Florida Sod

Extremely disappointed in excuses and lack of accountability. Had to purchase additional sod from another vendor to fix patchy holes.

I think they did a great job and would use again if needed. They were careful to identify sprinkler heads and leave an unsodded border around house and pool deck as requested.

-make sure you are clear on what you want prior to work being done. -get another bid

I live approximately 25 miles from the house and did not want to travel back and forth if I did not have to. Fed assured me that he would set the timers up to run every day for 2 weeks and then stop back by and reset them to two days per week, 5 minutes per zone.I called him and reminded him after the 2 week period and he said he had forgotten about it and was glad I called and that he would get out there that day and take care of it. He left me a message the next day saying it was taken care of. Two more weeks pass and I get a water bill for over $700!! When confronted, he neither admitted nor denied and blew me off. I immediately went out there and checked the sprinkler timer and the sprinklers had been running 40-50 minutes per zone (5 zones) for over a month! He did not reset the timer as he said. When I asked about it, he ignored me.Further, when I asked the water company if there was anything they could do, they said if I could provide proof of the new lawn, they would give me a small credit back which is better than nothing. But, when I called Fred at Florida Sod (three times) to say that I could not find the receipt he gave me the day of the install and would he please FAX me another, he said he would but has not done it despite repeated phone calls from me. This is a fly by night operation out of the back of a truck and although the product is good, the service is horrible. To make matters worse, he underestimate my job by 1 pallet of SOD. He would not come back and install. All he did was order me another pallet (that I had to pay $50 for) and a truck dropped it off and my wife and I had to lay it down ourselves.I WOULD NOT USE or RECCOMMEND THIS COMPANY again.
