Like New Carpet Care

From the first time I called to schedule an appointment I was pleasantly surprised at how professional and nice the gentleman was on the phone. He spent over 10 minutes explaining the cleaning process to make me feel comfortable. They called the day before to remind me about my appointment (of course I had forgot) and they also called when they were on the way the day of the appointment which gave me time to prepare for their arrival. The technician Eric was very courteous and mindful of my belongings. He put things on the wall to protect it from being damanged by the hoses, he also brought in fans to get the carpets dry and he gave me a free bottle of carpet cleaner. Eric walked me through the rooms to show me the carpets to make sure I was satisfied with the job which I was. I was amazed at how well the carpets turned out and they even got a stain that was there when I bought the home. This company is the best around, I am going to refer them to all my friends and family and will be using them for all my cleanings. I almost forgot......the owner called me the next day to make sure I was satisified with the cleaning. Again, AWESOME company!!

Eric showed up on time and was very professional and explained the cost of the job. He did a great job and asked if there was any areas that I wanted him to go over and he did so very willingly. Carpet looks great!!!

They seemed very professional on the phone and in person. The person doing the work arrived on time, was very polite and seemed to work very hard. My problem is with their cleaning process. They do not vacuum before they clean the carpet. The owner says this is to save the consumer money, but if I am paying for professional cleaning I want a professional job. They sent an email a day or two before telling me to vacuum, move furniture, pin up bed skirts, etc. to prepare. I did a light vacuum but assumed they would vacuum thoroughly before cleaning the carpet. Nothing was done to protect the legs of my furniture. I am used to carpet cleaners putting round discs under the legs of furniture to protect it. After cleaning my sofa and chairs, the person put them back wet. As soon as he left I removed the cushions so they could dry. I did not walk on the carpet or even go upstairs to look at it for 6-8 hours. I was unhappy to find the carpet nap going every which way. I am used to carpet cleaners leaving the carpet neat looking, not looking like it needs to be vacuumed or raked. It has been a week and my carpet still has that messy look I assume because it was allowed to dry while messy. My carpet also has a crunchy feel now. The sofa is splotchy -- some areas clean, some not. The owner offered to come back out and redo the work but I honestly don't trust them not to ruin something. I plan to redo the carpets and sofa cushions myself and hopefully they will go back to the condition they were in before "Like New Carpet" touched them. I have a hard time writing such a negative review because everyone I dealt with at this company could not have been nicer or more accommodating. But in the end it has been a week and I am still unhappy with the way my carpet and sofa looks and feels.

Eric called 20 minutes before arrival (right on time). eric did a great job (this is the 2nd time I've had my carpet done and this company did a better job). Chris asked for my approval at the end of job.

On time/discussed project/reviewed as project was being completed and after job was finished. Polite and courteous.

The service was adequate it was nothing great. The service was just average.

Eric called to tell me he was fifteen minutes away, arriving exactly on time. He was very pleasant and professional. He did what I asked and was not "pushy" for adding things that I didn't need.

He began be doing a nice job on the tile and grout. He cleaned the rugs after the tile was finished. Before he left, it appeared that the work was completed well. I even completed the Angie's List satisfaction survey giving him high marks, prior to his leaving our home. However, as the day progressed, I began to find corner areas and threshold areas (close to the walls) that were not cleaned at all. In addition, there was a sticky residue left on the tile (not sure if it came from the carpet cleaning) that attracted dirt throughout the house so that I had to re-clean all of the tile floors in the house the next day to remove the residue. It came off in most places, but there are still some places that I'm going to need to go over again. I started out by being very satisfied, but ended up very frustrated with the quality of the work. He was courteous, helpful and professional in manner and appearance. However, the work was substandard.

He was unable to remove spots. After he left I removed them myself.

Even though there were some technical issues the job was done quickly and to my satisfaction. Both the owner and individual (Eric) were very apologetic to an issue out of their control.

Very satisfied with 3 of the rooms. The 4th, our family room (highest traffic) seemed to have "streaks" left behind. I did not call to request corrective service, although I am sure they would have happily sent someone to fix it. I felt I had already received plenty for my money. I would still recommend and use their service again.

Alex came to clean my couch. He was professional and on time. He went over extra areas because I am a little old. He was very nice and the couch looks great.
