Alberta Okoro is the owner of Emplayce and is a professional organizer and a very pleasant lady. I could not be happier with her services. I met her at an emergency preparedness fair and carried her business card around for several months, intending to give her a call sometime. I finally called her one day when I suddenly realized I had a couple of days at home with no kids and wanted to take full advantage of the time! I wasn't certain if she would be able to fit me in on such short notice, and, in fact, she did have plans but (possibly hearing the desperation in my voice) reworked her schedule to accommodate me. She arrived on time and completely prepared with various organization systems, file folders, labels, etc. She offers a (one hour) free consultation, whatever it was, I received at least that. I actually had several rooms I wanted to organize, but with limited time and a limited budget, had to narrow down what I wanted to accomplish while she was there. I was a little overwhelmed with just trying to figure out where I wanted to start but she immediately helped to focus the time we had by asking the perfect question: When you come home from work and walk into your house after being away for several hours, what is the room or area that just REALLY bothers you? She followed up that initial question with lots of other questions. Instead of coming in and deciding what I needed, she made the process a collaborative effort by asking about my daily routine, what things I liked to do, what was currently working for me and what wasn't. She stayed focused throughout the process (and helped me to stay focused) and I was amazed at how much was accomplished in the time we spent. Two rooms went from a mess to complete organization. What a difference! You don't realize how much your surroundings affect you (your mood, your energy, etc.) until such a drastic change is made. She also gave several suggestions for the rooms we could not get to. She even called back a couple of days after we finished to see how things were working out now that I had a few days to live with what we'd done. Although it was obvious that I could probably use her help in other rooms in my house, I never felt pressured by her to engage her services further , she was just happy to help for as long as I wanted her there. I will definitely have her come back as soon as I'm able. Money is tight, but having her come in and help organize my home and my life has been a great investment!

I met Alberta at a networking event through the Seminole Chamber and discovered to my delight that she helps small businesses as well as individuals in their homes. I work out of my house, so I need a functional office. Revamping my files had been on my "to-do" list for 2 years! Alberta warned me it would be a very tedious process, but was ready to jump in. She returned calls and e-mails promptly, arrived right on time on the scheduled day, and helped keep me on task while we tackled this huge project. We did not finish by the end of that day, but with her guidance I was able to continue and complete the job on my own. She did some research for me into what documents I needed to keep for my business, and really went above and beyond in providing support, direction, and great ideas. My finished filing system is a joy to behold, and I probably would never have gotten around to it without Alberta's help.
Description of Work: Purge and overhaul my filing system. I have a 41" wide, 4-drawer lateral file that was full of every imaginable piece of paper for my personal and small business records. Now it's neat, clearly labeled, sorted by appropriate broad categories and file names, and a dream to use!
