My upstairs unit quit about 9 months ago and my downstairs unit was not cooling enough and had a leak. As a result my utility bills were more than normal. Estimates to repair were too expensive so I decided to just replace the units. From start to finish Greens is by far one of the most professional companies I have ever done business with. I had several estimates but Tim from Greens was the only one who did a Manual J load calculation which determined my home"s exact BTU requirement. This set them apart from the others and helped me in deciding which systems were best for my home. In doing my research I read that this calculation is critical to getting the right system. Greens really wanted my business and since I had a couple of other competitive bids I was able to negotiate for a few extras at no additional cost. On installation day the technicians arrived on time and were as professional as Tim said they would be. The job took 3 days and installers cleaned up hauled away all the mess. I'm very confident that Greens will stand behind their work if I should have any problems covered under warranty.

We have had problems with the drain line since the AC was replaced in 2004. We also have had several companies out saying that they have cleared the line and that we won't have any more problems with it. This time we heard the drain line backed-up and running into the box. I called and they responded within 2 hours. Technician Scott told/showed me what was wrong and what would be needed to fix the problem(s). When he finally got the drain line cleared (it was so backed-up that it took several attempts) and showed me what came out of the line, he explained that it had been there since 2004. Since we had also had problems with the float switch he recommended and subsequently replaced it (in the correct location) after he re-did the drain line from the unit. He also showed me the build-up on the evap coil and recommended to have it cleaned, which would bring everything to 100%. After cleaning the coil, he proceeded to check all of the levels and also the outside unit (it had no problems). Since we had him out and he made the repairs, our home is now much cooler and the unit isn't running as often.

It all started when I noticed that my burners were not igniting, so I had no heat, just air. I was also due a regular maintenance visit as part of my program...to their credit, Greens had called several weeks before reminding me of this, but I had been having trouble with my answering machine. The messages were lost, and I forgot about it until this problem surfaced. I felt very badly for not returning their calls, and apologized when I contacted them regarding this issue. Anyway, they sent a tech out the same day! Scott is just the coolest - very smart and technically proficient, with a clever wit. He quickly detected the problem and fixed it (loose connection). He then explained what caused it and how to prevent/fix it again if needed. Scott then performed a full maintenance on the heating system including cleaning the filter and recommending a better one. The best part is that I was NOT charged for a service call, and had great heat and a clean system, all in less than an hour. He also made notes of my serial/model numbers for upgrade parts in the future. Just a great guy, great tech, and a great company!

With some unusually cold weather coming into Central Florida, I accidentally forgot to have our oil tank filled and our furnace stopped working after having it refilled. I had originally tested it in early October after reading a newsletter recommending doing so before any cold weather came around. Everything ran just fine as far as I could tell. It was only my second winter in Florida and the first one in this house, so I didn't really think we were going to use it anyway. When it came finally time to really use it, we burned through an entire tank of oil(150 gallons)in about a week in a half. Greens came out that afternoon and filled up the tank for me but when I got home and tried starting up the furnace, it kicked on and shutoff just after 30 seconds and wouldn't stay on. I called Greens again the next morning and they were able to get a technician out to me within 2-3 hours to check things out. Turned out the furnace had probably never been cleaned(it s about 10 years old). Dan, the technician that came out, showed me everything he was doing so I understood why it wasn't working. The whole house was nice and toasty within a few minutes. It's been a few weeks now and I still have plenty of oil left!

I like the reputation that they had. I had him come to the house in an emergency situation. He got right to work and fixed it. He was professional and did an excellent job. I even called the company to tell them what a good technician he was.

Completely evaluated size of house, number of windows etc. The salesman was very knowledgeable and offered us many options. Reviewed what we were looking for in a complete replacement unit and with that narrowed down he gave us 3 options to chose from. We chose the top of the line, but there was no pressure to do so. The salesman was always available.

They did an excellent job all the way around. They were easy to work with. They were communicative. The price was competitive and I was satisfied with their work. He even offered us a discount because my neighbor had a system put in at the same time. I would highly recommend this company.

Sharon took my call about 7:30 am. She said someone would be out late morning or early afternoon. Ernie arrived at 10:00 am. Ernie checked the air conditioner, came in gave us a report of the problem. He explained everything to my husband and me. He was very patient with all our questions. He cleaned the coils and added freon and left.

We were very happy with the service. The tech (George) was very knowledgeable, worked quickly and efficiently. Our AC had not been serviced by anyone in years, so he recommended that we sign up for a service program which, in the end, lowered our overall bill for that day. We were happy with the prompt service since our AC died on July 4th when it was very hot. They were able to send someone very early on Sunday, July 5th, and our AC was restored and working by mid-morning. The only minor glitch was when I looked at my credit card statement online a few days later. It showed that the charge for $490 had been billed twice. I had to call Greens to clear this up, which was a minor inconvenience. However, they told me they would take care of crediting my account by $490 that same day, and sure enough the credit showed on my statement a few days later.

I cannot express how impressive this company is as well as its employees. Shannon, the technician, was very punctual. Extremely nice guy and very competent! He walked me through the whole process of what the job entailed... I had called because of the drain backing up, and wanted that cleared as well as everything else checked as part of the first routine maintenance (I ended up signing on as a new customer at a very good price). He calmly but exhaustively cleared that drain line by continuously drawing fresh water through it with a well-sealed shop vac. I could not believe the amount of sludge that came out. NO other company had ever done this - they had blown through some compressed air and left it to eventually clog again. Shannon explained the futility of that method and did it the right way! Every time he finished a task, he would start another... At one point I was commenting about what a great job he had done and when could I expect him back, and he said "but I'm not done... Still have about an hour to go" ??? Awesome! He did so many things that I had not expected since I had never seen other companies do them. My unit has never run better, and I'm sure that my power bill has dropped. I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER AC SERVICE OTHER THAN GREEN'S AGAIN! - I hit it completely out of the park with this one - thanks Shannon, Green's and Angie's!

It was excellent. The gal that answered the phone was very pleasant. She called back to let me know he was coming. He came earlier than she had anticipated, which was not a problem. He was very nice and polite.

They were very fast and got the job done. They knew what they were doing. Also the price was very reasonable. They were very friendly and easy to deal with. They came out quickly after we had called.

On July 4th, my air conditioner stopped working in the middle of a party. I contacted Greens, hoping that I could schedule them to come out and repair this unit. Thankfully, they were able to send someone to my home within about 30 minutes of my initial call. He was able to determine that the capacitor in the unit needed to be replaced, and he replaced this unit very quickly and efficiently. The unit still runs very well since then. There was a bit of a discrepancy on the pricing of that part, but other than that, I have no complaints. If I needed air conditioning work done again, I would definitely call Greens.

Sean from Green's gave me insights of how to keep my unit operating well between tune ups. He gave me information no other service person had ever given me on keeping my unit up. He was wonderful!

She was delighted and impressed with this company. She had been using another company for many years (who is rated highly on AL) but was not happy with their service. She cannot say enough good things about Greens.

I would never use them to do any work at all. They were not very professional about the job. They had showed up on time to get the information from me.

He is really top notch. He did a great job and charged a fair price. I had other estimates of $1000 and he charged me $150! He was great to work with and was very honest and professional. I will use Greens again whenever I need HVAC work.

Our Heating and AC unit was replaced about 3 years ago by an incompetent and unprofessional technician who was referred to us by our neighbor. On the advice of our neighbor and after talking with the gentleman, we agreed to a relatively low price. (We had temporarily forgotten the Caveat Emptor warning of "buyer beware" and that "you generally get what you pay for.") We did not have a reliable source for pre-screening our service companies at that time. We duplicated the mistake several times by calling out two other companies to "find a Freon leak" all three of whom told us they found it and charged us for the call and for Freon. We had a third company send us a letter and the salesman came out and "rebuilt" our present system, which really was only two years old at that time. Within three months after they "rebuilt" our system, the unit was freezing up. We called them. They came out and just barely under the three month warranty they gave us, "repaired the leak." And then gave us a "no charge" invoice with a $140 charge for the Freon. I, of course, refused to pay it. Good thing too, because the unit failed within another three months. Since I didn't want my wife to go through another summer without whole house AC. (I DID put a bedroom A/C in myself, so she did have a place to go "cool off," and to keep our energy costs from gong through the sky.) And I checked Angie's List and found Greens Energy Service. I gave them a call on Monday afternoon and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. The very knowledgeable (and experienced) service man showed up, inspected the unit, found the leak, (actually showed me that it was the coil line), and gave me an estimate of what it would take to replace the coil, recharge the system and give me a one year guarantee. I told him to go ahead. He called his office and had the correct new coil delivered to the house, without ever leaving our home. He got it done in short order, stayed until water was coming out of the overflow and the house was cooling off beautifully. He was at the house for about three hours. My wife is very pleased. They will be our main company from now on.

The price was excellent and they did a good job. They were on time and even followed up afterwards. I would use them again.

He came over on time. He told me the reason for my water leak, and the price. He cleaned out my drain pipe, and gave a full inspection of my cooling systems. He gave me recommendation to put white vinegar in, and where to put it. He did not joke around, and was very considerate. He left after a short time. I love Greens.

Green's comes to my home twice a year to replace the filters and check that everything is running properly. They have been a life saver for me. They are always prompt and call me to remind me it's time for service. They are a very professional company.

Green's Energy Service was listed on Angie's List and I gave them a first time call. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time and were thorough in their check up. No issues were found and I feel they did a good job with the maintenance. I would have no problem referring them to others.

They did what they said they would and were honest about any problems that they found. They inspected my units and provided me with recommendations for my unit s best performance. They did a really good job cleaning up, were professional and I would highly recommend them.

He was professional, courteous, clean, thorough, punctual, and reasonable.

They did an excellent job, from the initial site visit for the estimate and recommendation to the installation. Everyone worked hard and were polite. They cleaned up and removed everything and the lead technician took the time to go over maintenance procedures and recommendations, before leaving. The job took extra help, it was unbelievably hot work, and took them most of the day to complete. I was impressed with their professionalism and desire to do an good job.
