It went very well, they worked quickly, and got everything done in just over 30 minutes.

I did not use them I have told you this many times. Including phone calls. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!

John was very quick to respond which I appreciated. We agreed upon a set time so I took off of work so I can be home when he arrived. Unfortunately he was late and did not bother to reach out to me to let me know. (Things happen which I TOTALLY understand but common courtesy is to let the person know. ) I called him twice to see where he was and he kept saying a few minutes away. Truth be told, he was literally an hour late. When he and his (wife?) arrived, instead of apologizing he started hustling me about the price of moving the items in my garage. It was beyond ridiculous because I barely had anything to move. I understood from talking to him on the phone that there was a $100 minimum but there was no reason for there to be anything charged above that. I was supposed to get $15 off from Angie's List and he was an hour late and quoting me $50 more than he said on the phone. After I told him to please leave and I will use another company, he finally brought the price down to the original agreed upon price of $100. I think it was completely unprofessional how it was handled. I'm sure they use the scare tactics with people to get the most money that they can but there was no way I wasn't standing my ground. I have used some fabulous people from Angie's List lately but this is the first one I would not recommend unless you want to get into an uncomfortable and unnecessary money war.

I had a great deal that needed to be picked up and I was concerned that all of it would not fit into his truck.....he is a professional and knew how to pack his truck ......he had no problem getting everything (even a large grill) into his truck.......I was trying to help move some of the things and John reminded me that he was there to do that and I did not need to do a thing. It is a wonderful feeling to have all of my "stuff" out of here and it was great dealing with John Barnes.

They called before arriving at the scheduled time. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They were quick and professional, taking great care when removing the TVs. They hauled them away and the estimate they gave over the phone was exactly what they charged.

John was very friendly and able to work with our time frame for removal of furniture (for a move-out date). The only thing that wasn't 100% great was that he arrived a few hours after we had scheduled the time. Otherwise, he was friendly, efficient, professional, and took everything away. Thanks!

When they showed up they were immediately ready to get to work. Working with John was absolutely fantastic, he and his family are extremely friendly - a true family businesses. They never upsold me based on how heavy anything was or any other garbage you have to normally deal with in junk hauling. They just showed up, got to business, and left the place clean. I was so impressed!!! Seriously, if you have any junk laying around you've been meaning to move or anything at all you have undone - just call them already! So glad I did, and now I have gotten rid of the stress of the unfinished to-do list. Great people, great work!

We were in a bind with a last minute need to haul away a sofa bed and love seat with recliners after the Salvation Army rejected them. New furniture was coming the next morning. We called other providers but no one would guarantee same day service. A Better Price Hauling/John Barnes was willing and got there within the hour. Polite, professional and responsive. They saved us stress and extra effort. Very good service and would use them again.

EXCELLENT! I had several cubic yards of dirt and landscape trash as a result of a complete renovation project of my front yard. Over the years my topsoil had turned to sand and no plants were surviving well or looking healthy in my front yard so I replaced everything from topsoil to plants. On one of the days that my landscaper was digging away, John who was heading to do a job in my gated subdivision, stopped and handed him a business card. In turn my landscaper handed the card to me. After checking him out on Angie's List, I called John the following day and he came by to give me a quote a day later. As I customarily do with all subs including large companies like ADT security, I did not accept his offered price and negotiated with him until I felt the number made sense to me. Up to that point my attitude was to each his own. As he has full right to try to get the best price, so do I. In response to the one unhappy customer who reviewed John, I cannot hold the subcontractor responsible if I am negligent in my negotiation. I too was in a hurry as my community association is very strict and I needed to clear out the huge mound of dirt laying next to the side of my house quickly. John and his worker piled away at the load for most of the day and when I came back from work they were finishing up. I can't remember the last time someone delivered on a job they did for me to the point that I did not have a remark or touch up that needed attention. When I looked at the area that they had cleared up, not only did I see no trace of the pile that was there, the ground was level and even as if they had brushed it with a broom. I had the check already made out and in my pocket as I was expecting some last minute pushing and pulling to try to get a few more dollars. None of that happened. He took the check, verified that it was written out correctly and shook my hand. As far as I am concerned, as the customer, I am to be graded on trying to get the best price and terms and from that point on it is the sub who is graded on delivering within the parameters of that price and those terms. A Best Price Hauling did so exceptionally.

John Barnes, the owner, and his worker did a fantastic and very thorough job. Because some of this stuff had been sitting there a long time, they had to cut out weeds and other things. They made sure that the area was swept and cleaned up before they left. Will definitely hire them to do other jobs in the future. I highly recommend A Best Price Hauling to anyone!

BEWARE---- Ripped off. Called Mr Barnes to get a quote for the items mentioned above. He was unable to do so over the phone, stating he'd like to see the amount of debris, in person, before doing so. We agreed to meet on the morning of the 22nd June at 9AM. After 4 or so calls to find out where he was, he finally showed up at 11:30AM. He claimed to know the area like the back of his hand, yet needed directions to the house. I had asked if he had a GPS to help but apparently "those things dont work too well for him". Mr Barnes stated he came from the Downtown Orlando area and that it takes over an hour to get down to Hunters Creek. Strangely, I can and have driven to his approximate area numerous times (to my CPA) and it only takes 40 mins one way, from an area that is 9 miles further away than where I now reside. Certainly not the 2.5hrs that he was late. At one point, he let slip that his truck had "broken down"..... if so, why not call and say so?? That I could have understood. "Stuff" happens.... I get that. When he finally showed up and inspected the pre-sorted pile of debris, he hemmed and hawed, claiming he'd have to make two dump runs..... one for carpet and the other for the tile. As such, he then quoted me the price mentioned above. I was both amazed and "trapped" as I absolutely had to get rid of the stuff that day, due to a deadline that I had to meet in two days time. I didnt feel I could easliy ask him and his colleague to leave. Sadly, I went ahead with the hauling "BEST PRICE HAULING" may be his DBA name (he had the check made out to him personally)..... HOWEVER, a better price I found out afterwards, from the Company who were re-tiling the house, was around $150. Even "The Bagster" from Waste Management is $30 (for the bag itself) + $120 for Hauling. Talk about feeling ripped off, after the fact. In the end, the debris was gone and the garage cleared for moving. I helped throw some of it in his dilapidated trailer, just to get him away from me (and the ordeal over with) faster . If you call upon Mr Barnes, DO get other quotes. Avoid the mistake I made by only going with one based on a few recommendations from Angies List. The ones I had read previously, didnt mention the need to haggle. Perhaps I should have but with as many various priorities going on with the house remodel and imminent move, I didnt. Ian F.

I was very impressed by everything about the service. Mr. Barnes came out the day after I called. When he ran into trouble with his truck on the way, he called to say he'd be late and apologized profusely. He wasn't that late, though. He and his team did the job quickly and efficiently, and left the yard looking great. I'm not sure how to rate the price (although I gave it an A), since I've never had yard waste removed before. However, the price was in line with other estimates, and as I said, it was a huge, messy pile of branches. He and his team were pleasant and professional. I would recommend this service to others.

John and family arrived promptly, were very professional and took great care not to injure any of my walls or furniture while moving the items. They then loaded everything on their truck with no incident. John was very personable. I recommend his company to anyone needing this service.

Mr. Barnes made several trips to my home for odd jobs, and was welcome relief to me during a stressful moving time. He hauled off a large lot of old baseboards left by the prior owners, as well as other debris. He was also able to pull out about 6-7 LARGE stumps of bushes for me in a fairly delicate area with no damage, as well as hacking down several other very overgrown bushes. He has a practical, down-to-earth, friendly approach and was very responsive each time I called.

John and his crew came to my house twice for work within the same week. The first time involved them hauling limbs and debris. They quickly loaded up the items and cleaned up after, raking and sweeping where necessary. The second trip that week was to remove several small tree stumps which I had quoted from him during his first visit. John and his crew dug around and pulled out 2 smaller palm stumps and an olive tree stump. They covered the holes and cleaned up thoroughly. One of the biggest positives of the entire process was how polite John and his workers were. I will certainly call John again if the need arises.

He very nice and fair. He explained the pricing and other things. I would absolutely recommend him to all of my friends and rehire him in a minute to do more work for me.

Perfect! They were here and gone within the hour. They picked up one very heavy Tv and carried it to the truck so not to damage any flooring. Very careful and cautious. decided

John came out the next day to remove the items. Everything went well. The total was a bit more than anticipated, but being new to the area, I'm not sure what dump fees might be as part of his costs. Which may be high. Therefore, his pricing overall might in reality have been very good.

John returned my initial call within minutes, set an appointment and showed up as expected. They were all extremely pleasant and were done in no time. I will definitely keep them in mind for future needs. I highly recommend them. Thanks, John!

John and Tony were the nicest gentlemen to deal with on the phone and in person. They were responsive, polite, friendly and professional. They carried a big old console tv out of the house and hauled it to the dump. I know it was very heavy, too! I will call them again.

I called the company on Wednesday and they came the next day to haul the tub away. They showed up about 30 minutes late but called to let me know of their delay. The job was larger than they expected so they left for additional assistance but returned in a timely manner and performed the stated job. No damage was done to my property and I was very satisfied with their work.
