Our house had a flat tar and gravel roof, that desperately needed to be replaced. Harrison was quick to come and inspect our roof and lay out multiple options that would work for our roof with a low pitch. They also gave us the best rate for our large home (2,500 square feet)! I am so thankful we decided to use them, as their professionalism and customer service far exceeded anyone else I reached out to during this very stressful process. They ripped off the existing roof, replaced it, and left our house clean with a beautiful new roof. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Hodges Brothers Roofing put a new roof on my house and afterwards there was massive water intrusion. They say this is not their problem and they will not be fixing it. I recommnd avoiding this company because they fail to stand behind their work. Long Version: In July of this year (2017) Hodges Brothers Roofing replaced the old and failing metal roof on my house with a new shingle roof. The crew leader was Harrison and he seemed professional and helpful. Unfortunately this seems to have been an act. After they told me the roof was completed I was treated to a strong smell of mildew in my house. I soon noticed streaks on my outside wall where water would run down from under the eaves when it rained. I went up to my attic and found water intrusion in the attic. Harrison came back out and did some work but later that week the mildew smell had returned and there was a new streak on my wall. Harrison came back out and suggested a partial gutter. I agreed to this provided it would solve the problem of water intrusion and subject to the approval of the Historic Board. Since I was not confident this would solve the problem I went into the attic and removed the insulation to get a good look at the leak. To my surprise the entire side of the house showed water intrusion under the eaves. Clearly a partial gutter would not work and a solution would be needed for the entire 25? section. I informed Harrison of this via text. He did not get back to me. I phoned him early the next week and he informed me that he had received the text but had not bothered to respond. He said that the leak was not coming through the roof but rather through the soffit where the water would run off the roof, down the flashing onto the fascia and along the bottom of the soffit into the house. He went on further to say this was not their problem and they would not be taking any action to correct the 25? long leak. He explained this was because the roof was installed per code and he was not responsible if water leaked through the faschia or soffit. I disagree: I feel that a competent and professional builder would do what is necessary to ensure that their roof worked properly with the fascia and soffit and that there would be a functioning drip edge. We are now going on the 4th week of water intrusion (it is 8-8-2017). Removal of the insulation went a long way toward alleviating the mildew smell. However the smell remains and my dog is getting sick. I conclude that the wood construction of the house is now moldy and mold remediation will be necessary. I can no longer wait for Hodges Brothers Roofing to take responsibility for their work and will be taking care of this myself. In an attempt to speak to someone other than Harrison, I have placed a call to their home office and am waiting for them to respond. Hodges Brothers Roofing seemed professional right up until there was a problem that would cost them money to solve. This is when a company with good customer service and true integrity would step up and do what is necessary to solve the problem. Hodges Brothers Roofing did not do this despite their claims of top-notch customer service on their website.

Very pleasant and seemed professional. Repaired the roof with what they said was guaranteed for 5 years labor and 15 years on product. 4 years later the material has peeled off. Took 6 emails 3 phone calls and 3 months to get them to look, they put a small "patch" which has since bubbled up, and then blamed that the manufacturer was not returning calls. I called mfg rep and he came and told me there was no guarantee and they did not do the job as they had contracted. They shrugged and said I would have to pay $100,000 to fix what they messed up, and they were sorry. They did not put what the contract called for, and will not fix.

I got an estimate of $2800.00 from Curtis Hodges to replace a portion of roof panel, several roof shingles, rain gutter and the eave. After they removed the rotted eave it was determined the roof panel and shingles replacement was not needed and the price was lowered $600.00 even though that would have been the bulk of the work. When the job was completed Curtis informed me the rain gutter had the proper drainage, but when the rain season started the gutter was backing up and would eventually cause the same damage that had just been repaired. I called Curtis Hodges and informed him of this and he then told me the screen frame prevented the proper leveling the gutter indicating he was aware the job was done improperly and gave me a false statement. I will have to hire a different company to complete the job properly but in the meantime I rehung the gutter myself. According to his website dependability, integrity, quality, and you don't pay until 100% satisfied are the reason to hire them, but in my case that is the exact opposite of the work he performed for me.

Mr Hodges himself came out along with his brother to give us an estimate. They were on time, professional, courteous, and friendly. They explained the whole process and gave us many choices i.e. types of shingles, warranties available , etc.. They answered all of our questions and did a fantastic job! They made some sugestions as to how to heat/cool the house better but suggesting a particular type of attic fan. They were never pushy. Arrived on time, finished on time, and the clean up was amazing. They never asked for a dime befire they started and emailed my invoice when the job was done. A very pleasant experience. Would advise anyone needing any roof work, repair or replacement to save themselves the time and just call and quot;Hodges Brothersand quot;

Curtis and his team were fantastic from the beginning. We had a particularly difficult situation and had been through several previous attempts at a fix with other companies, but none of them worked until Hodges Brothers came. Their work was excellent. You conldn't tell they had ever been there when the job was completed. The were ontime, worked effienciently and delivered a superior service. Their price was fair, and they asked for no deposit, saying and quot;when you are satisfied is when we get paid.and quot; After dealing with other roofing companies for fixes and estimates, I can tell you Curtis and his team restored my faith that there are good roofing companies that take pride in their work and deliver on their promises.

This company is a family owned business and one that I will use again and highly recommend. The re-roof was done fast and well, and then when a tree hit the roof after a storm, they came back right away to do just a little repair. Curtis is very friendly and professional, and cam out again after a driving rain forced some water behind a window. The combination of professionl work ethic, friendly customer service, and prompt attention when needed are very appreciated.
Description of Work: Provided re-roof, and came back for multiple repairs after trees hit, storms, etc.
