I would recommend getting a quote from them. They were professional and knowledgeable. I was satisfied with the quote.

I first called an electrician, Palmer Electric to connect my new controller as rats had eaten the wiring in the old fiber star unit. the electricians said it was too complicated even though they had repaired it once in the past and had said they would service it again if necessary. The electrician who had serviced it the first time had been replaced by someone less talented. At any rate, I then asked my pool service to remove the old one and install the new one and 4 months later they had still not done it. Since I had used fun in the sun before for solar panels I decided to ask them about it. They installed it within a week, no problems. I will call them for all of my pool needs in the future.

These people are genuine and I would recommend them for solar install and repair. getting ready to call them about a fiber optic problem I have, I wonder what they will say....stay tuned.

The leak had been repaired 13 months ago with a 12 month warranty. They wouldn't extend the warranty but did not charge as much as last time, either. Repairman was prompt, knowledgeable and even noted our roof is getting close to needing replacement.

Overall, it went pretty well. But there were complications. The owner, Mike Brewer, is a very fine person and is completely honest. He tends to be a bit talkative, but that's better than the silent types. Mike estimated both the salt controller installation and the electric heat pump installation. In addition, he offered to replace the aging straps on our solar panels for no extra charge. Mike's employees were on time and told us when they were on their way. They did a thorough and professional job of installing everything, except the heat pump electrical wiring, which required a separate job by an electrical contractor they subcontracted. That wiring was also done on time, the next day. The workers added salt to the pool and checked the chemistry, making sure the levels were good. The problems started the next day when the existing pump sprang a leak and drained a lot of water from the pool. The pump problem was not caused (directly) by the Fun in the Sun crew, but it seemed very coincidental. I called Mike and he put me in touch with an employee who offered to replace the pump for me for free if I could find a new one. He recommended the type required. I obtained it from Pinch-a-Penny that day and the employee came by the next day and installed it. He offered to install it for free, since he felt bad about the timing of the pump failure being right after their job. I still paid him $100 because he came out on his own time on the 4th of July and worked several hours installing it. I really appreciated that. Everybody with a pool knows that it goes to pot quickly without the pump running every day. The problems didn't end there because I now had to add more salt, which took several 40 lb. bags, due to refilling the pool with fresh water. Perhaps because the pump had been off for a day and because the salt level got low, some algae formed in the pool. I swept the pool once a day for the next few days until things finally stabilized. It's working great now. I would recommend Fun in the Sun again. They are trustworthy and stand behind their work. I think the problems I had were unique to my situation and I don't really blame them. They came out whenever I asked them and helped me. They didn't leave me high and "dry".

Wendy, who answers the phone & schedules appointments was pleasant & professional. James was prompt, courteous & friendly. Appointments were kept on time, work was done professionally and cleanup after finishing was better than expected. The written estimate was followed, no hidden charges or add-ons.
