. The job looks very nice as well.

He did a very nice job. A lot of attention to detail and care taken to ensure complete coverage of the preexisting color. Before his visit we moved all the furniture away from the walls and removed the outlet and switch plate covers (previous painters we've used just painted around them!!) . After he finished painting he went ahead and put all of the outlet covers back on for us and even offered to help move the furniture back to its original location. Although we didn't take him up on the furniture moving offer we were impressed that he offered to help and thought it was a great testament to his work ethic. I requested a quote for additional work. I felt the quote was pretty expensive for the job, especially since I'm supplying the paint, but agreed to have it done anyway because he did much better work than other painters I've hired in the past. It is worth the extra money to know I won't have to go behind him and do a bunch of touchup work after he leave like I had to do with other painters.

Louis showed up on time, completed the work with 6 hours and was very professional. The room looks beautiful and I am very pleased with the finished product.

They did a great job. They contacted me shortly after I purchased the deal to schedule the appointment. He was running late for the appointment but he called to let me know. One painter came and it took about 6 hours to complete the work. He cleaned up well after himself. The results are great and I am happy with the service.

Great! The walls look perfect and the cut in is perfect everywhere in the house.

Prepared everything perfectly. very thourough and pleasant. Kept in touch before via email and phone. Left everything spotless upon leaving. We had him quote for another very large room and will want him back to do it as his work was excellent and we trust him.

They were on time and everything went good. The price was reasonable. The work was well done and I don't see any bad. They did quality work. I would use them again.
