Description of Work: Whole House Electrical Inspection. | |The technician conducting this inspection incorrectly advised that the electrical panel showed signs of heat stress and feeder wires to inside panel had an over radius bend causing excessive heat in panel. He further advised that fixes would cost $950. Two second opinions from 2 electricians from 2 different companies refuted these findings stating there was no problem with electrical panels or bend of feeder wires.

Hi customer, I contacted my Service Manager Bobby who was the person that came out. He sent me over a picture of the panel and I do see signs of some overheating in the exterior panel. I do instruct my electricians to make all recommendations to homeowners that are needed to prevent potential problems in the near future. The main breaker is 150 amp and it looks to be more than 20 years old. Whoever electrician that did not recommend to change that panel is like telling you not to change your tires when they are bald and on their way out. I am sorry for any miscommunication but based on the picture I saw I would have to agree with my manager. Also $950 for the swap is a great price. Tony Taylor CEO

Description of Work: Used the Angie's List $49.00 whole house electrical inspection. The service was performed and the electrician identified one bad GFCI outlet in the kitchen that needed replacement. The only shortcoming in the service was that he did not have the replacement on the truck and I needed to run to the hardware store which he then installed.
