Drake Lawn & Pest Control

It went well. The technician showed up on time, was very courteous and clean (wore footies over his shoes). He took care of any specific concerns and then did his normal routine inside and outside - taking care of spider web and mud dobbers. I used them because Drake has a good reputation and this offer was too enticing not to use it. We did sign up for every other month service, but did not have to sign any kind of a contract.

I purchased an Angie's List "Big Deal" for this company for $43 and scheduled to have them come treat my home for German cockroaches. The young lady that took my call told me upfront that treatment for this type of pest was going to cost more than the "deal" would cover, and explained why. I had to agree - I had been trying to get rid of these pests for the better part of a year and was only barely controlling them! My ex and his son had moved into my totally roach-free home in January 2011 and within a few months we were totally over-run with the horrible pests! When I finally got the two biggest parts of the problem out of my house (the ex-BF and his grown son) in July 2012, I used DIY treatments and got the infestation down considerably, but they were still there giving me daily reminders of their presence! What a nightmare! Drake sent Craig, a very knowledgeable and well-experienced young man to my home, and we agreed that I would need at least two, and perhaps several treatments to thoroughly rid my home of German cockroaches. The first treatment was on or about June 14th - I saw immediate improvement, and saw fewer and fewer bugs as the days went by. Craig was VERY thorough, and treated my home inside and out. We scheduled a second treatment for July 5th, and once again, the bug sitings grew less and less. To date, I have seen -0- bugs for about three weeks now, and I couldn't be more pleased! I understand that some still may hatch out, and I may have to call and schedule another treatment, as these are some of the most difficult pests to actually get rid of once they get in your house, but I can assure you - I will gladly call Drake Pest Control and pay them for another treatment if need be! I have dealt with pest control companies in the past, but I honestly have never dealt with a more more honest, up-front and knowledgeable company, and have already recommended them to a friend for whom they have treated and banished a carpenter ant infestation!

Did exactly what they said for a good price. Pleased with no strong arm to buy continued service. Servcie offer was priced inline with others and I will do as soon as we settle in our, for us, new home.

They did okay. They came and sprayed. I then signed a contract for service every other month. The guy showed up without an appointment and wanted to spray outside. I had an appointment and needed to leave. I didn't like that they came without an appointment so I canceled their service. When they did the work for the Big Deal, they did a thorough job and I was pleased.

They were fine. They came out, did what they're supposed to do and put me into a contract. They were very nice, I didn't have any problems.

I purchased this as an Angie's List deal of the day. It is for three, mosquito spraying treatments (once a month, for three month). Before purchasing this deal, I called the company for I had a few questions on their treatment and product. They were very polite and were able to answer my questions. I was very appreciated with their patience. They even waited on the phone as I purchase the deal of the da,y so that they could schedule my first application for the next day. I was very surprised that they were able to fit me in so quickly. Before they came out to do a treatment, my kids and I were getting bit by mosquitos no matter what time of day we went out to play (10am, 12pm, 4pm). After the treatments, we have had a huge decrease in bits. Thank you so much for returning the fun to our outdoor play. They are due to come out again in the next couple of days.

They were really, very good. They came early, went through the house doing everything they needed to do, and were on time and professional. We have gotten so much rain, that when I saw a bug on my front step, I thought it was worth hiring them to do preventative work. They did the job for the price I paid on the Big Deal, and gave me an email with more recommendations for the future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. He explained everything he was doing and gave me a lot of information about termite. We just appreciated all he did. It was a good price.

Everything went very well and he explained everything he did , at the end offered his continuous service contract but at that point I was not ready for any contract , however I will use Drake again in the future if required.

It went really well. He was punctual and courteous. He explained everything. I purchased a continuous prevention plan from him.

Craig arrived on Time, introduced himself. He was very professional. explained what he was going to do. After finishing he explained some service's that would be available for me. I was very happy with the service. (Angie's list big deal) I will use Drake again in the future.

I was unable to use the big deal due the company not servicing condos. They were very nice on the phone and professional.

Went very good. Craig was very nice and explained everything. Sprayed all around the exterior of my house and interior and did a little extra for my trouble areas and gave me good pointers for the future. Swept all my eves and outside of the house for webs and other stuff. I only paid for the 45.00 service but signed up for more.

The service did what he had to do. It is what it is.

Seemed to be thorough--pulled out the stove to expose nests, checked for pest trails, treated inside and out. Representative was accompanied by a trainee. Representative encouraged me to consider a regular service, but he was not high pressure about it.

We purchased an "Angie's Deal" with Drakes for $43...we had to pay a bit more due to the size of our house. However, having utilized "deals" before, we were a bit concerned that it would be an abbreviated service treatment...you know, just to "get by". Richie, our service tech arrived a bit early, explained everything thoroughly and got to work. In our many many years of home ownership, we've NEVER had a more complete and thorough extermination service. We were so please with the service, professionalism and price that we purchased a yearly contract. We would highly recommend!! Thank you Drakes and thank you Richie.

it went great Felipe explained the difference between the German roaches here in NYC we call them C***-a- roaches. how they are the big ones there. Felipe also sprayed/placed a putty like substance in certain areas in the kitchen to help eradicate the ones we did not see.

We negotiated a monthly rate for return visits and the service has been very effective in eliminating the ants we were experiencing on the exterior of the home. We have yet to see ANY insects inside since the service began. Anyone who lives in Florida is aware of the insects you encounter in and around your home, even if you are fanatically clean like my wife! Service provider was very thorough, professional and friendly service minded. Couldn't be happier with the person or the service. Great Company!

I have had an excellent experience with them. They came on time and they did exactly what I wanted them to do. They got rid of the problem that I had with the pests. They explained exactly what they were going to do and they were able to fix it.

The representative was pleasant and professional. He treated with bait in drawers and cupboards. Even though he said he treated the exterior, I saw ant trails in a number of places. I gathered that I was being charged so small a fee to attract me as a customer. It was explained to me that treatments were on a bi-monthly basis at a rate of $68. per treatment. When I said that the yearly cost was more than other providers charged, the rate was reduced to $58; then $48. What I was not comfortable with was insistence that I set up an account that day with my charge card If I did not sign up that day, I would have to pay the full service fee of $120. I was told that the policy was not to accept checks. At the time I was willing to pay for 3 treatments in adance with a check. The representative said he would speak with his supervisor and have the supervisor get back to me. Several days later, a person identifying himself as the boss, called. When I repeated my proposal of paying with a check in advance, he said he would call a person in the office who dealt with finances; and that person would call me. I am still waiting to hear from them.

It looks pretty good. I got what I asked for. The man is courteous. Everything went great. He did more than I thought he was going to do which is even better.

Growing up in Florida I never paid much attention to grass. It's FL right? It's grass and it grows. It was only after becoming a homeowner did I realize how much work goes into keeping a beautiful lawn. I feel lucky to have found a company that does all the hard work for me. I've shopped around and although they're not the cheapest, you definitely get what you pay for. They are one of the only companies with a guarantee for replacement, they have a great staff, and I believe the technician was even explaining that they use higher quality chemicals than other lawn companies. Whatever it is, IT'S WORKING! Very satisfied and ALL my neighbors have commented on how great my yard looks. Most of them have signed up with Drake, too, because of it!

Drake has been able to rejuvenate my lawn that Pest Bear destroyed over this past year. The cost is a bit higher for them but they are worth it when you consider what it would cost to replace a destroyed lawn. I have used Pest Bear, Southern Lawns, True Green and a couple of others over the past 7 years; Drake has been the best and I will continue using them assuming they continue providing great service.

Everything always goes well with Drake. They are very responsive to any concerns or issues that I might have, and they always do a good job.
