I first hired Jimmy to paint the exterior of my current house. It took a little bit of time to find a date to start, but once he started he, and his worker, finished the job fairly quickly. We had a hiccup in the middle of painting where he painted half of my house purple, the color that came about from the Sherwin Williams code that I gave him. I guess Sherwin Williams changed their color codes in the past 5 years, because I was trying to match one of my neighbors colors. Since it was my fault for having the wrong code, I bought all new paint and paid for the extra paint time, after spending about an hour arguing with Jimmy that I couldn't keep a purple house. I still think that he should have noticed that the house was purple and not brown before painting so much, but whatever. Anyway, the work was good and matched the price that he quoted me. When I told him about a few things that he needed to fix, he took a little bit of time but eventually came out to fix most of them. However, when he removed the screens from my house to paint, he broke one. He tried to fix the problem by offering to rescreen them all at cost. Months later, he finally re-screened them and brought them back to my house with the excess edges still on them and a packet of razors left on my front porch. I took the time to cut off the excess edges. I have now texted and left voicemails for over a month and he is completely ignoring me. I just want the screens put back up and I don't have a ladder big enough to do it myself. Even if I did, he took them down to paint and should put them back up. If he would have, I would not have written this review and vowed to never use him again. I'm not one to complain. While waiting for my screens to be re-screened, I hired him to paint my rental property, interior and exterior. He did a great job on the exterior (like my house), but a terrible job on the interior (something I wish I had known). I had to have him come back three times to fix spots that he missed, and even then there are still spots that still look bad. He said he painted all of the doors but he must have just tried to touch them up because they were awful. Then, I spent 10 hours scrubbing the counters, cabinets, and floors for splatter spots. I didn't realize he was that bad of a painter before because if he drips on the outside it doesn't matter because the paint just gets on the grass. Additionally, he told me that he stained his cabinets himself and could stain my cabinets. I picked out a stain, and they look terrible. He didn't sand them well, so the paint is uneven and there are scratches all over where he didn't use the right sandpaper or got frustrated or something. It turns out, he didn't stain his cabinets at all, he painted them and tried to convince me to paint over the awful job he did staining them. I'm not a fan at all of painted cabinets (especially when everything else in the kitchen is already white), so we left them as they were and the realtor just said we have to hope that the potential buyer likes everything else enough to not look at the cabinets. My fee words of advice if you choose to hire Jimmy anyway: make sure you wait to pay him until everything is to your liking because once he is gone, he's not coming back. And, don't have him paint the inside of your house. I have never seen anyone paint as poorly inside as he does.

Description of Work: I saw his truck in my neighborhood, and called his phone #. He knew the local condo layout so he gave me a price over the phone and said he could start on Thursday. I called him on Wed. to see what time he would arrive and he acted like he had no clue who I was, then said he would start on Friday. He called Friday and said his mother was sick so he would call in a few days. I never heard from him again.
