Gwen - who was my salesperson - showed me many models and was helpful. I told her that I had a very small laundry room with an upright freezer door that might present a problem due to space. I purchased the dryer and told Gwen that I would call if I needed to cancel because of space restrictions. I did call within 1/2 hour because if I purchased the dryer, the freezer door would not be able to open. I decided I must move the freezer from the tiny room and called HH Gregg, delivery department to ask for the name of their delivery people. I thought I would be able to hire them to move the freezer then they would be able to install the dryer. Wrong, "we can't give you their name" But, this company is a sub contractor - sorry, etc. The overall culture of HH Gregg come across - buy our item, but if you have any problems too bad, because it's your item now. FYI Previously I had purchased my entire kitchen appliances from this company. I will never shop there again.

We bought an appliance package for a great price and also opted for the extended warranty. When it was delivered the microwave was damaged. Upon taking it back to the store the manager attempted to tell us we had done it and the damage was not covered. About 15 minutes later he looked deeper into his computer notes and saw that it had been notated that a damaged microwave was delivered and that they had in fact already received our new one at the store. All of this, had been done without our knowledge and we only found out after them trying to get us to buy a second one. Now a year later our dishwasher has stopped working and the control panel smells like smoke. We did some research and found that this was a common problem. When we stopped by the store the sales person told us it would be no problem and he gave us a card. When we called the number on the card we got a call center for appliance direct. Now we have been back and forth for a month because their repair folks are over worked and booked solid. They have left the fire hazard in our house and we can only hope that the new panel fixes the problem and that it only takes one more visit. At the time of sale we were told this warranty was a replacement warranty.

Description of Work: Attempted to schedule a repair on a Samsung washing machine on which i purchased an extended or as they call it a "Premium Service Plan". They make it so difficult if not impossible to get through their automated phone service and once you do demand so much information it is virtually impossible/impractical to use their extended service plan. Also, when i purchased the machine they gave me a coupon for reimbursement to cover the cost of delivery which, of course, I never received. The sales people are very nice which leads you to believe you are dealing with a reputable company but they are far, far from being in any way a responsible business. I have called one of the appliance repair companies on Angie's List to handle the repair and i'll pay out of pocket rather than going through the h*** of dealing with HH Gregg.

I have always found the in-store personnel to be very helpful and knowledgeable, but beware their service contracts. Service from this group is simply an extension of the HHGregg company. Honestly, I didn?t think I could ever be possible to match my last service fiasco with HHGregg?s contract service organization. I find HHGregg has a new company handling their service plans. I must to be cheaper, since it sure isn?t any better. The old company at least understood English. For several reasons, my last service plan resulted in my Samsung 61? DLP TV being out of service for over 2 weeks. Here?s the latest experience. The lamp blew out on Saturday 8/17. The service plan expired on 8/11?6 days after the contract expired. I stopped by the West Colonial, Orlando FL store and they called the new service plan location. Naturally, the only work Monday thru Friday, so it was a pointless activity. I called 800-KEEP NEW (number provided by the store) this morning 8/19 as instructed by the store and was immediately given a different number to call?866-856-0212, option 4, then 2. Emily answered and graciously told me there was nothing they could do?contract expired 6 days prior to the lamp failing. She gave me a new number to call, 888-987-4357 for Samsung service. It turns out it is Samsung service, but only for the mobile instruments. They transferred me to the television service division. Rafael answered and explained there was nothing that they could do, but he gave me the number of 800-327-4368 for a Samsung parts provider. Guess what? That number doesn?t even belong to a Samsung location. I?m still trying to find a lamp. I called HHGregg customer service and requested a number to get the lamp I need. I was given the number 800-905-9505 to A & E Factory Service. Explained what I needed and was immediately transferred. Waited on hold for 17 minutes and which time Amy answered. I gave her my name at which point she simply cut me off and disconnected the call.

The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable. The delivery and installation went just like clock work...very punctual; in order; and smooth install.
Description of Work: Walked into the store and was surprised that they had the stainless steel kitchen "set" of appliances on sale for $1777 and a w/d set for $535. After extras and delivery price went up, but I am getting 2 rebates, $400 for appliances and $69 for delivery. Delivery and set up as well.

Description of Work: I would never buy another product from HH Gregg, and I would recommend anyone considering them be extremely careful about your delivery and installation, as they will refuse to correct any issues once the product is delivered. I purchased a washer and dryer from HH Gregg on East Colonial. They delivered the washer and dryer was delivered to my own, but set up as a stacked unit outside of my home. It was not until I moved later and unstacked the units did I learn that the delivery men had taken the top off of my washer to stack the units. This was the first time I had ever seen the units unstacked and had no idea that the top would have been taken off, because I do not install washer and dryers for a living. As I did not have a top to my washer, I visited the store to deal with the issue. However, Rick Rieves, the store manager on Colonial, refused to even consider that they provide me with the top that was never provided to me. In fact, he was incredibily rude and only mentioned that because I signed a piece of paper saying I was happy with my delivery, they did not owe me a piece of my washer I had already paid for. Mr. Rieves then advised me it would cost $102.00 to get the top of the washer. When I contacted corporate, they said the exact same thing. However, as I did not know of the defect, based on the lack of ability to know of defect, at the time of delivery I requested they provide me with the top of the washer. I am now pursuing small claims court to get the complete washer I paid for. After looking into the better business bureau, HH Gregg has had 1,000 complaints over the last 3 years and a D - rating. For a company that preaches customer service, there seems to be a reason they have a D- rating.

I just cannot say enough good things about HH Gregg's customer service and how well they back their products and go the distance after the sale. I originally bought a LED TV from them a few years ago and got a great price on it. It took me a year after before I even saw someone come close to the price I got it for. I then went back a few months later to get a new washer and dryer. After a few months we were noticing the washer was just not perfoming well at all and it was not cleaning our clothes properly. We had it serviced and the technician told us it ran fine, but that type was just not the best at cleaning. I contacted HH Gregg and spoke to Dustin. Not only was he helpful, apologetic and understanding, but he welcomed me to bring the old washer back and pick a new one. I did just that, and he even gave us a great discount on the new one for our troubles. New washer works great. We then bought a dishwasher that was supposed to be one of the best on the market. We were less than impressed and contacted Samsung. Samsung initially said they would refund my money or give me a new dishwasher. We took a week to decide and could not get a call back for months. Told Dustin again what was happening and again he went above and beyond. He arranged to have my dishwasher picked up, deliver a new one and have it installed. They did not even install mine the first time. You cannot beat their customer service and follow through after the sale. They are above and beyond the competition and have great deals.

way better than my previous experience with another company. The ordering online was easy, the only downside is their customer service center is only open 8-5 EST so you can't call after hours to order installation, you can only order delivery online. I called them the next morning, i was in a hurry and didn't wait for them to call me back, and got installation added and a date which was the next day, Saturday, the first company i've heard of that will do installs on the weekend. I got a call from the installers the next morning confirming the install time window and and hours before arriving another call they were on the way. It was replacing an old dishwasher, everything went smooth, in about an our they were done and i had a new working dishwasher, they were nice and professional. I plan to order the rest of my appliances from there.
Description of Work: I ordered a dishwasher online from there. I tried sears and Lowes and this model of dishwasher with them would have taken 1 to 2 weeks to be delivered. I purchased delivery online but no options to purchase installation. A call to customer care, they added that to the order and gave me a install date, and since it was in a hurry, on a Saturday!

My experience with HHGregg was fine. It was a price match against another store and they were real good about it. I already knew exactly which model I wanted but I understood that their service was good and I know that the store where I had gotten the original price, I was not that happy with the way I was treated there so I went over to Greggs to see if they could match the price and they did. The salesman spent a lot of time. It was a closeout item and they had to scale one up from another store which he did. It was delivered as promised and they took away the old TV which weighed a ton.
