Fred's Clock Repair

Sadly I did not hear from Fred. I was hoping to surprise my husband while he was out of town and have clocks fixed. I would give him a second chance as I know circumstances beyond our control happen. I prefer to work with small businesses.

Mr. Kraus worked on my Grandfather Clock and did a fantastic job. It had not ever been overhauled and therefore stopped working. He overhauled and replaced a few worn parts, cleaned it up, touched up cabinet. He had picked it up and delivered it back.

Our beautiful grandfather clock stopped working the day of our party, and I called Fred in a panic. He was very nice, and came out and fixed it right away. I was very grateful, and happy to pay him...plus he gave me some hints on keeping the grandfather clock and our cuckoo clock in good working order. I would definitely hire Fred again if I have any more trouble with clocks!

Fred restored the clock's mechanisms and got it running again. He insisted on delivering the clock to it's final destination to ensure it would not be damaged and was in good order when he left it. He had to go all the way to DeLand to do this which was very much appreciated. He did not charge extra for the delivery. We are very pleased with the work he did.

The return of the clock was great. he called arrived as promised, placed it on the wall and "tuned" the chimes. What was nice is Fred reworked the spring drilling another hone and avoided having to replace it. He is quite the mechanic and a very nice person...Thanks Fred

When I first called him he told me to make sure there were Duracell batteries in it. I looked in the cabinet and saw Duracell batteries and assumed that that was what was in it. However, when I took the clock down to take it to him, I found an off brand. When we replaced those with the Duracell, it started working again. He could have had me bring the clock to him and charged me to replace the batteries, but he saved me time and money. I'd say he knows his business and is honest.

Numerous phone calls not returned. Visit to address during listed business hours with no response to door bell, left after trying both doors. Called again weeks later, left message and number, as before, no call back.

Fred did a wonderful job, his knowledge of clocks is great, my clock is working great, he was very friendly and professional I would referr him to friends and family

Fred returned my call within a hour and half of my message. He was available that afternoon and arrived on time. He is very knowlgeable and packed our clock with care and instructed my husband on what he should do once the clock arrives in it's new location. A moving company representative was also here at the time, after Fred left, he took Fred's contact information , as a possible backup for the company when it relocates families.

Fred works out of his home and my friend and I both brought old pendulum clocks in for repair 1/23/15. We were told it would be about 6 weeks turnaround. It actually took until 4/10/15. The work was excellent and one clock required serious mechanical repair. There is no question that Fred knows his trade.

The clock is working well now and he clearly loves his work and appreciates old clocks

We had to move our Grandfather clock around the house when we were having new floors put in. After everything was settled, we noticed the clock was not working correctly. I found Fred on Angie's List. He came out the next day, made the required adjustment and serviced it while he was here. I loved having Fred in my home. Really nice man, very knowledgeable. I will be calling Fred again in the future.

Went great. He is extremely knowledgable, and capable, and responsive. I bought most of my clocks from Clock World before they went out of business, and I know that Fred worked for them. I am very happy to find him as we have numerous wind up clocks and they all eventually need cleaning and repairs.

We have a grandfather clock that was passed down to us from my inlaws. It stopped working 2 years ago and I called the only clock repair person I could find in St Cloud who refused to come and look at the clock. I joined Angies list and found Fred who made an appointment to come and check it out. I was afraid the clock was broken beyond repair since it had sat for 2 years. I was unemployed for a year and could'n't afford to get it looked at. Fred arrived at the exact time he said he would and after looking at the clock he determined that it just needed oiled. The clock works perfect now and I can't thank Fred enough for the wonderful job he did. He is a personable man. I would recommend Fred and would certainly use him again. Thanks again Fred.

It took a while to get the parts from England, but now I only have to wind it once a week and it doesn't lose time anymore. Good job.

Disappointing. Frustrating. I still need a clock repaired.

Demonstrate solid knowledge of repairing grandfather clock. Advise how to keep clock running properly and how to calibrate as necessary.

Communication with Fred was not as it should have been.Had the clocks a long time without letting me know what was going on. I had to contact him to get information, he never called me the whole time he had the clocks. Would use his services again if needed.

I found Mr. Fred on Angie's list. I called on Thursday and he came out the next morning. Oh my goodness, what a nice man. He took a look at our clock and very quickly found the problem. The pendulum was bent. He straighten it and since we had the clock since 2002 and it had never been serviced, I had him take care of that. He did the service, set the time and made sure it was in working order before he left. I highly recommend Mr. Fred for all your clock needs. He is very knowledgeable. Such a pleasure to have in your home.
