In preparing my home of 28 years for sale, I needed someone to do numerous small repair jobs around this house and to paint the interior, outside door and shutters. I also needed someone to install Slate on a large patio,walkway and steps at the home to which I was relocating. Checking Angie's List, the reports on Holden Handy men and Rudolf Stock were so impressive, I looked no further. Best move I ever made. Rudolf is the ultimate handyman. There is is little he can't do and do well. He also employs excellent helpers, as needed, depending on the scope and complexity of the job. Rudolf and his crew were on the job on time every morning and were very innovative in working around the many thunder storms they experienced in laying the slate. Rudolf works side by side with his helpers and ensures that they adhere to his high standards. If you want to hire someone who approaches his job every day in a friendly, courteous manner , and who is the consummate professional, give the Holden Handy men a call. You will not be disappointed.

Every detail was handled smoothly and professionally from start to finish. Rudolf ran into a problem with the concrete under the old floor because it was not properly finished. He purchased the correct material to level and seal the floor so that the new tile would adhere better. We had to leave town in the middle of the project but Rudolf completed the job in one day after our return. We are very pleased with the results and with Rudolf's attention to detail. His excellent suggestions regarding materials; not only saved us money but also add to the clean lines of our new 1/2 bath. We would certainly use the services of Holden Handymen again.

Our bathrooms were very out of date, from the 1960's. Also we had a sky light that was falling apart in one bathroom. Mr. Stock started on 1 bathroom, gutting it, replacing the dry wall, repairing the drainage system for the shower which had caused previous water damage. He then installed tile that I had chosen, redid the shower, put in a new sink and toilet, then painted. In the other bathroom after putting in new drywall he replaced the bathtub, tiled floor and tub walls, replaced sink and toilets, repaired the sky light. It looks better than it ever has since we moved in to this house. Then he painted. He made sure we always had one completely functioning bathroom so there was very little inconvenience to us.

He started the work on March 18th. The walls had a lot of imperfections that had to be either filled in, sanded or both. He smoothed out all the imperfections that I pointed out and some that he found on his own. He painted all the rooms with the paint that I provided. They look one hundred percent better than they did before. He did an excellent job. He even moved most of the furniture himself. When it came to the cabinets, I really didn't know exactly what color I wanted. Mr. Stock went to Home Depot and brought back some paint samples and some knob samples. I chose a paint called sweet molasses and some transparent knobs. He bought the paint and the knobs. He painted the cabinets and installed the knobs. The cabinets are beautiful. I was considering having them replaced. I'm glad I didn't. They would have cost at least three times as much. He installed a dead bolt lock on my back door and a fancy new faucet on my kitchen sink. He had to go to Home Depot to get extra parts for the faucet installation. I provided the lock and the faucet. I am extremely pleased with all the work he did. It took a week to finish up everything. Mr. Stock is an excellent worker who is very good at what he does. He didn't ask for any money until the job was completed. The final cost was $1,795.00. I increaased it to $1,850.00. I felt he deserved a little extra.

I called Rudolf to come and give me an estimate on several projects that needed to be done in my 1984 home. He was on time and gave me his estimates that night by email. I chose the projects that I wanted him to do first and we scheduled a time to start. He showed up each day on time and worked all day. Rudolf is a very nice person, hard worker, and did a very professional job in all aspects. I highly recommend him. He did the work the right way and cleaned up.

The pipes that supply water to the shower had begun to leak. These pipes were installed between the bedroom and bathroom walls. The leaks were found and repaired, but the drywall in the bedroom wall and ceiling had to be torn up in order to find the leaks. The bedroom and bathroom drywall had developed mole be cause the leaks had been going on for 5 or 6 months before they became evident. The plumber informed me before hand that they would not repair the drywall once the leaks were fixed. The plumber also said that the shower wall that held the tiles was almost ready to collapse. After consulting Angie's List, I called Holden Handymen, Inc. for an estimate on repairing the drywall. Mr. Rudolf Stock came to my house and looked at the problem. He suggested that rebuilding the shower would probably be better in the long run than replacing the one shower wall. After listening to his reasons, I agreed. He did an absolutely beautiful job. He bought all the materials and did not ask for any money until the job was completed to my satisfaction. He showed up each day when he said he would. The job took about a week to complete. He cleaned up each day after the work. The final bill was $1,148.00. I was so pleased that I rounded it up to $1,200.00.

Rudy was an artisan, not just a handyman. He started and finished the job exactly on time. He and his assistant arrived exactly on time every day and put down dropcloths before they started working. They vacuumed up the bath when they finished each day, limiting the residual dust. Rudy consulted us at each step of the way, and his suggestions were always spot on. When he left at the end of the job, you would have been hard-pressed to find evidence that construction had taken place. Everything about this renovation job was professional, courteous, and satisfying. I strongly recommend Holden Handymen to anyone who needs a renovation and wants the best!

Rudolph and his assistant were polite, friendly, and totally competent. They were so quiet in their work that my next door neighbor asked me when I was getting the work done, this a week after they had finished. Working with contractors can be a nightmare, but with these 2 men, it was a dream. I can't say enough to praise these 2 men.

I was very pleased with Rudolf's professional manner and punctuality. It's refreshing having someone show up when they say they will. He performed excellent work and provided great suggestions on tile layout for the shower walls. He worked around my delays in procuring the tub and vanity. Also I felt very comfortable leaving Rudolf in my house alone. He's very trustworthy. I would definitely use Rudolf again.

Rudolf was friendly and professional. He started on time, finished on time, and was punctual every day. He was very flexible about picking up supplies and adding items to his punch list.

I called them on July 17th and they never called back. That was two weeks ago.

Make sure that requested quote specifies Labor & Materials as opposed to labor only.

He's the nicest guy and did a very good job. He's also German and one evening even brought us a German meal to try and it was delicious.

I selected Holden Handymen after receiving 2 other costlier estimates from other companies for replacing the siding only. I contacted Rudolf via email and he phoned me that same evening to set up an appointment to give an estimate the following day. Based on other reviews of Holden Handymen on Angie's List, I asked that the estimate include painting the entire exterior of the house. The price was still the best and Rudolf's swift response to my questions was exceptional. Holden Handymen showed up when they said they would and completed the work by the date promised. I would not hesitate to call them again in the future.

They did not dispose of the old tile, but they did bag it and put it on the curb. They did a good job of removing the tile and cleaning up the area. They did the entire job in only three days.

Rudolph and his helper were very knowledgeable and professional. They arrived on time and worked very hard every day they were here. He was willing to do whatever was needed to get the job done and even offered to pick up items that were too large for us to handle. They found a spot where moisture had entered the walls from before and sealed it up to prevent further problems. We felt very comfortable with them in my home and hope to use them again on our other bathrooms.

I didn't have any work done because he refused to even take a look at it. I don't understand why a company like this is even listed on Angie's List.

Rudolf and Craig are extremely dependable, creative and conscientious. They suggested recycling some of the exterior wood to save us the cost of new materials and to reduce waste. They suggested adding the gutter and spout to save us future water damage. Rudolf and Craig arrived on time every day, performed their work for the amount quoted, provided receipts for all materials, and were affable and accommodating to any request or change in direction. Their workmanship and professionalism have far exceeded that of other handymen we've hired in the past.

Rudolf and Craig were professional and prompt, arriving on time every day and always working a full day. They were responsive to all our requests and were able to make all necessary adjustments to electricity and plumbing. They picked up materials from vendors and accommodated all request for changes and adjustments. Part of the bathroom renovation involved maintaining existing furniture and tiles, and they were successfully able to integrate new features while maintaining the integrity of the old ones, even adding new elements such as trim and toe kicks for an updated look. Even through homeowner miscommunication (husband wanted popcorn ceiling turned into knockdown, wife wanted smooth), Holden Handymen were diplomatic and accommodating without issue. Overall, a very positive experience.

Rudolf, the German owner of Holden Handymen Inc. and a very friendly person, came to the estimate appointment in time. I got a good rate on the work, considered what was included. When they started the work, Rudolf and his helper started every workday at 9 am. They covered the floor with plastic, took good care of all my new furniture. Work was absolutely professional and the result was more than what I expected. Rudolf and his helper made the work a nice experience. It was a pleasure working with such a nice craftsman. I never had to pay any upfront cost, Rudolf said: "You pay on the end of the project and only "when you are completely satisfied". Holden Handymen Inc. has only prescribed workers employed (very important to my security) He is properly licensed and ensured and has very good references. When I am ready to paint the exterior of my house I will definitely call Rudolf.
