garage doors, glass repair, replacement windows
+ 1 moreWork not finished. I still have to pay additional funds to have my window repair completed. Unethical business practices. I plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General.
Description of Work: CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!!!! BILL PAID BUT WORK NEVER FINISHED!!! I called this company on 12/13 and Luis Garcia came out that day to repair my front broken window on my house. The work required replacing a solid glass, approximately 36 x 36 and replacing broken strip panels to interior and exterior side of window which makes the glass appear to have several small panes rather than one large panel. The window frame was in tack. He told me cost would be $160 and would cover the entire work. I paid him the entire amount and it was verbally understood that he would get back to me via telephone to let me know when he would complete the job because he needed to find/order the color match for my strips. After not hearing from him for three weeks I called and left a message to return my call. He never returned the call. I waited for about four days and called him back again. At that time he told me he was having trouble finding a color match for my window strips and asked if I could give him another week. He never called. After the week expired, I called again and spoke with a man who said he was his son. (Date 2/5/11) Note: this is almost two months after the service was done. His son had no knowledge of the problem and kept talking back and forth to his father in Spanish. Finally, when I explained the situation that I had paid in full for a job that had not been completed, he said Ms. the repair of the window frame repair was in the price charged. I explained AGAIN that my frame was not broken, nor repaired. Anyway,after much arguing, there were no strips ordered and they agreed to send me the $70 and asked for my mailing address. To date, 2/13/11, there has been no check or contact from them. Now, I will be out extra money to find another company to complete my unfinished window. Another hard lesson learned by myself for paying them in full when the job wasn't complete. I really try to trust that businesses will be responsible and have integrity but this obviously is not a given in todays times.

+ -1 moreHe measured the required piece of glass and put in the order. The glass was ready 2 weeks later as he said it would be. I picked it up. It matched the rest of the table and fit perfectly.
Description of Work: Replaced a beveled and bronzed glass table top.
