They did the job fast and cleaned up very well afterwards. The quality of service was excellent and we are satisfied with the work done. The only thing we did not like was that none of them spoke English. We would use their services again if required.

A salesman Home Improvement Services came to inspect roof and offer a bid. Salesman presented pictures he took while on the roof which he claimed were of my roof which was in dire need of replacement. This was a Thursday afternoon. He claimed he could have a crew at my house the next day(Friday) as they already had a crew near-by they would have my new roof installed by Friday Night. I complained that the Price of $8500 was quite high. The salesman then assured me that I could get another bid and H.I.S would match any other price, even if the job had been completed. It is their Price Assurance Guarantee. His second warranty selling point was that the 30 Year Warranty would assure that the roof would last for 30 years and that any damage happening to my house as the result of a leaking roof would be replaced free of charge. After much pressure from the salesman concerning the awful shape of my present roof and because of the price guarantee and the 30 year Warranty I reluctantly signed the contract. He assured me that they would have the roof done tomorrow. (Friday) On Friday no one arrived to start the job. I had no contact from H.I.S. I finally called the salesman and was told that someone would get in touch with me. Sometime Friday afternoon a different rep call me to say that they could not get a permit from the City to do the job. I later found out that all contractors know that you cannot get a same day permit for a new roof. As it turned out it would have made no difference anyway, even after getting a permit no one showed up to start on the roof for over a week. When they did finally show up days later it was late in the afternoon. They managed to remove the old roof and install an underlayment. The house sat with half a roof for over a week because the wrong shingles were delivered . (At the time of the salesman's visit one of his big sales points was that his company is the sole distributor for IKO shingles with a 30 year warranty and that they have a vast warehouse well stocked with shingles and could have them delivered to the job site in a matter of hours) In the wait to finish the job I was able to get another bid on the roof. His bid was $3000.00 less than H.I.S. for a new roof with 30 year shingles. When confronted with the lower bid H.I.S. refused to reduce their price and claimed that the bid I got did not include the IKO 30 year warranty. After long discussions H.I.S. refused to match or reduce the price any at all. I finally gave up and paid. Then about 3 weeks later I received by mail the LIFETIME LABOR AND WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY. Lifetime warranty, sounds great until you read the reverse side. "Should repairs be necessary within the first 3 years H.I.S. will preform repairs at no cost." Repairs after 3 years will be done at a charge to the customer. Not quite 30 Years. The other roofer offered a 5 year warranty on Labor and 30 years on shingles. I consider this transaction a TOTAL FRUAD!

From the day of the estimate to three days later when the roof was installed, everything was done very professionally and completed in one day.

Job was done on time and when promised. I was not only given a 30 year warranty on the shingles, but was also given a 30 year warranty on the labor, both which are transferable to the next owner. The roof looks great.
