+ -1 moreRefrigerator/freezer stopped cooling completely, on a Friday night. Harvey & Son were here first thing on Monday. (I had put in a couple of frantic calls over weekend and got a call-back on a Sunday!) Determined that motherboard (or equivalent) element went bad; ordered a new one and had it installed within 24 hours. An attentive, knowledgeable, and wise team! A few weeks after that, I called them when it was determined by a vent cleaning company that my dryer was not venting properly. Harvey determined that the debris was collecting at the back of the dryer rather than filtering through the venting system. They removed the dryer back and saw all debris; then completely cleaned debris from machine (big mess inside), and the problem was completely solved. Not a spec of lint or dust remained at the worksite!
Description of Work: Fixed Whirlpool 4 yr old refrigerator; fixed 4 yr old clothes dryer

+ -1 moreThey were wonderful. My dryer works perfectly. I used this company about 15 years ago when I had a different dryer problem.
Description of Work: Harvey and his helper reassembled the clothes dryer I took apart and cleaned. My dryer smelled like something was burning. So I looked online and took it apart and cleaned out the lint from the interior of the dryer. I could not figure out how to put it back together.

Description of Work: Very nice man! Staightforward. Knows his stuff - was previously a Sears Repairman. Repaired my thermostat on my freezer and the timer on my washer - both at a very reasonable price. Suggested I keep a thermometer in the freezer and explained in detail the ideal temperatures for freezer and refrigerator. Also, explained that manual controls are best, but hard to find anymore. Everything has electronic panel now and they are difficult to repair. There are a few remaining companies that make manuel controls and Mr. Harvey advised what to look for in the future when the time comes to replace existing appliances. He's a man of his word and takes control confidently when things seem out of control. I would recommend Harvey's Appliance repair to anyone.
