+ 0 moreDaniel was incredible. He moved the very heavy king size bed (I helped, but very little) to get to the existing fan. After Daniel removed the existing fan, he installed the new fan (in all the many steps that a Casablanca makes you go through) and then moved the bed back. Very kind and courteous and plan on using Daniel/Phaze again.

+ -1 moreIt took them about two months to do the job. He was having problems with ordering parts, labor and scheduling. One guy was working on it and then he had some labor issues, so I went through two guys. Once they did it, the work was fine.

I have another service that I usually use for electrical work but they wanted a service charge as well as the installation fee. I had already removed the old fan and it was an easy installation. They never contacted me, and when I inquired back to their initial response (that they would be contacting me), I was told that people in the office were not performing well, and I would have to contact them if I wanted any work done. I called the number they gave me, but there was no answer. This is very disappointing, because I have used them a few times previously (and paid them immediately upon completion of service) and they have provided good customer service in the past. I guess they are now very busy and do not feel the need to be responsive to Angie's List customers.
Description of Work: Requested someone to come and provide an estimate for a number of items I would like to have done at my home.

Communication with him was excellent as he is one of those rare individuals who actually answers his cell phone rather than calling back later. Written estimates were given and detailed receipts left. I can definitely recommend this company to anyone needing any type of electrical work.

Determined the problem is not with the house wiring etc. but is caused by the voltage coming into the house Duke energy's responsibility to correct & should cost us nothing. Follow up - Duke energy came out to the house & checked the voltage. The said the voltage coming into the house & said the voltage coming into the house was right - so nothing is any different than it was.
Description of Work: inspected home electrical system to determine why lights burn out very quickly & appliances have had electrical failures.

+ -1 moreThey promised a free estimate. Their technician arrived and advised us as to what needed to be done and the cost. I told him I would consider his offer and get back to him if I wanted to proceed. He then tried to charge us for the visit. When reminded it was supposed to be a free estimate, he made a call and then apologized and told us he wasn't aware the estimate was free. Fine. Apology accepted. No problem. I then called him a couple of days later and accepted his offer. He set the date and time of the service and I agreed. On the day the service was to be performed he called and asked to reschedule. Ok. No problem. The reschedule was set for five days later. On the next day service was to be done he didn't show up nor did he call. Calls to him were not returned. Ok. No problem. I contacted another electrician who agreed to do the job and, incidentally, for significantly less. I'll be referring my friends and family to that electrician in the future. No thanks to Angie's List for wasting my time with this dud.

+ -1 moreJeremy from In Phaze was very professional, friendly and knowledgable. He replaced an exsisting non-functioning GFCI for our septic pump/alarm with a better quality product. While investigating the old GFCI he took the time to explain to me about the outdoor circuit breaker and what additional outlets were on that same circuit. He worked quickly and cleaned-up after himself and was a really great guy.

Description of Work: Originally they were called to replace a GFC plug in the bathroom that was knocked out by one of our famous thunderstorms, but while Lamont was here, he started explaining the benefits and asked if we had Full Surge House Protection, and I explained to him no, but we were thinking of installing that with Duke energy. Well Duke not only charges you for installation, but then a fee per month. Lamont explained the benefits of their Full House SUrge Protection, the price, and no monthly fee, and added that to our list of things to do. While he was here my wife showed him our front door bell, which hadnt been working forever. Anyway, after diagnotics, and searching for the transformer. Door Bell works. I would not hesitate to call In Phaze for any of my electrical needs. This is either the third or fourth time I have needed them, and each time, the experience has been SUPER. and a special kudos to Lamont, he is knowledgeable, explains exactly what hes doing, and will answer any and al question. You will not find a bettre man around.

I really appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of everyone at this company, from Tony, the owner, as well as Bobby, the supervisor, and Jeremy, who did a great job for us. We'll definitely be using In Phaze Electric for future project needs!
Description of Work: Performed upgrade to electrical panel from 100amp to 200amp which included combining 2 separate outside panel boxes into one. (Increased difficulty due to aluminum siding having to be cut away). Also upgraded a breaker box for the AC unit. Also performed full inside audit inspection, including labeling the breakers in the panel. Also, installed a chandelier which included removing the old, incorrectly wired unit, sawing out a new, correctly sized hole, installed a new box, and wiring up the new chandelier.

+ 0 moreThe technician was Nick Jones and I can't say enough good things about him. One of the ceiling fans had a 72 in down rod and was a challenge. Nick was both polite and efficient. There were a few more challenges but he never stopped and just kept going until it was done. He did a great job and the fans look great. I would recommend this company and Nick himself very highly for someone who wants a professional job done from start to finish.

Tech had quoted 2 hours for the project which ran a smidge long but he stayed and completed the project completely. I will absolutely work with this company again. I have lots of little projects that I think they perfect for and I look forward to working with them in the future.
