After a fiasco having a new dishwasher installed in my older home, I called Grace Plumbing. They were able to come out that day. The plumber was efficient and knowledgeable. I am so happy with this company. It was a completely no stress event; at least for me. I will be calling them for any future plumbing needs.

I called Grace Plumbing when another plumber I had called couldn?t find a pipe leak in our home. Kevin with Grace Plumbing used an infrared camera and found the leak right away. He then repaired the pipe while explaining the whole process and patiently answering my questions along the way. Kevin is very knowledgeable. Since the pipe leak had caused a good bit of water damage to our kitchen and family room Kevin recommended a company that dried our home and replaced cabinetry and flooring. The best part is they billed our insurance company so it cost me nothing out of pocket. Thank You Grace Plumbing for all your help!

Repairman seemed to have minimal experience and knowledge. They charged a high fee but did not actually fix anything. They only ruled out one of the possible causes of the problem. The same issue was later fixed by a different plumber. Additionally, the repairman actually broke part of the faucet's functionality due to his lack of of attention to detail. After I brought this to their office's attention later in the day, the repairman returned the next day to fix what he had broken. Unfortunately, he again made things worse my not properly tightening the drain connection (which I later fixed myself). On a separate item during the original visit, they gave a very high $450 fee estimate. After I said I would not have them do that repair, they immediately reduced the fee by $100. Given their lack of inspection of the problem and the obviously inflated fee, I chose not to have them repair this item and have since gotten the repair done by another plumber at a fraction of the Grace's plumbing estimate. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL UPDATE: After I posted the above review, the owner contacted me. He apologized for the results and said that the problems were due to the subcontractor which he used for the job. He said he wanted to make things right since I experienced problems with the service call. He then gave me a full refund for the service call. After he processed the refund, he repeatedly left messages requesting that I change the Angie's List review.

[member naeme removed] had an unusual faucet that he wanted service on, so I told him over the phone (before we ever went out to his house) that we would charge him a $100.00 service charge to give an estimate. He agreed before we ever came out. All work done was free of charge at the time the work was done. Since he complained about our work after we completed it (at which time he did NOT complain), I refunded the $100.00 that we charged him. AND HE STILL WON'T CHANGE THE GRADE REGARDING THE PRICE!!! He is a dishonest member out to hurt business' reputation. Angies List is NOTORIOUS for people like this, therefore we do not recognize Angies List as a qualified dispute outlet since Angies List will not facilitate any member/company resolutions. Angies LIst only supplies a place where members can "vent" non-truths about any company - without having to supply any proof that the company actually did any work for the member! he charged us $650 to repair a broken leaky faucet. original quote was $250 after texting a picture of what was wrong but the price just went up from there. Then he came inside and told us we had mold in our walls but to call xxx company (obvious affiliation) and they can fix it for us. when we refused he called us 3 times telling us how important it was but after charging $650 to repair a few elbow pvc pieces we didnt trust anything he was saying. He also wrote up our reciept for more than he charged so we could submit a reimbursement to our insurance company. All and all super shady.

NO MEMBER from Grace Plumbing has ever met this member. Grace Plumbing has NEVER done any work for him. In fact, we have never communicated with him. Everything in this review is FALSE! I was told by a supervisor from Angies LIst that Angies LIst will NOT demand invoices to prove a complainer's validity. (Invoices are REQUIRED by The Better Business Bureau to confirm validity of a complaint!) Check the BBB to read real complaints FOR FREE!!! But since Angies List will not require a person to submit an invoice from the company that the member is writing about, how can any reviews at all be credible? Many plumbing companies do in fact pay Angies List to be found in the better search areas. The advertising is FALSE when it says that NO BUSINESS CAN PAY TO BE ON ANGIES LIST! OUR COMPANY GET SOLITED BY ANGIES LIST REGULARLY!

Called because of a very clogged toilet (hours of using a plunger). Was on a Sunday but a very knowledgeable and professional PLUMBER answered the phone. I explained the situation, he had me troubleshoot the tub and shower to verify they were draining properly. Explained the problem to me (plumbing layout) and advised me I should continue with the auger I was using and dump a few buckets of water into the bowl.. Scheduled a service call for the following day, in case he had to come out and snake through the vent. After the phone call, I continued to work the auger and use the buckets, 20 mins. later the toilet drained and is working properly. Called Grace Plumbing back and they cancelled the appointment without issue and offered future assistance if needed. Nice to get advice over the phone and not just pressured into spending hundreds of dollars. Any more plumbing problems or renos...I will give these guys a call.

I needed to have the valves replaced under my sink. This had to be done before I could install the the dishwasher that I had already purchased. I needed this job done quickly. I called several places and was told that it would be several days before someone could be sent out or worse, they didn't answer. Sunshine plumbing answered on the first try and were able to come the same day. The technician was knowledgeable and professional and for that I am grateful.

We knew that our first home needed serious re-plumbing done in order to qualify for standard home insurance before we signed the papers (PB pipes are uninsurable in most areas now). We searched Angie's List for reputable, local companies and got a few estimates for the job. What set Grace plumbing, and Kevin, apart from the pack was the manner with which Kevin spoke to us and the knowledge he possessed about his craft. Kevin came prepared to the estimate appointed (on time) and listened to our concerns patiently, understanding that we knew what we wanted and needed to have done. He brought with him a formal estimate sheet to write on as he went around the house so that we had everything in writing and could review together while making our decision...one of the other companies we went with just gave us a ballpark figure over the phone without really hearing what we wanted/needed done. After we had gotten our estimates we took a look at them all; Kevin's quote was right in the middle range of prices. We decided to go with Grace plumping because we felt that Kevin cared about how his work held up overtime; he wasn't interested in a slap-dash job to get a check. He takes pride in the outcome of his services, including warranties on much of the work, with his goal being to provide a product and service that lasts. The saying is true in most cases: You get what you pay for. HOWEVER, expensive doesn't always equate to quality so you must do your due diligence! The re-plumb commenced and within 4 days (2 days for the re-plumb, one day for inspection from the county, and 1 more to repair the drywall) the project was complete. The employees were very professional and called us daily for updates on the project. We felt included the whole time, with Kevin explaining the materials and process so that we were knowledgeable about their work. The re-plumb looks fantastic...no more ugly plumbing pipes barely hidden in a closet! Everything is completely enclosed and the drywall was repaired so well that I cannot tell any work was done at all. The horrible re-plumb from the 1990's is gone, the house functions as it should, and no more unsightly pipes. I highly recommend Grace plumbing and am very satisfied with their work on our house. I will be keeping their contact information and using them again when I am ready to start remodeling projects!

We had just moved in after making our very first home purchase, and on the first night our garbage disposal broke right along with my heart. I was worried about picking a good plumber to repair the damage. I had never had to find my own before; having been a renter my entire life. All I ever had to do was call my landlord and he or she would send an expert to repair my problem. So I procrastinated and procrastinated until I finally had to call for help. It was a Saturday afternoon and the smell from the sink had become absolutely intolerable. I needed help, and it could not wait until Monday. So I picked up my phone and did a search for a plumber with Saturday availability, and as fate would have it, I found Grace Plumbing in Lake Mary! Our technician, Kevin, put my anxiety at easy from the moment he picked up the phone. He was courteous, knowledgeable and forthcoming about fees from the start. It only got better from there. He arrived especially prompt. He was prepared and skilled in his work, furthermore he was clean and efficient in the execution of the job. Thank you Kevin! You made my first service call a stress-free, enjoyable experience. If you live in the Central Florida area and you need plumbing services, I highly recommend you call Grace Plumbing. They are available 24 hours a day and seven days a week, so there is no need to wait till morning; or worse, Monday.

They kept trying to do short cuts on the job. They would show up at 11 and leave at 1. It was supposed to be a 3 day job and it ended up being a few weeks. They applied pressure to a pipe and they said it check out, later that night, I went to my garage and water was pouring into my garage. This happened on a Friday and it took me a few days to contact them and get a hold of someone. They whole project was mess. After all this was done, my air conditioning was not getting into one side of the house. I had to have someone check it out and we realized that they smashed one of the air vent pipes when they were working on the plumbing.

The gentleman, {Member name removed} has made many errors in this post. First, as he states here, his post here was on made March 4, 2013 and the job was completed Sept 12, 2012 -- approx 6 months after job completion. That should bring rise to suspect. In fact, the job was actually completed in October of 2011 - appox. 18 months prior to his post here which explains some of his errors. There were not one but three different companies working in his house and two different companies working in his attic at that time when he complained about his AC. We did not touch his vent system as he complains. We did complete the RE-PIPE job in 3 days as we estimated. Our entire new pipe system (not just one pipe as he states) was air pressure tested and appoved upon completion of the job as required by plumbing code. The water pouring into his garage was caused by an old Delta shower valve on his 2nd floor that had been badly corroded with age and failed the next day after our re-pipe job was completed, tested, approved and signed by ALL PARTIES. I answered every call made by Mr. Ingalls immediately. I am available 24/7 even on weekends. I do not use answering services as many companies do, instead All my calls come directly to my cell phone. If I miss a call, I always call back within minutes. The total price of the RE-PIPE job was NOT $6,000.00 but was only $5025.00. We quoted Mr. Ingalls $595.00 for a new shower valve and trim with installation and life-time warranty after the re-pipe job was completed and his shower valve later failed. He appoved it and we did it within a few hours subsequently the following day. When a person waits approx 18 months to review a job that was completed in his house, you can imagine that mistakes may be made, and in this case, many mistakes were made. None of his complaints concerning our company are valid. {Member name removed} is enjoying a life time warranty with his entire re-pipe job and the shower valve. He was not happy that his shower valve failed so soon after our re-pipe work was completed and tested, but we were certainly not responsible for corrosion, age and failure of his Delta Shower faucet valve.

Description of Work: I had the pips burst under the kitchen sink. They were old and it was their time. They came out and not only fixed the problem, but in very quick order, re-worked the very odd set up that was under there that I couldn't evey figure out why it had been done in the first place. He did not just replace the pipes, he improved the whole system. And when we paid him, we had to re-write the check since it came in under what he had said. This was a very professional operation and I would recomend them and use them again! Thanks a bunch for fixing everything so fast!!

The company brought a leak detector. The equipment did not reveal any leak. It wasn't sensitive enough to find it. I paid him $350.00 and still had the leak. He gave me an estimate to do a repipe for $3800.00. I told him I would get some other opinions. He came in a timely manner but I thought the price was very expensive. Another plumber told me his equipment would not pick up the kind of leak.

Member, Grace Plumbing never charges anyone anything without first giving a quote before any work is done. Only after an agreement with every customer is any work even started. Leak detection is never an absolute science. There are some leaks that can not be located by any machine or by any person. We have the most expensive infrared and ultrasonic leak detection equipment as well as subsonic equipment and pipe locators. Even with all of that, there are still some leaks that can not be located. There is no machine is will locate every hidden leak, but I believe we are the best at locating hidden leaks. Our re--pipes have a life-time warranty even on the labor. We only use ultra-pex pipe. With our warranties and our more expensive materials that we use, our jobs cost us more to do and not every re-pipe job is the same, so you can not always just compare a re-pipe estimate by only looking at the price of the job. There are MANY factors. Most companies re-pipe houses with inferior plumbing so that they have to be re-piped again within about 10 to 15 years. We do not. I wish you and your family the best of luck in all your future endeavors and thank-you for using us for the work that we did.

Where to begin? The plumber sent by the owner showed up the first day without basic equipment that he needed...shovel, ladder, etc. During the course of the replumbling, the electrical wire to our hot water heater was cut as was a wire to a light fixture in our bathroom. Suddenly our rear sprinklers were no longer working. When the job was done, the hot/cold pipes connections were reversed in the kitchen (sink, dishwasher, icemaker), our bathtub, and in the hot water heater, plus, the plumber did not check to see that the water had been turned back on in all the rooms. We incurred expenses having the work that was done incorrectly repaired (plumbing, sprinklers, electrical). We were also billed for the balance due at the completion of the work BEFORE the work was completed. When I called to ask that Mr. Grace come out to the house to discuss all that had happened with us, he said he would discuss it on the phone. He seemed to delight in the fact that we had had the repair work done by a company other than his because it voided our warranty. In the end, we are left feeling like Mr. Grace took advantage of an elderly, hearing impaired man who was in the middle of what he felt was an emergency situation. We feel like he overcharged us and then did a sub-standard job to boot.

Grace Plumbing performed a whole house re-pipe including the water service pipe from the water meter to the house. This was a large job that took more than several days to complete. The contract was agreed upon and signed by the member's husband. The member’s husband worked with us on the entire job and the member was out of town and nothing to do with the contract and did not understand much of the work involved from our standpoint because she was out of town as she says. The first day, we did not need a ladder or a shovel, so our plumbers did not need to bring them on the first day as complained by the member. However, as we needed these and many other different tools we brought them and used them as we needed them. At no time did we use any of her tools. I do not know why else she brought this subject up. Initially, I brought paperwork for the member’s husband to sign and submit to his home insurance company so that they will reimburse him much of the plumbing work that needed to be done that would amount to much of the cost of the re-pipe, as we work with homeowners who have an insurance claim so that they can be reimbursed for much of our work. The member was probably unaware of this because she was not part of our initial discussion as she was out of town. During the construction phase of the re-pipe there was necessary "hole cutting" done to her drywall in different rooms of the house in order to make access for the new pipes in her walls. When doing this, there are times when wires may be accidentally cut while cutting the walls. This cannot be avoided as we cannot see behind the walls. This is rare so we do not automatically charge extra for wires being cut on our initial estimate. It is done on an "as needed" basis. In this case, wires were cut while cutting her walls and it was not due to any kind of negligence, hence this is a homeowner responsibility to pay for the repair of such wires. We did make temporary repairs to the wires at our expense as a courtesy so that she could have her water heater operational until she could get a licensed electrician make permanent repairs. The member wants us to pay for the electrician. When re-piping a water service line to a house underground from the water meter, we must consider whether the irrigation system is getting water from that same line and if so where the irrigation connection point was located on the original water service line. There is usually only one connection point for most houses. Once we know where this old connection point is we can then cut the irrigation connection off the old water service line and reconnect it to our new water service line so that the irrigation system can then receive water. Upon "estimating the job" originally, we were told by the member’s husband that the connection point was right near the water meter, so we initially charged for that one connection and there would not need to be any additional cost for "searching" for a hidden connection since the home owner did know where it was located. So we made our connections and tested the irrigation system. The front yard irrigation worked perfectly. But the back yard had no water and did not work. We were not told that there was a second irrigation system that had a second connection so we thought his irrigation system was like most all other houses and had one big system that traveled from the front yard to the back yard. So when the back yard did not work, we thought the back yard solenoid valves were broken or something. A day later (still during construction) we were told by the member’s husband that there was a 2nd irrigation connection hidden somewhere and that the solenoid valves were fine. But the member’s husband did not know where this connection was so we could not disconnect it from the old main and reconnect it to our new water service pipe. We were told that his old water service pipe was extended to 2 sections, so we told the member’s husband that this other connection could be anywhere along that old line and that we would need to dig up the entire old water service until we found it and that we must charge extra to do that since it was not discussed on our original estimate. But the member’s husband and the member expect us to do that work for free. We worked tirelessly for a part of a week and finished the job in a timeline as promised. Once completed, the Members were concerned about a few minor things but I came out to the house and resolved every one of their concerns. The member seemed happy with our plumbers because she told me that she gave them a tip! But apparently, a day or two later, the member felt that the hot and cold lines were reversed in some parts of her house. She never informed me of this. She never tried to have me fix or explain anything about the situation. Instead, she called a different plumber to come out and cut our pipes and reconnect them as they felt was correct. They charged her for this and the member wants us to pay for it. First of all, having a different company cut apart our plumbing in one or in this case several locations of the house voids the warranty as stated in our contract. We should have been called or notified and we would have gladly explained that the lines were NOT reversed at all. The cold lines feel HOT for a minute because they are now in the HOT ATTIC. This is June. It is over 150 deg in the attic right now. Of course it seems like the cold water is hot and that the pipes are reversed. But if you let the water run for a minute, it will cool down as normal. But these pipes were not actually reversed because we tested them. The extra charges that the member and the member’s husband paid once the re-pipe was completed were unfortunate but could not be avoided due to the normal construction practices. In fact, she never even paid the complete price of the re-pipe as stated on her contract. When I brought that up to the member, she told me that she did not care about the contract. She shorted us by over $400.00 and is demanding $750.00 or she will take her complaints to BBB and other places. I spent over 3 hours talking to her patiently on the phone regarding these issues and I was out at the house several times before, during and after the re-pipe was completed. But she remains firm that she wants us to pay for her other contractors. I went ahead and sent her a check for that $750.00 so that she actually did not actually incur any additional charges after the re-pipe. After she received the check, I asked her to modify or remove her complaint since it was no longer true that she incurred any additional costs. But she refused. I try to bend my will and my reasoning to my customer's point of view but sometimes even when you pay what a person demands, they are unwilling to compromise even to the point of being honest.

Grace Plumbing came out to my house to perform "leak detection" service as my water bill had been high for two months. Couldn't find leak-- still charged $295-- but informed me that I probably had a slab leak and recommended I replumb entire house-- 4500 square feet, low five figure amount. Google search told me that this is what they usually "find." Handyman came out a couple of days later, easily found leak outside and fixed a leaky faucet that was taking Grace three visits to repair for $100. Water meter no longer spinning, problem resolved, and money saved. Don't use these guys.

I installed a new dishwasher myself. There was a leak in the line that I installed. The water was turned off to the dishwasher under the sink and there was no leak. The plumber's representative insisted on performing a leak detection for pressure leaks in the house for $400.00 beforehand after knowing that the water meter at the house showed no movement. Then he removed the dishwasher for $175.00 and found the hose coupling link. The Plumber's representative was not licensed. The representative wanted to replace the dishwasher line for $275.00 and the dishwasher angle stop for another $275.00, but not hookup the dishwasher. We refused. The company said it was normal for an unlicensed individual to be sent alone to do work under a licensed plumber. Essentially I had a dishwasher pulled out and not re-hooked up for $575.00. It was self evident that the leak detection needed not to be done. Was 3-4 hours late from the time said to be arriving at the house. My wife waited the entire time.
Description of Work: Took out dishwasher to locate leak coming from angle stop under sink to the dishwasher. Allegedly performed leak detection throughout house to locate any pressure pipe leaks.

THEY WERE VERY CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY GOT IT DONE WITHIN THE TIME FRAME THEY SAID. ACTUALLY, I DIDN'T REALIZE WE HAD MOISTURE DAMAGE. IT WAS COMING FROM UP UNDER THE HARDWOOD FLOOR IN OUR LIVING ROOM. THEY USED A MOISTURE DETECTOR AND TOLD ME TO CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY. WE ENDED UP GETTING THE HOUSE RE-PLUMBED FOR THE COST OF THE MOISTURE DAMAGE.
Description of Work: THEY HAD TO RE-PLUMB MY ENTIRE HOUSE. I HAD A LEAK UNDER THE SLAB OF THE HOUSE, SO IT HAD TO BE REDONE.
