The technician spent a couple of hours in the attic fishing Cat 6 cable. He was determined to get this job completed to our satisfaction. And he did!!! Climbing around our attic is NOT a walk in the park. We wouldn't hesitate in calling In Phaze Electric again.
Description of Work: We were looking to have Cat 6 cable run through our attic for future home automation components. Based on Angie's List we called In Phaze Electric. We explained the scope of the project. We were quoted a very fair hourly rate. We settled on the day and time of service. The technician arrived on time. He was courteous and got down to business immediately.

He did a terrific job. He was punctual, professional and very helpful. I would highly recommend using this service provider.
Description of Work: Tony came and carefully looked over the entire electrical distribution of the house. He checked the main breaker, the breaker distribution panel and the pool pump electrical. He showed me where there were some potential issues and why I was hearing the noise from my main breaker panel.

I needed to upgrade the voltage in the power box servicing my pool pump, timer and chlorinator panel. After replacing my pool pump, I discovered its voltage did not match the existing box. I called In Phaze to install a 220 volt switch. After inspecting my existing, he advised for safety reason that I should just replace it and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the repairs and he left to get the parts. He returned and replaced the power box and even wired it to my new pool pump! I thought I would have to do that myself. After he was finished he made sure every thng was working safely. I paid the exact amount of the estimate minus the Angies list 15% off coupon. I expect to be calling them back for more electric work on my house.

I had purchased a Big Deal for up to 2 hours of electrical service for $99. The electrician arrived on time and was very polite and professional. I explained to him that I had purchased a remote controlled electrical outlet from an internet source and I needed him to install it on a high shelf in the family room. Since the shelf is so high it is not feasible to put anything up there that needs to be turned on or off. With the remote controlled outlet I can place things up there and turn them on and off with the remote. I also had the parts to add a jack for my home computer network so I could plug a wired security camera in and be able to view a large part of the house. He wasted no time getting started and actually finished a little sooner than I thought he would. He cleaned up after himself and did exactly what I needed him to do. I would not hesitate to call them again when I need some electrical work done.

Overall went well. The first time the service tech came out they charged us for a full hour but did not use a full hour, I talked to the company who said they recently changed their billing and they were now billing in 30 minute blocks so the 2nd time they came out we didn't have to pay for a full hour if he had to go over time. I think its better since they changed their billing method.
Description of Work: We used in phaze to install 2 outside lights on both side of our garage door. We also had them come back out and install some kitchen track lighting and replace some outlets that had gone bad after an electrical storm. Over all our experience was good and they called to follow up and ask how everything went. We would use them again.

The electrician called to say he was running 30-40 minutes late and asked if that would be OK. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the 3 bathroom outlets & reset them. He installed an In-use Cover on an outside outlet. He also checked some wires that had been repaired by someone else to be sure it was done properly. He was very helpful and professional.

Overall it went ok, but we were a bit off-put by the perceived lack of professionalism. My husband was here while the actual work was done at our house. I arranged the service ahead of time, but my husband oversaw the actual implementation process while I was at work. At first I called and scheduled a date for a serviceman to come look at our house; but he never showed up. I thought that I had seen some good reports on angie's list so I decided to give them another chance. They were very apologetic on the phone and we set up a 2nd appointment. This time a young man with blue hair showed up at my house and he gave me an estimate. We decided the entire house needed to be rewired. I have no idea if this was necessary, but he sold us on it somehow. My husband recounted how the servicemen who rewired the house were a little bit crude and vulgar. Perhaps they thought it was OK to talk like that when they were just around the guys. But this was something that my husband made sure to point out to me afterwards. After the work was done, my husband was informed that he needed to check every light switch after they were done. They made sure to place emphasis on the fact that they wanted it to be OUR fault if anything was not working properly. Essentially they gave my husband a quality assurance job without any pay. My husband checked all the outlets and it seemed fine. But then when night fell and I went to turn on the lights outside of the garage we realized that there was one flaw in that light switch. The inside garage light had to be on in order to turn on the outside light. So we called them back and with a little bit of complaining, blame placing and grumbling they finally came back and fixed the mistake.
Description of Work: We had our entire single family home rewired with new outlets and electrical lines. 2 new ceiling fans were installed. One new electrical line was added in our master bathroom.

Hi Mr. Customer, I will say first that if you receive this message that you have my word that I will personally take care of any issues that you might have in the future greatly discounted. I will tell you that the person with Blue hair you are referring to is Andy. He is a good and honest person. He is a bit strange and all with the Blue hair and I recommended for professional reasons that he should lose the hair color but I cannot demand it. Being an employer is a tricky business. Andy had a very short stay with the company mainly due to the issues that you refer to in this review. I am truly sorry for the ordeal altogether and i hope to have the opportunity to make it right somehow. I will say that we have a great staff of individuals now and things seem to be a bit more organized. At least I feel that it is. I am also spending more time on the road greeting new customers which is what I love to do. Rest assured, I do all that I can to hire, educate and train honest and professional individuals to be the best service electricians in Central Florida. It can be hard to efficiently perform the duties that can be required when doing in-home service repair. Staying on time, scheduling and clear communication with our customers is sometimes the greatest challenge. Any customer of In Phaze Electric should know that they can call me anytime to discuss any issues. I am not like most contractors and think it is your fault. I have been called too honest and generous of which I beg to differ. I will do nearly whatever it takes to make my customer happy. Please call me if you need me, Tony Taylor Owner 407-655-5281

I purchased two outside electrical outlet installations for $125 each when it was offered as a Big Deal. When I was ready, I called the provider (In Phaze.) Someone called me back within hours of my message and scheduled the appointment for just days later. On the day of the appointment, Nick called me ahead of time to keep me posted on his schedule and we met at my home right when he said he would be there. Nick was great. He not only installed the two outlets, he also took the time to walk around the house with me and answer some other electrical questions that I had and gave me some free advice on some of my future projects. Because I like to learn about my home and how to take care of it, I watched (kind of helped) Nick with a few things along the way and I enjoyed it a great deal. I feel like I should note a few things Nick did that, in my opinion, went above and beyond. Keep in mind, all I had prepaid for was two outside outlets. 1) Spent about 20 minutes answering all my odds and ends electrical questions that have arisen in the 3 years we have owned our home. 2) I told him about my plans to remodel our bedroom and he gave me some helpful suggestions about how I might want to improve the layout of the electrical and lighting. 3) He was able to reuse one piece of existing conduit for the new outlet and because the conduit terminated into a junction box that was going to be replaced with an outlet. When he took that junction box off it left an area on the wall that was uncovered and would need to be painted. Instead of leaving it like that, he supplied us with a double outlet box that covered the entire area at no extra charge. I'll definately use In Phaze again if I have any electrical work that needs to be done.
Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal (2 of them, actually) - to have an outdoor electrical outlet installed for $125/each. In Phaze completed the task admirably.

The service tech showed up right on time discussed the problem with me and started to work. He found a loose wire in one of the fixtures which had shorted and blown the bulbs in all the other fixtures. He fixed the problem and replaced all the bulbs and was done in just over an hour. I was very pleased with the service and the individual who provided it. I would most definitely call them again.

Excellent. They promptly returned my call and were able to provide an approximate estimate of the price. Scheduled the appointment at a day and time convenient for me and then came as promised and performed necessary service.
Description of Work: Needed ceiling fan replaced and also outlets in one bedroom were not working. Nick the service technician was expected at 9 AM but when he was slightly delayed, he called to alert me and arrived when he said he would. Performed the fan replacement quickly and neatly. Identified the problem with the switches in the bedroom and went and got the necessary parts to replace the circuit breaker. This was also done in a very timely fashion. I used the 10% off coupon and only paid 97.00 for the entire service. Nick was very professional and informative about what was needed and did the service very efficiently. I would call them again for any electrical work I need done.

Overall, everything went smoothly. They arrived when expected. Juan had to go to out to Home Depot for supplies. He wasn't gone very long, and I knew I was to pay any supply fees.
Description of Work: I used the Angie's list deal of $99 for 2 hrs of electrical work. Juan was prompt, professional, and got a lot accomplished in 2 hrs. he replaced 6 outlets in my home, some in the kitchen that hadn't worked in 5 yrs. He also helped me get a stuck lightbulb out of my ceiling lamp, that i couldn't get out for 2 months. It had stripped the threads, and he fixed it!! I then thought one of the outlets wasn't working, called the company, and the owner Tony Taylor came right out. He was very friendly, told me he stands by all his work. We found out the outlet was just fine. I was impressed by his drive to succeed, and to have a good company, with repeat business. i will definately call him again for any of my electrical needs. Nick came promptly to my house to put in four ceiling fans and switches that I ordered from an on-line company. He was very polite and professional when asking me questions. He even cleaned up and placed my boxes that I had in the garbage for me. I am VERY pleased with the job Nick performed and I'll give them a call the next time I need an electrician. I was also very impressed with the owner asking how everything went after the job was completed that afternoon! Overall, if your looking for an honest electrician, In Phaze Electric is it!

I purchased a $99 special for two hours of electrical service. I scheduled an appointment to have someone come over and look to see what I wanted to have done to make sure that what was requested would be within the time frame. I was assured that the job could be done within the time frame but that the led lighting and transformers would be extra. I was provided a total for the lights, transformers and in addition to the $99 special I agreed to have the service done. I had a little difficulty with the first tech that came out to start the job.. I was then sent a second tech, Elvin, to complete the job. Elvin spent quite a bit longer than the estimated time from the first tech. Tony was completely understanding due to prior techs inexperience in estimating & completing the job and he was willing to complete the job with the initial price that we agreed upon. I was happy with the look of the new lights and would not hesitate to use there services again. I would however still proceed with an estimate before having any future work done.

A good job was done. The contractor showed up to provide a cost estimate and how best to do the job. We agreed on a price as it was more then the current Big Deal. He showed up promptly at the install time and was quick and professional. I think the overall price was fair, if I had not taken advantage of the Big Deal this work might have been a bit on the expensive side. I had to pay for materials in addition to the time spent. Rather then give me an itemized receipt for materials I just got a "lot" price. Next time I will want to have a breakdown of costs. Again, recommended.

Hi customer, I do apologize for the improper handling of the material cost. Typically we will charge for half the time to get parts if need be. I have also instructed the technicians to provide the customer with the receipt for the 2 hour specials. Please keep in mind the cost from my side. Gas is high and the economy is tight. In short most of us don't have extra to be careless with. I make this promise however. With my costs in mind and what is fair is a very tight line currently in our time. With that said i do my utmost to provide the fairest most honest prices to my customers but please consider our cost to come out to your home. On another note: We have somewhat restructured our service to our customers. It is can be troublesome at times but we believe strongly in a training program. We are now sending 20 year master electricians out for any first time response to any job whether for a bid or a simple trouble call. I have had many individuals come through In Phaze and another promise that I make to my customers is to provide you with the most knowledgeable and courteous service found anywhere in Central Florida. That can be hard to live up to but just know I have your best interest in mind. I appreciate the honest reviews it helps me to determine my course of actions.

Finished job was just as we had hoped. Getting there was not. We took advantage of a $99 Angie's List deal for 2 hours labor. Appointment: 1. The man who called me back tried to "guess" which caller I had been. He guessed wrong twice seeming very unprofessional. Labor: 1. Neil, the electrician, was not whom I was told to expect to conduct work requested. 2. Neil was an hour late arriving as he misunderstood the address given him by office and ended up on opposite side of town. 3. There were no signs on his vehicle indicating he was working for In Phaze. 4. It took him approximately one hour to determine course of action to take. 5. He left around noon to purchase parts. (Not hearing his truck start I looked out the window and the hood of his truck was open. It took him about 10 minutes to get his truck to start to leave) 6. He didn't return for two hours and never bothered to contact me regarding his delay. 7. Close to wrapping up he was "hurried" from his office to get to next job. (We were going to install the ceiling fan ourselves) 8. We were going to be way over-charged for parts. I asked to see the receipt for purchased parts. I then spoke to someone at the office who said they have a mark up on parts, which was still very over priced. Our "entire" screen room is 36' long and we were charged for 50' of track channel. Finally we were charged an additional $174 for parts and labor. The finished job looks very good. I found the whole experience to be very unprofessional, therefore we won't be using In Phaze Electric for any further electric work.
