The serviceman arrived on time. He was friendly and professional. He told me what the problem was with the breaker and replaced 5 smoke detectors that were hard to reach so my home feels more safe. I would use this service again.

I had In Phaze do a main external panel replacement, install a new mast through the roof, remove a sub panel inside the house, move wires from the inside sub panel to the exterior main panel, pull new wires for the range and water heater, and I'm sure I'm missing something. Lamont was great to work with (as was Jamie before him). The job took longer than either of us expected, but Lamont kept working until 3AM to finish the job even though I told him he could come back the next day. Found one issue on the water heater line but he came back a few hours to get it fixed. They are in my favorites.

The electrician came and was a bit late, but he called to let me know. Upon arrival he asked me a few questions as to whether or not there were any particular problems that we wanted to have checked. He was very thorough and actually checked every outlet in the house for correct output. He was very frank and honest, and knowledgeable. I expected a quickie inspection with loads of faults that would cost me a fortune. I was pleasantly surprised. All he said was that it would be useful if we had a surge protector installed centrally instead of having lots of smaller ones throughout the house. Not a bad idea, and I will certainly keep it in mind for the near future. I would definitely use them again.

he arrived and was attentive to what we wanted. We wanted to make sure all the electricity in the house was safe. he went into the rooms and up into the attic and said all was safe. We had been frightened by people in the area that the Villages did not build things properly and cut corners. We found a light that had no box and a light that went on and off by itself. The box had a lightbulb with too much wattage so we put a low watt one in and all is now fine. The existing wiring and switches are also checked out and fine. He said if fuses start blowing that would be a concern. none are but we would call him if that ever becomes the case. We talked about getting an attic fan and maybe running a new line in the future. We have gas but may in the future get a electric dryer and put in a microwave. The latter would need a new plug put in. We appreciate his expertise and feel more secure here now.

First off, I contacted In Phaze via Angie's List and received a reply message from Tony within 2 hours. I explained my problem and asked if they had any availability the next day (today) and he said Nick would be here between 12 and 2pm. Nick called at 11:45 and said he was on his way. When he arrived, Nick was polite, professional, and quick in replacing my dryer outlet. Even better, he went above and beyond by hooking up my dryer vent. He also explained various options for dealing with aluminum wiring in my house and possible kitchen lighting options. I would definitely use In Phaze again.

Let me start of by saying that as a owner of multiple properties, In Phaze has been the best contractor I've ever dealt with to date. From the very beginning, Mike Jackson provided us plenty of guidance in our design for the recessed cans through the interior. There was a lot of discussion around the best scenario based on my older home. All the work was done superbly and we couldn't be more happy with the results of the lights they installed. As I mentioned above, they also went above and beyond anything we expected and fixed our kitchen hood which was outdated by replacing the motor on the vent. Mike Jackson and his partner did a phenomenal job.
Description of Work: In Phaze provided several installations/repairs. They first added recessed cans through the interior of the home. Along the way they updated the switches and wiring bring them up to code. They added additional lighting in my garage were my wife and I work out. They provided a new breaker for some kitchen outlets that had too much load on them. They also went above and beyond anything we expected and fixed our kitchen hood which was outdated by replacing the motor on the vent. Mike Jackson and his partner did a phenomenal job.

Lemar and his colleague accommodated my request for the inspection and planning of the project. They came inspite of their busy schedule and in such a short notice and evaluated the electrical system. Both of them listened and gave suggestions on the technical aspects of lighting and the choices available. Together we made a plan and I got the estimate for the job required. Thank you for being upfront, professional and punctual. Will definitely recommend and use your services.

Top notch company - Tony the owner followed up on everything, and his electrician, Nick, was a total professional. We now consider them to be our electrician of choice for our new Florida home.

We had a very pleasant experience dealing with In Phaze Electric. Tony answered our calls right away. Jay was the electrician assigned to the job, and he showed up on time to evaluate the project. He was very professional, knowledgable, and he was also very curteous. We needed this job to be done within a week, and Jay was able to help us out within days. On the day of the actual installation, Jay again showed up on time. The work took a little bit longer than anticipated, but he stayed until the job was finished. We are very happy with the results, and would definitely recommend In Phaze Electric !! Thank you Jay and Tony, great work !

We went online to start out. They contacted us, gave us an estimate (which was considerably better than others), set up the installation, called the night before to confirm. Then they called that day to let us know they were on the way. Victor arrived in the time bracket set up, worked quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased with the results of In Phaze Electric. Will call them in the future for electrical work.

Response from In Phaze Electric, Inc.
This review I really don't understand. I did this inspection personally. I found many issues with improper wiring of switches, no gfi's, improper breaker sizes and broken receptacles throughout the home. I did a very complete and thorough inspection checking every electrical item in the home. They say that the business owner really has a finger on the pulse of economy and I can tell you this and i may have said this before in one of my replies to a review. Just 13 years ago the price I gave you would have been $100-$200 higher and likely sold on the spot. I, knowing this business inside and out having done it for the last 15 years in Orlando can tell you that the prices we were once able to give as fair is now being pushed down on average 20% lower than in those times. We all understand that the economy is bad but when you tack on the fact that our cost is 20% higher for gas, materials and everything else where does that leave us? This is a 40% cut in pricing no matter how you look at it. This is SCARY to me. Heading towards a third world scenario. I know that many, many more people are having unlicensed electricians do their electrical work and what I see now even is the mistakes that these unlicensed electricians are doing. 25% of our service calls are going behind these workers and some of what we find is quite scary. We are professionals working on your home, on equipment that can burn your home down with you and your family in it or at a minimum the fire inspector finds the faulty wiring and refuses to cover your losses. That is why we as a company carry a $1 million liability policy. There are absolutely no margins to work with anymore and the only thing we can work is our reputation. On top of everything else we have the gov. tightening things up and at the same time cutting things out on their end. For instance; you can purchase nearly anything you want from the internet but try getting a permit electronically. The contractor permitting process is in the stone-age and forget doing anything about it or you will find yourself under the microscope. I am fearful as a business owner. Orlando is a robust economy and culture, I cannot imagine what contractors and businesses must be going through in other not so robust areas of this country. It is like American business is under attack. I cannot fully understand why but I do know the results. Small business is becoming a thing of the past. Fascism seems to be the direction we are going. I do apologize for going on and on and hope not to offend, this may not be the place for it but I have a passion regarding this and I do hope to make a difference one day. On a more personal note regarding this review. I am blown away. A "D" for quality, I don't know what more I could have done in the inspection and when i left you said that you had no idea of all of the issues I had found. A "C" for responsiveness, I answered the phone the first time you called and was at your home at the exact time we had scheduled and was there for a little over an hour, this also ties in with the "C" for punctuality. The "D" for professionalism, that one really gets me. I being the owner am not typically working in the field so I am not dirty or sweaty and a dress very nice and my picture is on my website and i look the same today but a little heavier. The "D" for price is as I have said above, and in some other replies, a matter of opinion. We do have a high reputation in Central Florida, we do not and cannot compete with the next door neighbor electrician, the handyman or any type of unlicensed electrician. There are many expenses that we pay to keep this operation running. More than I think are fair but once again, a matter of opinion. Maybe the IRS should have a place for reviews :). I am blown away by this review, all I did was an inspection. I honestly don't know what more I could have done. Tony Taylor CEO

I am completely impressed with the service from In Phaze Electric. I mistakenly made a purchase to replace my entire electrical panel. Jeremy came over and took a look at everything, and in such an amazingly honest way, advised me that my electrical panel had already been upgraded. I did not need the service that I purchased. There were some odds and ends I needed fixed anyway, and Jeremy completed those in a professional manner and at a reasonable price.

We called In Phaze after seeing the high ratings here on Angie's List. The reviews here were spot on. Tony Taylor, the owner, took our call and coordinated for an estimator to come out and quote the job. Mike called me earlier than planned and got started right away. Within 30 minutes he had the job quoted. It was a few weeks before we got the job done, but all I had to do was email Mike and he got it on his calendar and started within 2 days. Mike and Nick were the service providers and worked meticulously to get the job done. Their professionalism, attention to detail and knowledge was superb. They finished when they said they would and cleaned up the job site. This is one of the few companies I have dealt with that understands that excellent customer service equals happy and repeat customers. I would highly recommend and use again.

Jamie was very pleasant and worked hard to complete everything in a timely fashion. I felt like the work was good quality for the price. I own multiple properties and have worked with various electricians and plumbers over the years. Although no one beats my electrician in Dallas (Freedom Electric), In Phaze did a solid job in Orlando and I would hire them again. In fact, I asked Jamie to come back and add 4 LED pot lights to the master bedroom this week. Keep in mind that my price may have been somewhat lower than typical work of this scope because the house was undergoing a renovation and I had everything opened up making work easier and faster. EX: No plates on any electrical, floors covered in plastic so work can be done quick / dirty / without much worry for clean up, no furniture, etc. You don't have to accept your house the way that it is, you can change it, sometimes for less than you think. The LED lighting is a great example. Sometime folks bulk at the initial price with the short view and don't realize how much money they can save. Yes the LEDs will save plenty on electricity and with their longevity but what isn't often considered is how much they save you on HVAC. These bulbs don't put off heat that make your air struggle to keep up. I highly recommend for Dallas and Florida.
Description of Work: After the inspection, which is essentially an estimate for work, I had the following completed: 4 LED pot lights installed in the kitchen, 3 exhaust fans replaced in the bathrooms with higher flow / quieter models, replaced 8 GFI receptacles and properly grouped the circuits.

I thought I was going to get a complete electrical inspection with the Angies Deal. This did not happen. The invoice I received was sent via email and did not show parts vs. labor breakdown. I know the parts were less than $50.00, and since the total time service tech was here was less than an hour, the labor charges are totally unjustified! I also received a quote to replace all the switches in my home (I have 8) for $425.00. I did this myself in less than two hours with a cost for parts of $27.68. I received additional quotes just as absurd, but needless to say, I really feel they took advantage of me. I will never use this Company again and cannot recommend them to anyone. BUYER BEWARE!

Dear customer, as with any time I see a bad review I want to get to the bottom of the story. The gps shows that Jaime was at the property for over an hour. We also provided you a 10% veteran discount and applied the $49 from the deal towards the bill. We spent $41.00 in material and provided a new $20 gfi and a new receptacle from our truck stock. I do understand that in these days and times that perspective of cost is somewhat of an opinion. In this case I would have to say it is a matter of opinion but as with any unhappy customer it is our loss and in the future feel free to call me directly to discuss these types of issues. We pride ourselves highly on being fair and honest.
