In Phaze Electric started business in May of 2009. We are unlike any other electrical service and contracting company found in Orlando and the Central Florida area. We pay our technicians exceptionally higher than our competitors. We all understand the value of reputation and thank you in advance for the opportunity to earn your trust in business.. Most of our work comes from Angie's List and other online companies that are based on reviews and feedback from customers. We are an award winning company that strives to stay on top of current competitiveness. When contacting via-message center/email, please leave your phone number and zip code for easier, faster, and more convenient service.
These folks went went above and beyond EVERYTHING. Our air conditioning stopped working the night before (Friday) and we were lucky enough to have a great A/C company come out late Saturday who truthfully advised us that the problem was electrical and we needed a licensed electrician. The wiring in a box outside the house was all burned. We called In Phaze late Saturday after the A/C company left. I could not believe that this company sent a technician, Bobby Bell, late Saturday. Seriously, does any company still have this kind of customer service these days? Apparently In Phaze does! Bobby called and said he would be at our house in about an hour and a half. He was. Did I also mention tht Bobby drove almost an hour and half through horrible rain to get to our house because we had a safety concern? Bobby repaired the problem and advised us of a long term repair he recommended without any high pitched sale or scare. This company is awesome as far as I am concerned! I will call them for all of my electrical concerns (and I will ask for Bobby). Best service I've had since I can't remember when.
Description of Work: Re-wired deficient job from previous constractor.

Wow! I sure like to read reviews like yours. I can never write enough words or use enough vocabulary in the website or here on Angies List to describe to customers the effort that I as the owner and the technicians in the field put into In Phaze. I've been providing electrical service in Central Florida for 15 years now. In this time I have learned one major thing and is what I convey to anyone within In Phaze. CARE! You have to appreciate your customer and take the utmost care and do everything in your power to show them that you care. Owning and running a business is not all about making money. The money is a product of the care and effort you put into the business. The knowledge is a given. I don't hire electricians that don't know their stuff. I am thankful to all of our customers here on Angies list for the trust and loyalty they show by calling us. Tony Taylor Owner

This was not your standard circuit outage problem since we had already checked the panel, replaced the panel circuit breaker etc. He as very thorough, professional and courteous and was right on time. He discovered a loose neutral in one of the ceiling fans that was causing the problem. While he was diagnosing the main problem, he also found some other electrical problems that I did not realize I had and were outside the scope of the main problem and went out of his way to resolve them in record time. No question that he did more work than what he charged me. Definitely will call him again if I have any other electrical issues.

Called Tony on 5/14 based on other Angie's List experiences and was not disappointed. Discussed the proposed work with Tony, who offered to send Jamie to me around noon that day. Unfortunately, I was scheduled for an MRI that afternoon, so we agreed upon 9 AM the following day. Jamie showed up on time. He's a good guy and he instantly comprehended my requested work, giving me confidence in the whole process. After I showed him around, he was ready to estimate the job, which he did while sitting with my at my breakfast table. When he gave me the price, I asked him for the senior discount of 10% that was mentioned on this site, and he knocked it off without question. I added a couple of things to the job as long as I was going to have an electrician there for the day, so I gave back the discount -- sort of. Once I accepted the estimate, Jamie was prepared to complete the work on the same day. This is almost unheard of with tradesmen around this area. Typically, you have an idiot coming out to estimate and then some unconcerned dispatcher schedules the work, and then the contractor may or not show up and may or may not be on time. Not so in the case of In Phaze. They met their time commitments, interacted with me in plain English throughout the process, and made the whole thing a pleasant experience. One thing to note here is that if you have a significant job, the electrician might not have all the materials with him to do the job. Some large outfits have trucks stocked up with everything for all occasions, but they, too, frequently have to leave the site for an odd part here or there. Jamie left to pick up what he would need immediately when I approved the estimate, and he had to leave once again during the course of the job. However, he returned promptly in both cases and the work was completed within the agreed-upon timeline. Jamie stayed on the job long enough to have to call his wife to say he'd be late. Even so, he cleaned up after himself thoroughly (cutting drywall in a few locations left a lot of plaster dust and debris). When he was done, the place looked better than he found it! I appreciate that very much. I paid Jamie by check, and this is where the screwup came -- but it was MY screwup. I wrote different amounts on the two places one puts amounts on the check. Jamie didn't discover the error until he went to deposit the check the following morning. He called me, but I was driving at the time and would be hiking with my girlfriend all day. I told him that I would be available after 4 pm, after I was done. He called around then to tell me that his job finished early so he was already home, so would it be possible to come to my house the following day at 9 am. I agreed, he showed up on time, I apologized, and we exchanged checks. That was that. I had offered to go to a convenient place to give Jamie the right check, but he inconvenienced himself to come to my house to fix MY screwup. Again, very much appreciated. The 240 volt L6-20R outlet works, and that's what I wanted in the first place, along with the new panel to replace the FPE crap that was installed when the house was built 33 years ago. Another satisfied customer of In Phaze!
Description of Work: Per my specifications, replace my main 200 amp service entry panel and run new 60 amp service to an upstairs room, then run 20 amp, 3-wire 240 volt circuit to a wall outlet in that room.

He did a bang up job. He came on time and answered all of my questions. I plan to use him for future repair work as well.
Description of Work: He came to respond to inspection discrepancies. He replaced an outlet for me. It was an extensive job. He also fixed an exhaust fan in the bathroom and he was able to secure the frame where the vent sits in a way that was never done before. I feel like he did better than the builder. The fan makes less noise and you’re able to access and clean it now. This wasn’t even something I had asked him to do but he charged by the hour and did this for me anyway. He accomplished all of this in about a half an hour.

I called In Phaze after being given several high estimates from various electrical companies. I left a voice-mail message and the owner, Tony, promptly called me back that day. I told him that I needed to re-wire half of my house and upgrade the service to 200 amps. He was not pushy and sounded very earnest when he replied to my concerns. The following day, the technician, Jaime, arrived and provided a fair estimate. He then told me that he could begin that very same day. Jaime was extremely courteous and professional. I was very impressed by how much work he was able to accomplish just by himself. As the work progressed, Jaime encountered electrical issues that I was not aware of, such as old hidden sub-panels and burnt wires. I was extremely apprehensive in hiring someone to do contractual work because I always felt that I would be over-paying at some point. However, this is the first experience I've had where I feel that I had quality, professional work done at a reasonable price without having to argue or haggle my way through the estimate. The remaining payment was also contingent on passing county inspection, which really gave me an extra peace of mind. It has been over three months now since the installation; and I can honestly say that I have had no electrical issues. I will gladly use In Phaze electric in the future and am very great-full to both Tony and Jaime for making this a stress-free experience and providing such quality work.
Description of Work: I had In Phaze electric rewire an approximate 600 square foot area, replace an interior service panel, upgrade the service wire for 200 amp service, replace the exterior breaker panel, install a smoke alarm system, replace the receptacles, re-purpose the light switches, install exterior lighting, and add dedicated outlets for large appliances and bathroom.

Hi member, repeat business is uncommon these days. We try very hard to make a lasting impression on our customers. In your case I know we did. Sometimes I think the reason we don't get as much repeat business is because we always attempt to address the whole house on our visit. We dont wait for you to call we always give a full report on your home when we come out. I'm glad you called us back to finish that small project. Tony

Jamie arrived right on time, introduced himself and then asked me to tell him what my thoughts were. He analyzed the problem to be sure that replacement of the fan was really what I needed. He showed me how the old one had begun to wear out and slow down and let me be a part of the decision-making. No scare tactics, just straight forward conversation and information. I have asked for estimates to do a big job.

The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and was equipped with a ladder that was tall enough to reach the fixture. He quickly evaluated and diagnosed the problem, and then told me what exactly the issue was, and how to fix it if I needed to in the future. After fixing the issue, he explained that they charge by the hour, with a 1 hour minimum. Since the repair hadn't taken the full hour, he asked if I had any other electrical work that needed to be done, so as to get more value for my money. Unfortunately, I didn't, but I really appreciated that he made that offer, rather than just writing up the bill and leaving.
