The electrician Nick arrived on time with an assistant to install all the items I needed. The outlet, eyeball light, and pendant lights were installed on Tuesday. They ran into an issue with a solid wall where the ceiling fan and flood light swith were going to be installed, so had to come back on thursday with a chipping tool to cut through the concrete. Nick came back on Thursday to finish the job and did not charge me for the extra day, or cutting through the cement. Nick did an excellent, neat and clean job, good competative price and my dog even liked him. They are highly recommended and will definately use them again for future jobs.
Description of Work: Needed an outlet installed in entrance, 2 pendant lights prewired and installed with switch in kitchen, prewired switch and Ceiling fan in Breakfast Nook, eyeball light prewired and installed with dimmer by diningroom buffet, floodlight prewired and installed in back yard.

Went well, that is... After the electrician had to scope out the work, then go to the nearest Home Depot to buy what was needed. I thought that he would have had the parts on hand since it was known that an exterior outlet was being installed. However, he was very professional and he did a great job with the installation.

Hi customer, I am happy to see that overall the job went well. As I am sure you noticed we charge a minimal fee if we need to make a trip to pick up material. Due to gas prices and the need for oversize vehicles we try to keep somewhat minimal stock on our trucks. We also never quite know what we could run into on a job. I am pleased that you are happy and please give us a call in the future if you need anything else.

Hi member, I must say that the pricing is becoming increasingly an issue. As a business we must make a profit. That of which is becoming a real fine line. As the owner I have expenses for the business. I as a business owner and an expert in my field believe in paying my people more that what you, or they might think is reasonable. You must consider the gas we must pay for. We cover 2500 square miles. I would love to have someone in every neighborhood of which maybe I will some day. You however want to hire a real professional and not your neighbor, the electrician that you do not know his standard. When dealing with a licensed reputable company such as In Phaze you have a pro writing to you now. You are covered by laws and insurance and the price I can promise you is more than fair considering all of the factors in our current economy. Trust me when I say. I know the market and fair is fair. Some may not realize my market. I am a consumer and a business owner separate. Thank you for your input

They show up on time and do a reasonable job. The gentleman was courteous. Did a very good job on the relocation of some junction boxes for light fixtures. Miss-located speaker wire installation for surround sound. That is the result of bad communication on our part. However, where the wires were installed really makes no sense given what was already present. Ran regular speaker wire that we had on hand instead of jacketed wire for in-wall use. Ceiling fan installation was great although there was some confusion about the fan controls. I would use them again. However, I recommend having someone on hand that knows a little bit about electrical or construction to oversee the work.

Hi member, you get an A from me. As the owner of a business I truly appreciate your honesty. I can say that we are on the same page. It has been tough to find experienced, knowledgeable, and communicative electricians. It has been tough. I have recently stepped things up and did just that. I now have Christine to take in all calls and dispatch to either myself or to Mike who is now our service manager. The 2 of us will oversee and meet every customer from here on out. Experts in in any industry are hard to get. They are everywhere but in todays economy they are somewhat tough to get to come on board. I have a beautiful business model that works and is great for everyone in my company as well as economical for all of you my customers. Please note that we are professionals to some extent and if you did not notice by reading the overall reviews I am a man of my word. You will be happy or you cannot be made happy. Or I am failing to do my job and that is not an option for me. Tony Taylor Owner

I bought the Deal. The tech showed up on time and was very courteous. I appreciate his acknowledging the note asking him to knock and not ring the doorbell as our baby was napping. He quickly figured out what the problem was with the dimmer switch and faulty outlet. When it came to the outdoor light, he quickly provided an estimate of what it would cost and then completed the job rigt then.

I initally used an Angie's List Big Deal, $99.00 for two hours of electrical service. I paid an additional $320 for a total of $419 which was a great value for all the work that was done. I was having problems with flickering lights and multiple outlets not working. Tony and Aubrey did an excellent job replacing almost all the outlets and switches throughout the house, garage and patio. I didn't track the exact number, but it was at least forty! After discussing the scope of the work with Tony in advance, I bought all the materials (regular outlets, GFIs for kitchen and bathrooms, one way, two way and three way switches) and they worked nonstop all afternoon to get everything installed. They also installed one ceiling fan with a light fixture. I also wanted to get two outside post lanterns repaired. I found out the replacement parts would need to be special ordered. The lanterns were old and not in the best condition, so Tony suggested replacing them instead. We agreed to meet back at the house an hour later. They left to run some errands and I left to make the lantern purchases. They returned on schedule and completed the installation. Everything is working well now and I feel much safer knowing the electrical system is in good working order. Tony and Aubrey were professional and efficient. I would definitely hire In Phaze Electric for any future electrical needs!

I selected this company in good part due to consistently good ratings from previous customers. I have the impression that others selected the company for work on that biasis too as the company seemed stretched by its workload once the project began. Overall, they did a reasonably good job. That said, a few things struck me as being a rung below a top flight company. For context, the company just became associated with Generac and I was their first customer under this new arrangement (they said) so there may have been a learning curve. The process to obtain the permit for the installations seems to have been prolonged. I was originally told the permit would be pulled on 20 June. 4 days later, I was told that it would be pulled on the 30th. County records indicate that the application was finally made on 2 July and it reached the "issued" step on 27 Jul. Along the way, it was mentioned to me that the compnay was in discussion with the county over the plan for the wiring. The builder did install a couple of subpanes that are not half full and the main panel has feeds to each and the main panel has a capacity exceeding the requirements for the house. While technically sound, the arrangement presented a challenge. The company however saw the layout and took photos during the first visit so their plan presumably considered the arrangement from the start. On 21 July, the company wasn't sure this had been resolved - 6 weeks after the initial project discussions. While this project certainly wasn't urgent, I found the timeline to be a bit long. Again, the company appeared to be pulled in many directions at once due to a growing workload exceeding resources (note: the manufacturer did deliver the generator a week later than its initial estimate - a delay not the fault of In Phaze). The company provided me with the manufacturer's brochure on the system. In the initial discussions, I was told the generator would be on a concrete pad. In reviewing the literature, I noticed that it said the unit could be on pea gravel and didn't require a concrete pad. I emailed the company asking about this and the response was that a concrete pad would be installed. Days later, I was told it would be pea gravel due to county requirements. Odd that the company didn't know about the reported county requirement. 3 people worked on the project at various times and this led, in my opinion, to a wiring error. To its credit, the company took responsibility and fixed the related problems. No finger pointing nor excuses, just an effort to make everything right. Nonetheless, the error should either have not been made or been caught in a review (since the 3rd workman had not done this type of work before, a thorough check of his work should have been in order). So, the experience was disappointing in comparison to earlier favorable reviews. The company appeared to be addressing its workload vs resource problems (e.g., someone was hired to anwer phones, etc. during this project) and there were a few learning opportunities.

They did a good job installing the ceiling fan. The problem is that i asked for them to install two ceiling fans, but they left before working on the second. After they left I scheduled three different appointments to install the second fan, and each time they did not show up. I either received a call hours after they did not show up, or was completely ignored. For this reason, I would not recommend In Phaze Electric.

I chose this company after reviewing Angies List . Specifically the owner's response to "the few" minor criticisms and or problems stated on Angies List. Reading these on Anie's List I felt I could trust Tony & his Company to do a QUALITY JOB at a FAIR Price. Turns out I was right. Tony (owner) & Brent met with me at my home at the agreed upon time the day after I initially called requesting a quote. They spent about an hour inspecting the house and explaining exactly everything that needed/would be done & provided the quote. The job started at the prescribed date & time and they were excellent in working around my "different" schedules. There were a couple of unforseen problems encountered during the job but Brent (project manager), Nick and Brey managed them in stride. Tony and All three of these employees were excellent & professional in their work, attitudes and personalities. Be aware this is a major job and involves a lot of moving furniture, etc. to gain access to "ALL" of the electrical connections and usually some small holes in the drywalls (think dust & turn off all fans) to facilitate the rewiring. They handle all of this but of course "easily breakable" items should be moved/packed away ahead of time just to be sure. Brent was also excellent at patching the drywall and after I did I little touch up painting you couldn't even tell there was ever any work done. Hint, take the little squares they cut out to Home Depot/Lowes and their computer can match the paint almost exactly and you can buy a "sample size" of the paint for something like $2.49 and a little goes a long way. In Phaze offers excellent hourly rates/quotes, % off coupons on Angies List & on "Their Own" Web Site, provide Quality Work by professional employees and the owner stands behind his companies promises. I will be highly recommending them to all of my friends.
Description of Work: This job was a Whole house re-wire, upgrade to 200 Amp service & NEC 2011 to a 4 bedroom 2 bath 2 car garage 1800 square foot home.. It replaced all the original aluminum wiring with copper wiring, replaced Federal Pacific Circuit Breaker Boxes and breakers (inside and outside) with new Square D & GE products, replaced all receptacles/outlets with new Tamperproof receptacles and/or GFI's as required, installed 7 ac/hard wired smoke detectors and installed 4 new exterior security lights.

Well, to be honest, Tony and I didnt get off to a great start, but he and Obrey,(not sure how to spell that) sure made up for any doubts I may have had. I talked to Tony, and he was out the next day to give me written estimate. First of all let me say, I live in a mobile home in East Orlando, and several electricians will not work on mobile homes. Kudos to Phaze Electric and the owner. From the estimate to the work being completed was super, customer service, professional, easy to communicate with, they listened to exactly what my wife and I wanted... completed and delivered. 3 additional plugs, new circuit, fan installed and wired, new porch light installed, 2 outside plugs replaced. No, it was not a normal install for them, but they did a great job, and even painted some of the electrical trim pieces, and purchased plugs and covers to match the aluminum on the porch. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Hi member, as you noticed my phone rings all day. As I mentioned I would like to take on certain jobs such as yours more often. I am bringing on a scheduler and dispatcher to answer the phones which I believe will allow me to focus more on getting In Phaze Electric a little more organized. I like meeting my customers and seeing a project through. You get all A's as a customer from me. You were patient and understanding. The emails were a big help for me. Emails I never lose or forget. A phone call I sometimes forget. Either way through thick and thin the job went perfectly and everyone is happy. That is the only thing I care about! Hi member thank you for the review. We appreciate the business. I see another D review for punctuality. When we schedule a customer we give a specific time that we are going to be there. As the owner I am realizing that I should maybe consider a 3 hour window as other companies do. The idea is to be on time evertime but that is usually not the case. Traffic, accidents, tires, rain, etc... Most of the time it is that the previous job or 2 has taken longer than anticipated. It is hard for me or especially any dispatcher to really know how long a job or even a bid is going to take. I will guarantee you one thing...I am doing everything in my power to critique In Phaze Electric and will always strive to be the best in the business. Thank you for your business member and thank you Angies List.
